But thanks to my husband for finding Dr. Tatarin; he completely changed my outlook. From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and warm. Dr. Tatarin was professional, patient, and explained every step in a way that made me feel calm and informed. The anesthesia process was surprisingly smooth, I didn't feel anything! For the first time in my life, I'm actually looking forward to my next dental appointment. Thank you, Dr. Tatarin and team, for making something I used to dread into something I now feel confident about.

I had a cavity filled and front tooth bonded at Dr. Tatarin's practice, but I have since had…read moreproblems with both. The front tooth was not bonded correctly the first time, so I had to go back to get it fixed. Even then, it still looked and felt a bit 'off' and within six months, the front of the tooth started to become rough again and now, less than a year later, two new little chips have already formed in it, so I need to get it bonded once again. Dr. Tatarin told me that bonding front teeth is difficult, but I have had this tooth bonded about every 5 years for the past 35 years or so, and no dentist has ever had a problem bonding it. And the bonding usually lasts about five years. What's more, Dr. Tatarin left a molar that needed a filling rough on the outside. None of my other teeth or fillings are rough. What's more, food constantly gets trapped in that tooth, and I had gone in specifically to get that problem taken care of. It's frustrating. I now have to find a new dentist and pay out-of-pocket to get the work done all over again. I'm thankful that Dr Tatarin tried to fix my front tooth, but it just wasn't done right. Maybe he just needs a bit more experience, but in the meantime, I just wanted to share mine.

The staff is fantastic, it seems they all have great chemistry and rapport with one another. It is a family practice, and they definitely make it feel that way. Dr. Nicolosi and her staff work tirelessly until each patient is satisfied with their treatment, and always creates her treatment plans in a way that is affordable and practical. The hygienist has years of experience and is very knowledgeable, she also has a gift for story telling so the cleanings are always more fun to sit through. I will be going to her for all dental work and cleanings from now on!

I called to make an appointment with Tori and although she was very efficient the phone appointment process is a bit laborious. Despite the amount of time I spent on the phone providing information, the day I arrived at my appointment determination whether I could have x-rays still had not been made. I came close to the lunch hour and it appeared she may not have been completely finished with hers; she continued to eat her lunch or at least to chew it at the front desk. I have worked in the medical field for many years and this is probably one of my top pet peeves for employees. I'd rather you come back from lunch a little late and have someone cover for you while you finish it or have better time management with your lunch then to eat it at the front desk. The visit itself went very well. The hygienist was EXTREMELY efficient and a bit more talkative than my last hygienist but it helped take my mind off the exam. She was quite kind to use a numbing agent on my very sensitive teeth before the cleaning which made all the difference in the world! Dr. Nicolosi seems very pleasant and after a quick check said everything looked good. It's obvious that the hygienist and she have been working together for a while; they have a good rapport and it was an overall pleasant experience. I am not sure anyone can call a visit to the dentist "enjoyable" but they were able to get my teeth cleaned and a quick check by the doctor in a little over an hour. Made my first appointment yesterday by phone, and their front desk lady was extremely polite and very helpful; she took my insurance information and was able to schedule an appointment on the same day! When I got there, I was promptly assisted and didn't have to wait (like all practices I've been), got X-rays done really quickly and no pain at all. Then Dr. Morris came by, analyzed all X-rays double checked and explained what has to be done. I'm literally a chicken when it comes to dentistry, but here, I felt comfortable and Dr. Morris made sure I was 100% confident about all procedures. My search is over!

But seriously, the environment here is just that comfortable. Something that really stood out to me was the organization of the office staff. They've got it together and go out of the way to make the process easy for you. As an example, I had some issues with one of my dental insurance carriers in filing reimbursement paperwork. Dr. Morris's staff pursued them diligently - long after I had simply forgotten about it - and made sure our claims were paid. This was after visiting my dentist in NC for years with no cavities. The previous dentist did a poor job on 1 crown and subsequent root canal. Dr Jones was recommended by my son's dentist. She looked and said we could hold off on the rest of the crowns but we had to get that botched root canal fixed! She referred me to an endodontist to correct. She and her team take time to get to know patients and explain what they are doing. Highly recommended!

Holly Dental - Dr. Nielson Review…read more I hate leaving bad reviews, but my experience at Holly Dental has been nothing short of a nightmare. Three weeks ago, I had two fillings done--one on the front bottom right and another in the back bottom right. As soon as the Novocaine wore off, I was in severe pain, which was completely unexpected since I've had many fillings in the past without any issues. For three days, I was popping ibuprofen every eight hours just to manage the pain. It was unbearable! I finally went back to Dr. Nielson, who told me I had a gum infection from the numbing shot and prescribed antibiotics. However, even after finishing the antibiotics, the pain persisted. Dr. Nielson then referred me to an endodontist to rule out the need for a root canal. Thankfully, all the tests came back negative, so no root canal was necessary. But here I am, still dealing with pain in my right ear and jaw, which sometimes radiates down my neck. To make matters worse, the area behind my right bottom teeth is swollen every morning. I've attached a picture taken just one week after the fillings, showing clear damage to my gums. I expected a routine dental procedure to be just that--routine. Instead, I've been left in constant discomfort and frustration. I can't recommend Holly Dental based on my experience. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.
