Fantastic job start to finish. I got an estimate within two days and was scheduled within a week. All existing shingles stripped, ice and water shield installed on all gutter lines, valleys, hips, ridges and dormers. Synthetic underlayment installed on remainder of roof. All new shingles including hip and ridge shingles installed, new ridge vent, new pipe boots and chimney reflashed. Complete, and I mean complete, clean up (right down to picking up loose nails with super magnets). All done in ONE DAY! Miscommunication is the biggest concern. A homeowner puts a roof on once every 30 years. Simply put, worker on the roof tells the homeowner 3 plywood panels needed @ the contracted rate of 100$ sheet installed,, points to each one, says it several times, just three needed. Curtis, the liaison between the crew, the owner Segundo, and the homeowner tells us 12 are needed, called Curtis back and let him know the supervisor on the job Luis, told us 3. That's 300$ extra or $1200 extra, that's a big difference to me, he said ok if it's 3 then it's 300$. Then hours later get a call stating it was 12 sheets put on and it will be the $1200. When I called Curtis, he became upset, indignant, when I questioned the difference and he stated he didn't appreciate being called a liar. I let him know I'd go in the attic and count them, he called back and said only 11 were used. My husband is in the dumpster now counting them. ARJ does this daily, a homeowner once every 20-30 years. They offer a quote, let you work with them on a better price. That's great. They let you know they order a little extra to get the job done and not run out of material. They let you know driftwood color is available but most other colors are not due to production/Covid or something like that. They also say they'll leave you a package of shingles. They order a half a pallet more shingles than needed, leave you about 5 out of the package shingles and they left me that "extra" plywood piece. On the bright side the roof looks nice and the crew cleaned up pretty well... which includes the $$ and more materials for the next job. read more
