I have a decent dental insurance plan through a major national company. The ignorant dental staff told me I could not use my dental insurance at their office, because my plan was only a "discount dental plan" and not actual dental insurance, and that Gilmer Family Dental could not accept it. They were completely wrong. Mind you, I pay my dental policy premium monthly, and have used it at other dental offices. I even offered to show them my dental insurance policy membership card, which they refused (still sticking to their claim that it was a type of "discount club")! It was like trying to reason with a drunk! If you like to bash your head against a brick wall just for fun, go to this dental office. If not, keep your sanity and go elsewhere. You have been warned!!

Amazing dentists and staff!…read more Came here for a checkup and cleaning. The hygienist was very gentle. The gal up front is super nice. The doctor came in and did a very thorough exam. He saw that I broke a filling in one of my back teeth. He showed me a picture on the computer screen and I just knew that I had to get that fixed. He was very gentle with the shot and I didn't hurt afterwards at all. The assistants were friendly too. I will definitely be sending my friends and family here! See y'all in six months!
