I've already gone through maybe 8 different roofers in a year span. This review for just estimation process so far for an old house with low slope roof. Because reviews have limited space, I'll update this after service is completed. Neighbors suggest specifically contact Chuck. Same day quote. 11/12/2025 Chuck and Eric visited. They were easy to talk to, explains well; professional. And most of all, they actually gave CORRECT solutions for a low slope roof from ventilation design to diligence in my nailing concerns (with new ducts squashed inside the attic, knowing we have a deck size, to knowing it takes diligence nailing with decks/planks vs typical plywood). They actually check the attic too which most roofers refuse to do, and think it's not necessary. They even found out that our HVAC didn't do the correct work and immediate repairs were needed. They hit all the points I needed in testing....why do I have to test professionals? We've gone through over 8 roofers to find out we were given wrong info. - Anyone with old home issues to creative roofing of all sorts, they'll take the time to care = craft vs cookie cutting/plug and play roof scammers out there. - Chuck is willing to address concerns! Even about my concern about some negative Yelp reviews that were concerning to me.  Chuck and Eric checked the attic, to figure out what type of roof bottom we have. We have a low slope roof, 1950s home, with a 1inch deck and 2x6 truss underneath it. - From the attic access, they took the extra step to flashlight look into the smaller spaces and how the ducts are squashed in. They were confident that our attic/roof situation with nail concerns will not be a concern, and the smaller nails used will not damage the new ducts. My concern is damage to our new HVAC ducts squashed within our tiny attic space. Temporary old HVAC unit location hole on the roof (and rain coming soon!): - Temporary fix is free if we plan to use them for our roofing. Tarp is not 100%, could leak a little but less. As long as it's not continuous leak, than mold isn't an issue. - Currently our temporary tarp by another company is causing more water to drip in than block out. - On top of the tarp, Eric mentioned adding 30lbs to those areas in case of high winds too. This can buy enough time for weeks. The earliest they are available is 2-3weeks from now. - They'll have their superintendent or staff help. All staff arrive in a company marked car, so we'll know who they are. That staff was able to come the same day.  Low Slope Roof: Everything they suggested was correct! - Certain underlayment is suggested because of the roof pitch. - Ventilation options: O'Hagin low profile vents used in high and low areas; these are used for intake and exhaust air = CORRECT. - Our house is slats/planking!!!! Vs just plywood = CORRECT. They will quote the price per foot plank vs per plywood. Most people keep quoting only plywood which our roof IS NOT. We've gotten roofers tell us that these planking/our deck has gaps where nails can't hold down shingles; and sell us full plywood cover over the whole roof to do shingles. Ariat/Chuck mentioned the solution is just normal craft of diligent nailing, watching where to nail the shingles. - Vents are included.  - Gutters: They don't do gutters but they have a gutter person they highly recommend. We need gutters due to qualifying for the foundation injection warranty done. Chuck and Eric mentioned that there aren't really anyone they'll recommend, but only this gutter person. And they do seamless gutters too. Warranty, and Financing - 10 Years labor. - If use the correct manufacturing GAF products, then it could be a 50yr warranty (which a neighbor Tommy did). Ariat will submit all the info to the manufacturer, where we will get an official warranty from the manufacturer. Any repairs done, Ariat are paid by the manufacturer to fix for us for free. They like using GAF warranty more than others like Owens Corning. - Cost could be a bit more pricey for a low slope roof and warranty. - Credit card 4% fee. Financing company, enhancify with multiple loans with soft pull. They'll offer multiple loans and terms. Can take more loan if qualify. Other Items we need to prep/understand before roofing work starts: - Moving the Stove Hood Range location, just 3 feet away. We have options to maybe do elbow or flex for the hood, its a 7inch tee top on the top. - Electrical on the roof: They can work underneath it fine. But if our electrician were to remove it/bring it indoors, then it might be best to do it before roofers start work. - Plumber needed to identify the 2 abandoned pipes. When the roof is taken off, they can see through the vents and see if it goes through. But it's best for a plumber to figure out. - HVAC unit: No cover is needed or for it to be shut down. They don't worry about debris going into it. They mentioned that ground units is usually the worry for that, and to cover it up before roofing work. read more

Working with Sol-Up for Solar Panels to put on our roofs, their company had recommended getting some repairs done on the roof prior to installing Solar Panels. Ariat Roofing was their recommended roofing provider. Ariat Roofing arrived on-time for the appointment that was scheduled. They took lots of pictures and went through the entire process! This included showing pictures of the broken tiles on the roof, tiles in wrong locations, paper underneath the tiles needed to be replaced, and debris to be cleaned up on the roof! The company had recommended a complete reroof prior to installing Solar Panels. Ariat Roofing had provided the quotes same day! The service was outstanding! So techs came Wednesday on time for estimate inspection (good) Was told I would receive proposal no later than a few days. (Ok) Called office Monday was told they were waiting for Josh to give them the final inspection information and I would receive email proposal that evening. (Nothing) Called again Wednesday (a week since initial inspection) was again told they were waiting for the information from Josh and I would receive an email that evening. (Ugh) I just told Dawn to forget it cause now I felt like I was being a bother to them. (No bueno) Well since Wednesday 11/5/2025 I have gotten 3 inspections with solid proposals in 2 days time from 3 other roofing companies (WOW ) Ariat was referred to me by Elevate Restore. A tip to others looking to hire roofers, plumbers, electricians etc... Contact them through Yelp or other app you may use. Companies seem more implied, responsive and genuine to your needs. read more

It all began with the cutomer service of the office employee (Cecilia) who was on it as far as friendly, communication, roof color, HOA contact and scheduling. My husband and I were truly amazed at the prompt arrival of the crew, amazing job, work ethic and clean up of the property after the job was completed. Our 1800 sq ft home was completed in one day and looks fabulous. Did I mention that the foreman and owner of the business supervised on the jobsite and were humbe and kind. Tried to set up an appointment for them to come out to give me an estimate DAWN couldn't give me a set date when she just said when they're available again they will call me back which was fine but my home insurance company is about to cancel my policy due to roof conditions I asked her if she could send me in writing they are coming out soon since that's what my agent told me to send as long as I have a proof that I have someone coming out to fix the roof they will reconsider and she basically told me to have them call her NO I said they need in writing and DAWN got snappy. We chose Ariat Roofing to reroof our home and it was a great experience from initial estimate to final review. The workers showed up on time and were ready to work as soon as they pulled up to the house. The crew were incredibly focused, professional, respectful, and unbelievably hard working. The four guys on our roof sounded like twelve because they worked so hard and in such an unrelenting manner. They would pull up in their truck, quietly set out a few items, and then, almost instantaneously, a crescendo of work would begin seemingly all at once. They worked hard and consistently throughout the entire day. Other roofers said it would take 5 days or possibly more. Ariat said 3 days and finished exactly on schedule. They also educated me on the goal of getting the water off the roof and onto the ground, without touching the house, as quickly as possible. They put some kind of sealant where the roof seams come together (so water will not fall through the open gap onto the underpayment beneath) and used weather stripping under the seams as well. Most of the roofers we spoke to only said they would put a new underlayment on top of the old. Ariat Roofing makes use of the best techniques and materials to provide multiple layers of defense for your roof. You might be fine only adding a new underlayment on top of the old. We do live in a desert. But Ariat Roofing does not conduct business that way. A true professional only knows one way to do things; the right way. They take pride in a job well done and are physically sickened by substandard work. The employees of Ariat Roofing are those true professionals. They need to see the job done correctly in order to be satisfied. Their roofs should increase the property value of a house over comparable homes. An Ariat roof should be noted by realtors/home inspectors when they come across them. They are significantly better and will last much longer. One final mention in order to paint a more complete picture of our experience with Ariat Roofing. A previous contractor, we had received 6 estimates from different roofers, suggested we use a cricket by our chimney because we had a massive leak in the roof. I asked one of the Ariat workers if they thought it would be necessary and should I speak to someone at the company regarding a cricket. He listened to me, nodded, and said "ok". The following day they said all finished for the entire job and told us the project manager would come by for final inspection. I thanked them, was curious about the chimney, and took a look. They used extra metal sheets all along the base of the chimney and placed another smaller sheet coming down onto it so water would not get behind the first sheet. Everything was sealed tight. We have an impregnable sheet of metal extending up the chimney and under the tile instead of the normal flashing. It is above and beyond the call of duty and those guys never bragged about it or even drew attention to it. They listened to the problem, fixed it, and then finished the roof without a second thought. These are the kinds of people working at Ariat Roofing. They are completely so much work that nothing is a problem to them and they do not need to brag about anything. Their finished work is all the proof they need of how exceptional their craftsmanship is and they are always finishing work somewhere everyday. From Jeff the Estimator to Eric the Project Manager and every one of the 4 incredibly hard working guys who formed the crew that put the roof on our house, everyone was an authentic, diligent, great human being to meet. Their cleanup was amazing even though they had worked all day and the temperature was 107 degrees on the ground. This has been some of the best money we have ever spent. Their price was also better than most other roofers we spoke to as well. Ariat Roofing did more work (removing the underlayment, etc.), with better techniques (sealant on the joints, etc.) , faster (finished right on schedule a full two days before others said they could), and for less money. I saw my neighbor having his roof replaced, and the crew was doing a spectacular job of it. They were done in a day and a half. My neighbor is a contractor, and gave his recommendation strongly. When I called them, they were quick in getting an estimator out, and the bid was very acceptable. They gave us options of ways to have it done, and included it all in the estimate. They were also one of the lowest estimates, as much as $6000 less than the high estimate. From the beginning and throughout the process, the installers were professional, and policed after themselves beyond what I would have expected. The workers communicated with us and asked about our needs, and they addressed them. Jeff was our contact person, and kept us up to date as the work was done. I was impressed by the entire process. I apologize for only 5 stars, I couldn't go any higher. If you want quality work at an affordable price I highly recommend this company. I got scammed by someone and got stuck with a bad roof. I found this company through the Next Door app. I called them, they came out and did an inspection and said the other guy did everything wrong! (My painter told me about the problems he saw while on the roof painting my chimney). I received an estimate for a brand new roof the next day. In less than a week I have a new roof that won't leak! Everyone I was in contact with was excellent. The young men that replaced my roof were so fast and efficient. My roof was done in one day. Highly impressed with the integrity and honesty of this company. Called after the huge rain - right before the pandemic hit, and they were slammed with calls from people with the same problem as me. Leaks and water problems from the heavy rains. After talking with the owner, I scheduled them to come out and do an appraisal. They did, and told me that they believe the problem is coming from the stucco on the side of the outer wall - right by the roof. Because it was not something they do, they refereed me to someone who does a different type of work on these type of flat roofs and for this particular type of problem. Long story short, they were honest, super respectful, polite, and did not try and charge me unnecessary money. If I have a roof problem again in the Vegas valley, THIS is who I will call. The guys from Ariat came and worked like a well oiled machine for 6 to 8 hours. I never saw them stop to eat or take a coffee break. From my perspective the guys did a great job. That excellent grade is completely deserved. Beginning with the genuinely friendly office staff, the punctuality and demeanor of the estimator, the speed of receipt of the bid and the conversation with the owner, those high grades are understandable. The young man who evaluated the work was the only one of all the companies to come out that addressed the pigeon problem. We contacted Jay Gray with Ariat Roofing to replace the whole roof and patio cover on a rental home we have. A few years ago he fixed our roof, my mothers roof and replaced a friend of mines whole roof on her mothers house. The crew arrived early and started right away. They cleaned up after themselves and installed a beautiful new roof and patio cover that no longer leaks and will not pull apart in the wind. We are very happy with the work and our new roof and we know it does not leak cause we have gotten some rain lately. You cannot go wrong calling Ariat! Ok, so I'm a little anal and got 8 estimates for my new roof. Ariat was not the absolute cheapest but were #3 on the list. Being careful on my quotes I decided that I would only consider the companies who would do work the way I wanted it done, not them!! Ariat explained the process to me completely and performed their work flawless ness, heck they even threw in a couple of freebies time of completion done as they said, had a couple weeks notice for start date, on time and worked admirably completion as stated. They re-felted my entire 36 year old tile roof, replaced all the sheet metal in the valleys and around the pipes and vents. Installed a metal drip edge all around the house (Original roof had none). Replaced some rotted plywood and installed all new dimensional asphalt shingles under and around rooftop Central AC unit. A lot of extra details were taken care of. They arrived when they told me they would and Vincent and the two other men were professional and hard working from start to finish. Job well done ! read more
