I didn't have a co-signer and was looking for something under 10k. The manager then comes out and shakes my hand and tells me they have one SUV that I qualified for. It was a 2005 GMC Denali. 140,000 miles and a cracked windshield. I asked if there were any sedans available, I was told "no". I was also assured that if I wanted to qualify for a better car selection, I'd need a co-signer. I called a woman who works in the car industry for years. She strongly suggests that if you are trying to rebuild your credit, go to the big chain dealerships... Liberty, Ganley, Motor Cars, etc. They have programs "special financing" for those who are trying to get a reliable car without the insane miles and who don't have the best credit. Dealerships like this will just put you in cars that are on their last leg. I wanted to see what they had and was disappointed in how management specifically treats potential customers. Bottom line, people need cars and may just take a chance with dealerships like these. Be careful.

Not trustworthy! Avoid at all cost. Before the ink was dry as I was half an hour down the road all…read morethe check engine lights appeared on. I'm sure the codes were cleared momentarily to manipulate the sale. At the time of the sale, I purchased the extended warranty and Next Step was pushy about their shop doing the repairs. The car was with them for months often on because the repairs were so poorly done. The Audi dealership said upon the initial inspection after I purchased the vehicle, reported the repairs would exceed the value of the car, keep in mind this was shortly after the purchase because the check engine lights were on. The car was inspected by 2 independent mechanics after Next Steps "New Engine" installment and the overwhelming report is that the NEXT STEP should never touch a vehicle again. Bolts were missing parts were put in the wrong place, hoses weren't connected properly. The list goes on and on it was about a 10 page detailed report from each in evaluator. The independent mechanics were disgusted that NEXT STEP would take advantage of a customer because Audi prides itself on brand loyalty rather than making a quick slimy sale. Don't walk away from this place, RUN. It's more like NEXT "MISTAKE" rather than NEXT STEP.

Once in Maryland I had to change the tires as they were bald and Matt refused to replace them before purchase. Then I had the car inspected at the local Mercedes' dealer and it had a major oil leak that had to be repaired in addition to all the maintenance required at 60k miles. Next step Auto Sales does not service their vehicles before selling them. Their goal is to stick you with maintenance costs and not take any liability for the condition of their cars before selling them. The Mercedes' dealer quoted 4K worth of maintenance required after inspection. I purchased the car for 27k. Steve the dealer owner denied the oil leak even though Mercedes' listed this issue on their inspection report. Steve also refused to honor the dealer warranty that came with the vehicle purchase which includes the engine and was quoted for 90 days / 3000 miles. I would not recommend buying a car from this shade tree dealer. Customer satisfaction is not on their radar at all! They just want to get your money and leave you stuck with a poorly maintained vehicle. Very sad. Below are pictures of the air filter and cabin air filter of the Mercedes' that they claimed to have serviced before the sale. Laughable to say the least. These guys should change their dealer name to "3 steps back auto sales"! If it was not for them having the particular car I wanted with the options I was looking for I would not even have bought a car from a non factory sponsored dealer like this one. Not hard to see the difference in customer service and the vehicle condition when using a low budget shady dealer such as this one. Stay away!

My recent experience with Das Auto Carlot, particularly with the owner Mike, was extremely…read moredisappointing and stressful. I purchased a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder from the lot, and almost immediately after driving off, the check engine light came on. Mike directed me to two separate shops to have the issue fixed, but neither shop was able to resolve the problem. During this time, I made it clear to Mike that I am pregnant, with children already depending on me, and I urgently needed a reliable vehicle or at least a loaner while I waited. His solution was to offer to "go half" on a rental, but even then, he cheated me out of his portion of the payment. When I realized the Nissan could not be repaired in a reasonable time, I asked for my money back. Instead of being straightforward, Mike attempted to return less than half of the $3,000 I had paid. He then tried to pressure me into taking an old Buick as a downgrade, which did not have the seating space I required for car seats. He promised that it would only be temporary until a Honda part came in, but when the part arrived, he refused to switch me into the vehicle as agreed. Mike also made unethical demands, telling me that if I wrote him two positive online reviews, he would "work something out." I refused to be manipulated into writing fake reviews in exchange for service I was already owed. I kept thorough records of our interactions--text messages and recorded phone calls--so that I would have proof of how the situation was handled. If anyone doubts this, I am willing to provide evidence directly. To make matters worse, I discovered that Das Auto was attempting to resell the Nissan Pathfinder after claiming it had been sent to auction. When I brought this up, I was immediately blocked. Shannon, another employee, was rude and unprofessional throughout the process, while Chad and Mike's brother were the only ones who attempted to handle things respectfully and fairly. Chad in particular tried to ensure I got my refund, but it was clear Mike was the one holding everything up. Mike even went as far as to hold onto a check from Credit Acceptance that was in my name, and I later learned he had opened my mail without my permission, which is illegal. Only after my lawyer contacted the bank did Mike suddenly call me and claim my check was ready. This entire ordeal was stressful, manipulative, and dishonest. If you are considering purchasing a car from Das Auto Carlot, I strongly urge you to reconsider. My experience showed a pattern of dishonesty, lack of accountability, and disrespect for customers' rights and needs. The only positive part of my interaction was with Chad and Mike's brother, who at least tried to do right by me. Unfortunately, the owner himself proved untrustworthy, and I would not recommend doing business with him

I checked her attitude and then told me to come down to the store and see what happens when I pull up. Like who is you a car salesman "saleswoman". can't even keep a damn lead.
