THE BIG: Located in Dundee, right off the 99W strip. Large space that can hosts big gatherings. Tons of indoor and outdoor space. Plenty of space in the parking lot (from a Friday afternoon visit). THE BLACK AND WHITE: The wife and I came here and surprisingly it wasn't too busy. Granted it was also Friday afternoon but we sat inside because it was a little hot outside. We got a flight of the choice bubblies and were treated to a brut rose, pinot noir, charddonay, an extended tirage brut and a brut. The extended tirage was so delicious. Super toasty and fun. Apparently the Obama administration would order the sparkling wine here for all of their presidential dinners. It was showcased in the backroom. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Ultimately a wine tasting here was around $48, however I felt like we got the royal treatment with how many wines we got to taste. Definitely a must if you're a bubbly wine drinker like myself.

My friends and I spent a day checking out different wineries in Dundee area. Argyle was our first stop. There were different vendors outside offering samples, such as Blue Star donuts. My friends enjoyed them, I didn't try any. Also a food truck from Trellis. I checked out what they offered in case I came back in the future. One of my friends got a membership on this day, so I'm sure I'll be back! The interior was beautifully decorated. I had fun taking pictures. There's even a cat named Oreo that's taken up residence here. It was such a a beautiful day, we sat outside. We were welcomed with a tasting of a rosé (?). Not sure, wine is not my forté. My friends liked it, I was just ok with it. I asked if they had a dessert wine, I like sweet. They did, and it was really good. I settled for a glass, while 2 of my friends did a tasting. One friend was our designated driver, and he was offered complimentary N/A drink. He got iced tea. Our Wine Steward, Darren was pleasant and informative. He answered questions and was fun to talk to. My friends enjoyed their tasting and got bottles of wine. One friend signed up for a membership. I got a bottle of Minus Five Riesling. It was on the sweet side, but not overly sweet. It was perfect! What a perfect start for our winery tour!

We stopped by Argyle winery for a tasting and we all really enjoyed ourselves and the wine. The atmosphere was lovely and I enjoyed hearing about the history of the different vineyards as we made our way through the wine tastings. The pantry snacks they had were scrumptious and went very well with the wine and our server was great at helping us buy bottles at the end of the tasting (and get them packaged appropriately for air travel)! I would certainly come again if I were in the area!

Argyle is a MUST for premium sparking wines. My husband and I came on a Friday afternoon without a reservation. They have seating outdoors and indoors, perfect for any weather. We shared a flight and WOW all were exquisite. Each had its own flavor profile and level of bubbles. My favorite was the extended storage. Service was top notch and we had a great time learning about the winery. Highly recommend while you're in Willamette.

Fan of Argyle from the grocery store and it was on the Willamette list to visit. We visited midweek to avoid the crowds but apparently lack of people meant lack of attentiveness. Beautiful venue ~ expansive patio grounds, dog friendly, tall ceilings filled with webs. Service ~ so pretentious for no reason. We were a small table compared to a couple larger groups but there was no engagement effort from the server to share with us about the winery. We learn more about Argyle from our phones than visiting here in person. Pours were weak as were the bubbles with their sparkling. Spent too much for poor service and overall a sour experience. Prices much higher here at the tasting room than at the grocery. Much higher. Why?

This is a tasting room. Located in the town of Dundee. We stopped by after visiting red hills market for lunch. They have inside and outside seating. They offer tastings or you can get a bottle. They are dog friendly in their patio. Children also have a play area. I tried one of their Pinot noirs. I don't remember the name, but it was sold by the glass. It was pretty smooth. The pour was a decent size. From my understanding, they are known for their Bubbly.

Yet another AMAZING experience at Argyle! This is a "can't miss" in your Oregon wine tasting travels. Both visceral, as well as intellectual, discover what your palate so desires. Ask for Lisa as her knowledge and understanding helps guide you along this path of joy! From the complimentary "welcome" tasting, to the flight selection (and food truck out front) nirvana can be found at Argyle!

I was already familiar with Argyle's Pinot Noir so I decided to book an 11:00 am tasting of their highly regarded sparkling wines. I was a little concerned we might be missing out on a key part of the experience by stopping at an in-town tasting room right on the main highway in Dundee instead of the usual vineyard visit, but I was quickly won over as soon as I entered their beautifully landscaped grounds. (Even their parking area is beautiful!) We were greeted at the front door with a complimentary glass of sparkling brut rosé and offered a choice of indoor or outdoor seating. It was a perfect day to sit outdoors and enjoy their beautiful and relaxing covered terrace and gardens. Since it was the first tasting of the day, there were not too many other people yet and it was very quiet and serene. My tasting guide welcomed us right away but encouraged us to leisurely finish the rosé while he brought the first two wines-- two of their Blanc de Blancs, a 2017 and a 2020. Both were perfectly chilled and equally tasty. The gentleman who guided the tasting naturally gave us a lot of background on the history and differences between the Spirit Hill (Eola-Amity Hills) and the Knudsen Vineyards (Dundee Hills), but he was also very personable and engaged us in a wide variety of topics which was a pleasant surprise from the usual perfunctory tasting spiel. The second pair of sparkling wines include a Blanc de Noirs also from Spirit Hill and a Pinot Meunier from Knudsen. This is where the tasting got interesting. Now I could tell how distinct all four of these wines were from each other. As lunchtime approached someone stopped by the table with a menu and asked if we would like to order something from Trellis, the wood-fired food trailer there on site. We were already planning on going across the road to Red Hills Kitchen for lunch, but I later wished we had stayed and enjoyed something from Trellis. Their menu was very interesting and the food smelled great! I don't know how you could beat this for a tasting experience in the Willamette Valley. Especially if you have already roamed around the hills to see all the beautiful vineyards and might be short on time. Argyle's Dundee tasting room offers not only convenience, but they also have created one of the most architecturally interesting modern spaces both indoors and out. And besides the wine being great, everyone there was genuinely friendly and welcoming-- all in all it was the perfect vibe for a tasting experience. I'd rate this a must visit on your trip to the Willamette Valley and a bargain at $45!

Really enjoyed Argyle on our trip out to the Portland area! The tasting room is right off the main road but you can't even tell. Its a nice spot with a lot of care put into it, just as the wines have a lot of care put into them. We had a great time with awesome service and some great wines. There are some seriously spectacular bubbles at this place. We loved it so much we blew through all of our bottles and had to order more for the holidays! If you're in the area, make sure Argyle is on the list!!

To start off my husband's birthday, and as part of our Willamette Valley tastings, we began with one of the most amazing sparkling places - Argyle! As we walked in, we were impressed with the large space for a food truck as well as plenty of outside seating for people to enjoy. Walking in, we were greeted and given a pour of a rose bubbly to begin. After being seated, our wine server Pluto began our tastings. From on the first sip to the final glass, Argyle shined!! Pluto added to this with her fabulous personality and ability to explain the various bubbles and things we were enjoying, as well as making a connection with us about teaching and her future career. We left Argyle as wine club members, knowing we had joined a club with amazing wines created by female winemakers. We even went back another day so we could enjoy everything that is Argyle Winery!!

Great selection of wine

It is beautiful walking in. Lots of places for fun photo ops. There's indoor and outdoor seating available, indoor is air conditioned so it's great for the hot days. We chose to sit outside before the afternoon heat. The tables and chairs are comfy. The menu is simple. They have a charcuterie board available to snack on and a variety of tasty wines to sip on. I got a flight with reds and whites and we of course ordered the charcuterie. In the picture it doesn't show the crackers but it definitely has crackers and some toasted pecans. I have no complaints on my wine. I love reds especially and everything they gave me today, i was happy with. I even fell in love with the glass of nuthouse Chardonnay. Yum! The service is great, friendly and attentive. We didn't feel rushed, it was a very relaxed atmosphere. All in all, a great wine tasting experience. I will definitely be returning.

We had a great time here, and while most the family does not drink a lot of wine, there was something for everyone here. The owner, David, greeted us as we walked in and sat us at the large table in this small tasting room. He sat with us for most of the tasting, describing the wines in detail, telling us the history, describing how the land around Oregon varies and how it impacts the wine. It was really interesting and he so helpful and open to answering all of our questions. You can tell how knowledgeable and passionate he is about his wines and he made our experience really unique. The wines themselves were great, and we left purchasing 2 bottles of the 5 wines we tried. While they have a variety of wines, their white wines, especially the Sauvignon Blanc and the Pinot Blanc, were phenomenal and I highly recommend. The tastings are really reasonably priced at $25 and their bottles were also well priced. The tasting room itself is very laid back and casual. It is decorated and feels as if you are just sitting in a relatives living room enjoying a glass of wine, so if you are looking for the instagram shot of a glass of wine over a vineyard during a sunset, this is not the place, but if you enjoy kicking back and enjoying solid wine in a more laid back setting with folks who care about their wines, then look no further!

This winery recently opened in the first floor of the Dundee hotel. It's closer to 99W so when you come in from the parking lot, you will pass a couple other wineries. This is one of five wineries and a restaurant that is in the first floor of the Dundee hotel. Our server was named Kalina, and she was so nice and personable. She had recently come back from working in a winery in Australia. I was impressed with her knowledge of wine, but she explained that she started working in wineries back when she was just 15 helping with events/weddings at a family friend's winery. She had worked at several wineries even though she was just in her twenties. The winery itself also had lots of charm and was very calming with the soft pink furnishings and relaxing sofa and chairs. The design was on point and chic. We enjoyed all the wines. Kalina even gave us a small bowl of gourmet popcorn to compliment some of the wines. I definitely will come back to this spot for another tasting or a glass of wine. Our server also said that on the third Thursday of every month they do complimentary pours and have either live music or artists at the various wineries in the building as part of a collaborative art walk within Dundee. Currently the wine tastings are $30 per person, but if you are a guest at the hotel they have a BOGO special. This winery is definitely a special spot to check out if you are planning a day trip to Oregon wine country. This wine tasting was definitely a highlight of my summer. Reservations and recommended, but definitely not required - and the experience was truly lovely.
