I can't speak to Dr. Teitel's merits as a medical provider because, after making 4 separate appointments to see him based on my referral from my GP for a specific issue, I have yet to have an actual appointment. I am only reviewing the administrative aspects of this medical provider.
Only one time did this office actually have the courtesy to call me to arrange a new appointment time when they e-cancelled any of my appointments. The other times, they simply cancelled my appointment online and never called me! Moreover, they have never apologized for their repeated unprofessional actions, rather asserting the defense that they settle up the appointments at the end of each day, so this stuff happens. Consequently, they have either offered appointment times that were not actually available or they have cancelled with minimal notice without explanation, apology, or any kind of accommodation. I am notifying the GP who referred me here that the only conclusion I could draw from this experience is that this may not be a fully functional or reputable medical office.

At the very end of the day, about 7 hours after I received the e-cancellation, this office called me to confirm the apt. Huh? I asked them to re-confirm what the e-cancellation that morning meant, to which they replied "hmmm, you're not the first person who's telling me this is happening...but we have you down for that apt." Well, since I had already spent 3 weeks trying to see this doctor to whom I had been referred, I just kept the apt.
Dr. Teitel himself is very pleasant and doesn't pressure you into decisions (i.e., he thought it was fine that I wanted to try an alternative or two before turning to pharmaceuticals). Just would have liked a little more input/specific suggestions about ways to deal with the specific issue during this process, but in no way did he seem adverse to questions or anything.
In summary, a nice, capable doctor, but the administrative aspects of this particular office may be more of a headache than some would want to take on. read more
