Whoa, this place is a gem! We really appreciate Purple Hands Winery and Urban Tasting Room. In addition to their lovely wine tasting room, their wines are delicious and something I'm not afraid to give to my friends who appreciate great wines. I would highly recommend Purple Hands Winery to my friends and family.

We have been members of Purple Hand's Winery for several years. It has been a long time since we visited in person. The winery and tasting room are located on the main drag of Dundee Oregon. We didn't have reservations and they were at their limit for the small tasting room, but they were happy to serve us outdoors. We preferred this arrangement since we were accompanied by our 11 month old Golden Doodle. We were offered 5 different tastings of Pinot Noirs. The winery neither fines or filters their wines. Let me just say the owner/winemaker Cody Wright makes really good wines. We got our club shipment delivered to our house just a few days before we left for our trip. Despite a shipment waiting at home, we bought a few more bottles.

I drove by the new tasting room everyday, and when they opened, we had to check it out! The building itself looks awesome! And then there is the name... Purple Hands.... so intriguing! When I learned that Cody, the winemaker, is son of Ken Wright, I knew this had to be some great Pinot! When you grow up in this industry and learn the trade, naturally great things will come of it! We tasted with Jordan and signed up for the club. At the time all they had were Pinot's which we love. At the recent club pick up party , we tasted their Chardonnay. Like a lot of Oregon chards, it's light and minerally, not buttery. But the price point on this was a bit high for me. I can't swallow $75 for an Oregon Chard! I was also bummed when we were at the party, we talked with Cody's wife, and she told us about their Rose! I love Rose!!! We were ready to purchase a few bottles, but only to find out they did not have it at the tasting room. It's in off site wine storage, so we can only order this on line. Between this issue, and not receiving half the emails for club offerings/news... is the reason for only 4 stars. The wines are really great, but I think there are still a few bumps they are working out. We almost missed the pick up party due to the communication error :(

Very friendly people at this winery. Came here on the weekend to try some wines and had a small picnic. The tasting room is very cute. Enjoyed all their wines. We did the tasting and then bought a bottle to drink outside with our lunch. There is a cute picnic area just outside the tasting room. Will definitely be back. Only thing that was weird were the prices of the wine were more than listed on the website. Not sure why. Still really enjoyed our time here. Also bought a bottle to take home.

One of my favorite wines! Came here for the first time with my family and had an incredible experience. We arrived around 11:15am and had the while tasting room to ourselves. Jordan was an excellent host and provided an in-depth tasting experience for us all. Their wines were unique and full of flavor...plus they were all very nicely priced! Needless to say we left as club members and consider this winery to be among our favorites in the valley!

A lovely experience. The tasting room is a little off the beaten path, but the wines are well worth the trip. Mary, the tasting room manager was warm and friendly. Being a bit of a novice in tasting but knowing what I like, I soaked in all the knowledge she willingly shared. My favorite was a 2011 Stoller Vineyard pinot noir. This winery is marked for return.

We did have luck walking in, but we came right when they opened on a Saturday and it was getting pretty busy when we left. We were greeted with a lovely welcome pour of sparkling. One person in our group did a flight, one a glass, and then two of us shared a flight. They were more than happy to let us split! I would say a flight is probably a little more than a glass, so the price is a little steep, but you do get to try a wonderful variety and some pricier options you may have not tried otherwise. The bathrooms are also lovely, which is a plus. They have custom artwork from one of their employees and it is gorgeous. The tasting room and staff are top notch, as you'd expect. They also had a sweet cat wandering the grounds which was so cute and really added some whimsy to the experience.

She gave us advice on wines, talked about the area, talked about when she first visited before moving and what she'd recommend we do later in the evening. She gave us an extra tasting as well of something that I don't think was even on the menu. Really appreciated everything she did and she made Argyle worthwhile. The wines were good but I wasn't blown away by anything. It was a broad selection which meant they definitely had something for everyone but it did feel a little bit more corporate than some of the other local places. I would return, we had a great time. Super convenient location, cool vibes.

We had a great time here, and while most the family does not drink a lot of wine, there was something for everyone here. The owner, David, greeted us as we walked in and sat us at the large table in this small tasting room. He sat with us for most of the tasting, describing the wines in detail, telling us the history, describing how the land around Oregon varies and how it impacts the wine. It was really interesting and he so helpful and open to answering all of our questions. You can tell how knowledgeable and passionate he is about his wines and he made our experience really unique. The wines themselves were great, and we left purchasing 2 bottles of the 5 wines we tried. While they have a variety of wines, their white wines, especially the Sauvignon Blanc and the Pinot Blanc, were phenomenal and I highly recommend. The tastings are really reasonably priced at $25 and their bottles were also well priced. The tasting room itself is very laid back and casual. It is decorated and feels as if you are just sitting in a relatives living room enjoying a glass of wine, so if you are looking for the instagram shot of a glass of wine over a vineyard during a sunset, this is not the place, but if you enjoy kicking back and enjoying solid wine in a more laid back setting with folks who care about their wines, then look no further!

This winery recently opened in the first floor of the Dundee hotel. It's closer to 99W so when you come in from the parking lot, you will pass a couple other wineries. This is one of five wineries and a restaurant that is in the first floor of the Dundee hotel. Our server was named Kalina, and she was so nice and personable. She had recently come back from working in a winery in Australia. I was impressed with her knowledge of wine, but she explained that she started working in wineries back when she was just 15 helping with events/weddings at a family friend's winery. She had worked at several wineries even though she was just in her twenties. The winery itself also had lots of charm and was very calming with the soft pink furnishings and relaxing sofa and chairs. The design was on point and chic. We enjoyed all the wines. Kalina even gave us a small bowl of gourmet popcorn to compliment some of the wines. I definitely will come back to this spot for another tasting or a glass of wine. Our server also said that on the third Thursday of every month they do complimentary pours and have either live music or artists at the various wineries in the building as part of a collaborative art walk within Dundee. Currently the wine tastings are $30 per person, but if you are a guest at the hotel they have a BOGO special. This winery is definitely a special spot to check out if you are planning a day trip to Oregon wine country. This wine tasting was definitely a highlight of my summer. Reservations and recommended, but definitely not required - and the experience was truly lovely.
