I now have to get metal braces to straighten my teeth that are now crooked do the oversized crowns, which also caused severe plaque and gum disease. The dental college wanted to know who did the work on my teeth. They are going to use the images of my teeth to teach students what NOT to do! If Kevin Jackson put crowns in your mouth go to a School of Dentistry and have them checked out. This time things were very much the same as the office is spotless, office staff is efficient, assistant is very professional and I had a x-ray done of the tooth in question. Dr. Azizi explained the necessity of the root canal, carefully administered the anesthesia, and described each step as he went forward. Between the local anesthesia and my favorite podcast (I wore earphones) the 45-50 minutes went very quickly and painlessly. I almost fell asleep. That first visit, I was brought to a chair immediately as soon as I walked into the office. The second visit, I was brought to a chair within 5 minutes. He was very communicative informing me what he was going to do every step of the way. His bedside manner was beyond my expectations. I've been lucky enough to not have needed much dental work (got a full mouth of chicklets) but after my cleaning in July, I ended up experiencing some sort of discomfort on one side on my mouth on & off for a few months so I thought (nervously) I better get it checked out! Went in about a week & a half ago & he gave me the possibilities of what was happening (I googled the symptoms beforehand & was getting nervous that a root canal - my first ever - was coming in the near future - YIKES!!) He told me he would know more after removing the old filling & he decided to try fillings & bonding to start - probably because he saw the look of terror when he said "extract" or "root canal"!! He also told me what to expect & that I should give the tooth about one week to settle down & he was completely right about that! I'm not 100% sure that fillings will solve the problem but the aching seems to have subsided for now so I'm gonna ride it out & see what happens. I am unable to floss where the work was done so I left a message for a follow up visit in hopes that it's an easy fix. If not, I can always update my Yelp review... lol! P.S.
