We came here on a whim without a reservation looking to get a couples massage. They were very accommodating and gave us an open 30 minute time slot they had available. I went to Aria Spa and enjoyed the Jasmine Package for couples. It was EXCELLENT! The spa services and customer service were both great. The facilities were clean. We both loved the amenities and services and both left feeling rejuvenated. We would definitely go back. The only thing that I feel can be improved is they need to invest in better towels and robes. They were not fluffy and had a kind of cheapish feel to them. You can bring your own towels but because you will most likely use more than one towel if you are having multiple services done, you want to be able to use the towels at the facility. Because of the ambiance of this spa they should definitely have nice, white, plush, fluffy towels and robes available for use. Other than that, this spa is AWESOME! read more

My husband and I went for a massage which ended up being a couples massage (we didn't want that) and the "masseuses" took multiple phone calls during the massage - not relaxing at all. They questioned and got aggressive on our 20% tip! On top of that, they told my husband to eat more soup and vegetables (again I was there and heard it - very much implied he is FAT- which he is not). I am not usually inclined to write reviews, but this experience was so awful. Let me first state that the staff was pleasant. That is where the positive experience ends. First of all, the massage was torture. Myself and my girlfriend wanted a couples massage, but instead we were yanked, pulled, and pulverized and smacked during a rushed, painful, awful "massage." To add insult to injury, the "massage" was incredibly violating. Undergarments were removed by the masseuses without our permission, and my girlfriend and I felt extremely uncomfortable. None of this was necessary or reasonable. Also, whilst we were vulnerably exposed, the doors went left open as people came in and out. This is not only unprofessional, but extremely violating and frightening. We are both in incredible pain today. Not the good sore pain after a massage-actual agony. We have had countless massages over the years ranging from Swedish to deep tissue and more-this massage was absolutely atrocious. I cannot echo enough the experiences of others on here. Additionally, the "pool"/hot tub area was grotesque. The water was filled with huge clumps of hair. As you can imagine, this was not a relief after an awful massage. Sadly, this was a completely waste of hundreds of dollars. read more

Nice facility upon arrival. The two ladies doing our couples massage kept talking throughout it. The massage itself wasn't that enjoyable, and I doubt the woman was a licensed massage therapist. The worst part is the unprofessional and rude handling of tips at the end of your visit. If your tips aren't the suggested 30% they have posted, they demand you pay more! My cousin and I are going to watch our cards the next few days to make sure they don't tack on additional tip. Will never come back here after this experience. read more

Since it was our first time we just wanted to inquire about the additional services but staff was not interested in providing or clarifying details except how much it cost. I would definitely advise against this business as everything went wrong from inception. To begin, they opened late and I made a comment which didn't fly well with the woman at the counter. The massage was OK but my partner kept saying that she was uncomfortable and they actually Giggled and said something in another language then laughed and finally did not adjust the pressure. I will have to say the place is clean but it is ridiculously small. What they call a pool is about the size of a kiddie pool. We did come in by a groupon and after our services were complete they made sure to ask for a 20% tip. I did not give a 20% tip and gave a 10% to reflect how unhappy I was and was then called out on it. The woman said that the minimum to tip is 20% and asked me for more money. My major qualm about this is that if you do not want to offer a groupon and cannot afford to do so, then you need to adjust accordingly. I will not go back to this place and have been soured by this experience. read more

Very friendly staff. All new and extremely clean. They have a locker room for men and women. Each containing a pool, sauna and steam room, with showers and locker rooms. The waiting area is very modern and comfortable, with handful of seating and massaging chairs. Plus a juice bar area. They offer what most spas offer, and at a very competative price. read more

My husband and I went to Aria for the first time last Saturday for a couple's deep-tissue massage. It was a wonderful experience and one to which we will return in the future. Our masseuses (mine, male, my husband's, female) were attentive to our comfort levels and performed the massages in a tranquil atmosphere. The massage and my face lifting massage was wonderful. Aria is very clean and staff were nice. Karen is amazing and all of the tension in my shoulder and neck area disappeared. I had fallen hurting my shoulder a year ago and this by far has been the best massage I've had in awhile. The facial massage was new for me and I would recommend it on your visit. Total ladies day of relaxation and detox was just what we needed. Clean hot towels, softly playing music, a great sauna and the salt room with heated salt bars and stones is a must try. Honestly, it was the worst massage i have ever had in my life. Im supposed to be relaxed during aromatherapy but instead, i was on edge and in pain. It was more of a chiropractor appointment then massage. I kept asking the man to please go easier on me im not that big and he kept going full force. I bought a groupon for 2 and arrived around 10 AM. The outside sign says open at 9 but the website say 9:30. When we walked in, they immediately made us feel awkward by addressing how early we were. We asked for 2 massage services and filled out a form showing areas where not to massage for pain etc. I'm not sure what's the point of these forms because my lady was terrible! I asked her 3 times to please go a little softer but she never did. I am in pain right now, PAIN, because of this place. The facilities are not clean and very dark so you can't see the mold and grime. The worst part is when we tipped they said it wasn't enough and REFUSED to give us back out car keys until we gave more money. It was a really upsetting experience and I hope no one else makes the mistake of wasting their time and money here. Staff is fake and laughs and talks about you behind your back. The place is veryyy small and they will nickel and dime you for pretty much everything. read more

What a fantastic find! Went early on Sunday morning. For the majority of our time there we had the place to ourselves! My facial with Karen was wonderful. She gave me so much information on how to keep my face from drying out! So knowledgable and helpful! Had the jacuzzi to myself for a good half hour which was just amazing. I went there today for a couples massage, and it was amazing. I enjoyed the sauna, jacuzzi, and the massage. However, when I was giving my tip the lady at the front desk (possible manager) insisted that I gave more money. I felt very uncomfortable, and she kept on staring me up and down, and continuously counting the money until I gave more money. Let me remind you that you do not have to give a tip at all, and you have the right to tip any amount in your preference. I felt like this was very unprofessional and I will not be going there again. Had a great time at aria spa, I found that most of the "bad reviews" were terribly inaccurate. The facility was beautiful and very clean. Upon arrival Dan I believe his name was, came and helped me perfect English, probably better than most of you people complaining. He explained everything and set me up with an hour massage with Lisa. Gave me a quick tour of the place, locker room and spa area and was very helpful. Before I go into the massage I will say, I preferred this place already over king spa and island spa. It was peaceful and relaxing from start to finish. Lisa, my masseuse was great she confirmed with me we were doing deep tissue and got right to it. She left the room once in the beginning to get a towel that's it. She checked on me during the massage asking if the pressure was ok and gave a great massage. I didn't check the time exactly when we started but it certainly seemed like the full hour and she did a great job. After the massage I relaxed a little bit more before heading out..... no one hounded me or was rude about a tip. Now personally I see 30 percent as no issue for an hour massage, I base this on the service provided, they're skilled workers so i believe they deserve a higher tip percentage than a table server. I'm giving it 2 stars for purely because the facility itself is very nice and they decorated it beautifully. I would give it just 1 star if it was from my experience. Something is just off here. 1. I'm not sure they truly are certified in massage. Though they list a few options, they didn't really ask what we wanted. We just got a massage. And it was a very strange massage. I'll just leave it there. 2. It's just plain weird the way they conduct their business. When checking in you have to pay for your services up front. I have never really had to do that before I had a treatment at a "spa". Then when asked about how to tip - she said wait and pay cash - so you can see if you like it. At first I liked that I was at least given that option. 3. The price of the massage was $50. This is an introductory rate that they are having because they are new and trying to get customers. I did not come in there with a coupon. So to me $50 is the price of the massage. 4. After we got ourselves together to leave. I went up and tipped my massage therapist $13. This is 26% of the treatment. Again this is the price I was told. I was not told I was getting a deal. The woman at the front. Opened my money and counted it. (I have never in all of my years going to spas had this happen) she they snarled at me and said No - this is too low. Minimum tip is $15. Now to me 30% on a 1 hour massage is for exceptional service. I give 25% when I am at the Fountain or the Spa at Short Hills, when I have had a day of beauty and have been there for hours and in love with my treatment. And as far as I am concerned if gratuity was mandatory you should be told that in the beginning when you have to weirdly pay in advance. I actually thought I was being nice giving 26% because I didn't even like my massage. BUT I pride myself on not being a bad tipper. Again - its just weird there. Being mortified and scolded for not tipping to their standards is embarrassing and mortifying. Again we were the only people there. I am obviously never going back. I will spend the extra money and go to a legitimate place. read more

The inside is absolutely beautiful. It is really nice inside but that is really the only positive thing I can say about this place, that and the unlimited time on the massage chairs. That's pretty cool. But they were so disorganized, we didn't get our services not even close to on time and it wasn't even busy. We ended up getting out 45 mins later then we should have been. I could understand if it was busy since our appts were made earlier in the day but it was just a little ridiculous to have to wait that long. The service we also got was not even that good. We ended up getting a quick facial and I actually ended up getting more acne by the the time it was night fall. The people working on us were also talking a lot ..not really making it enjoyable since we were there to relax. Maybe we just went on a bad day or something but seeing some of these other reviews I don't believe so. I think they definitely have some things to work on, I'd maybe consider trying this place again in the future if they can work out the kinks. read more

this place is fantastic. everything is brand new and spotless. the staff are sweet and want to impress customers. because it wasn't busy, i was shown around the place before going to the massage room. i got a deep tissue massage, and while it's not for the lighthearted (no, seriously), it was perfect for me. i was encouraged to spend all the time i wanted in the locker room area after, and they even let me use the massage chairs in the lobby (there's a whole slew of them!) afterwards for as long as i wanted. they're accommodating and attentive. the pictures are as shown. the locker room area has a toilet, clean slippers, sinks, a private room for body scrubs (massage chair, water hose, drain, and all!), a hot dunking pool, small towels, open showers, a dry sauna room, and a wet sauna room. the drill for massages: they give you an outfit of a t-shirt and shorts that go past your knees, a key for your assigned locker, and send you on your way to the gender-specific locker room to change. you change (no private rooms for changing, though you could use the toilet room to do that i suppose), stick your stuff in the locker, grab their slippers, and walk back out and across the hall (short walk) to the massage room. while they're not super talkative/instructive, it's a pretty straightforward place, and they're quite nice enough. you really can't beat the quality for the intro price they're offering (60 for a 60-minute massage and unlimited time in a sauna in a brand new facility is pretty awesome). read more

Went to the place with my wife after a round of golf, thinking it'd be a good way to unwind after digging some dirt with golf clubs. The place, opened just a few months ago, was very clean and the staff was very nice. We got three massages in all, deep-tissue and body scrub, which were all very satisfactory with the staff catering to our massage strength requests. The waiting area was very nice with great massage chairs and the teas were very tasty. We are definitely coming back for more. read more

I loved most everything about this place -- the design is incredible and my massage was good -- but how can I give it anything above one star when they fail to keep it clean? I don't even think they change the sheets on the massage table in between massages (not until I pointed out hairs on the sheet). The locker room had dust bunnies and the salt room (so pretty) had ants and the jacuzzi wasn't kept hot enough for me to consider sanitary, did not go beyond my big toe. I also found the reception a bit, I don't know, weird, like you'd think it was their first week open instead of being a smooth routine; they somehow seemed "surprised" and improvising. I can't believe that any owner would be willing to invest so much money in what seems to be such a great vision for a spa business and such beautiful aesthetics, and then not make sure the day-to-day management and execution is there?
