Items are more pricey than the big chain stores but it's okay because when I need something in a pinch, this shop is perfect. On another occasion, I stopped in for a specific type of birthday card that they didn't have when I eyed the Chinese New Year red envelopes. The price? A couple dollars for one. Yikes! Parking is generally easy and free. The staff is friendly and helpful. Please support this local business. Go in and browse the goodies here.

They have journals, planners, planner refills, Crane stationery, and a selection of fine gift wrap. You can find Claire Fontaine and Rhodia products here, as well as a few European and Japanese brands. I can usually find what I need here without assistance, so I don't really have much of an opinion about the customer service except to say that it's not exceptionally warm personalities at the register. This isn't important to me, but if it is for you, this is not a place where the staff will hold your hand or check on you actively. Still a solid little neighborhood stationery store, and very different in terms of stock and character from its sister store in Berkeley's Elmwood Neighborhood (I shop both).

After finally admitting defeat in what felt like a never-ending battle with my 2 Brother printers,…read moreI called a few numbers to see if there was a chance I could get them serviced, rather than just buying new ones at $600 a piece. OMS was the perfect fit. Cheryl answered the phone and after confirming they could service my specific models, she said they could send a technician to my home and told me the hourly rate and also that they didn't have a 2-hr service minimum or anything like that (which other places I called did have). I'm a mobile notary so even though these printers are for my business, it's not like I have an office with enough printer problems for two hours of work. I do print around 1,000 pages/day, so they're definitely work horses and I need them running at their best or I can't get work. After the short call, I had an appointment scheduled, and a couple days later, right at 10 a.m. (for an appt window between 10 & noon), I received a call from their technician and Co-owner, David, who was already on his way). I really appreciated his timeliness and communication and all the work he put in to diagnose/repair one printer, and laying the other to rest. David was friendly and worked diligently for the entire hour-plus time that he was here. he also went over a few different printer options for when I'm ready to purchase a new one and let me know what they sell and service through their company, so I look forward to working with them again in the future!

Our law firm has been utilizing National Cartridge Co for at least four years now, and I, as an…read moreoffice manager, am very difficult to please when it comes to customer satisfaction. I've tried remanufactured products from other companies in the past but always had problems, especially with ink jet. So I stopped. That is until I found this company, and it's been great ever since. We use both ink jet and laser in this office, and except for one laser issue, I'm still buying from NCC. When laser problem occurred, I had another cartridge the next day. Customer service doesn't get any better than this, and Ken, the owner, stands behind his products 100%, so I don't worry. Everything prints fine, and I can't tell the difference between HP and NCC products. Aside from saving us a bundle of money, this is the best company I think I've ever dealt with in my office management career. All I can say is, you can't lose with this company. If you want to save money on printing, this is the place to go. AND thank you, Ken, for such good service!
