I stopped here based on the Yelp! Recommendations since I was in the area and hungry. I had a taste for gyros and was directed here. I ordered the gyro plate and my girlfriend ordered the Gyro panini...the gyro was adequate, fries we crispy and it was also served with a Greeks salad. The salad was drenched in Italian dressing but fine. My girlfriend really enjoyed the Panini which is NOT a true Panini...but a gryo sandwich topped with an added pita bread and tossed in a panini iron. I give it three stars cuz if I am in the area again I'll stop by but no way in hades am I making a special trip out here...too many places closer to me that are better. read more

I used to go to Ariston's a lot until I saw a mouse in their lobby and when I called to suggest an exterminator they kept switching me to different people and no one could understand what I was saying. By Far the Best Gyros and Kabobs on the south side. The sauce is the amazing. Every time I walk in I get great service and great food. If there is a wait, it is always short...and worth it. If you aren't close to the area its worth a day trip. There is a nice out door eating area in the summer and plenty of seating inside as well. ENJOY! read more

Had an Uber Eats order with them and they had made the food on time, I'll give them that. The driver didn't come through and we waited over 45 minutes for the Uber Eats Support to fix the problem. They cancelled the order and told us to reorder and when we did they sent us the cold food that had been sitting there for nearly an hour at that point. We called to see why they hadn't sent us fresh food and they wouldn't correct or own up to their mistake, blaming it on Uber instead. Will not be ordering from here again. read more

To me this is the best gyro in the south burbs. I know many people do not like the sweet sauce however I happen to like it better than what you will get at most of the other gyro restaurants in the area. The best gyros anywhere. I live nowhere near here, but whenever I am close, I stop by for a gyro. Pita bread is always toasted perfectly, meat is hot, and their special sweet gyro sauce, in my opinion,tastes far better than the standard gyro sauce. I frequently went here and I loved the food and the staff, the customer service is the best. But one fateful day I ordered a gyro for myself and my husband, and it went down good but came up horrible! We both had to take off work the next day because we had some type of food borne bacteria. To my surprise a worker who I had known from working at Babas in Oak Forest was working in the back. I was happy to see him because he always use to hook it up. Big baby no pickle he used to say to me in his heavy accent! Well we order the gyro, chicken pita, salad, fries (we like variety). Gyro was good but small. Nikki's in midlothian loads the gyro plate up enough for two people to eat. I enjoyed the salad. The dressing is a bit heavy. Fries are soggy and not crispy. Chicken is under seasoned. Like come on throw some extra garlic, basil, oregano....something on there. For 30 bucks it definitely was not worth it. read more

I am highly pissed off I went into this restaurant and ordered a gyro with feta cheese and I was charged 1.25 cents for the cheese, which was no problem. The problem is when I got home there was no cheese on my sandwich so I called and explained to the guy who answered he stated to bring the sandwich back he didn't offer an apology or anything, instead he searched all through the sandwich as if I was lying and then accused me of taking the cheese off and bringing the sandwich back like seriously why on earth would anyone do that it makes no sense whatsoever. He goes on to say the guy who made my food is adamant that he put cheese on it and that it was American cheese and maybe it melted first off I didn't order American cheese and he knew that instead of owning up to your mistake you verbally attack a paying customer with accusations of stealing 1.25 cent cheese. I will never ever patronize this business again just because you been around for 30 odd years doesn't give you the right to talk to or treat people with disrespect. I went home to eat a sandwich, but after I open the wrapper I noticed that the sandwich was beef, and very disappointed because I did order beef philly I ordered chicken because I do not eat beef.
