After our exams, we were required to schedule a separate second visit just to review our results--which is where the experience really went downhill. ​During that follow-up, it felt less like a medical office and more like a high-pressure used car lot. The practice presented both of us with treatment plans recommending thousands of dollars in dental work. We found this suspicious given that we had seen our previous dentist only six months prior with no major issues flagged. ​Once we received their recommended treatment plans in writing, we sought a second opinion from another dentist. As it turns out, none of the proposed work was actually necessary. We understand that clinical philosophies can vary from dentist to dentist, but the aggressive hard sell and excessive treatment recommendations made us extremely uncomfortable. Would not recommend.

Both my daughter and I were given paperwork about what we would owe before we had the procedures done. They claim they got the estimates directly from our insurance. If so, how can they be wrong on what insurance will pay? I have paid my portion for what I was quoted and they now say I owe more. This is a scam. Insurance pays the negotiated fee, if this dentist wants more than the negotiated fee then don't take my insurance. My daughter was charged double what she was quoted! The office staff was rude and condescending when questioned about the additional billing. Their billing incompetence to get insurance estimates correct should not be the patients responsibility. This difference should be a write-off to the dentist and a wake up call to get staff that can get the insurance quotes correct the first time.

I have THE BEST hygienist I could possibly imagine now. Amy takes her time, connects with me emotionally, senses when I'm feeling anxious and stops. On my first appointment, I had the sedation options explained to me and I started with laughing gas, though if needed, I could take prescription meds or they will even put you out under anesthesia to do your dental work. For me, I use the gas, lay under a comfy blanket with headphones and DirecTV on. It's a great environment and so very loving. I've progressed to not obsessing about my appointments, I'm able to sleep the night before and I don't cry anymore. I love Meadows so much that I referred my husband, who doesn't have a problem getting his teeth cleaned here. He didn't like his former dentist and tried Meadows (again- LOVE Amy!) and saw what I meant. We do not live close to Meadows- I'm up by the airport and it's in HR, but I will drive wherever for this type of care.

After checking once more, they apologized and admitted that their system had incorrect information. This experience was frustrating and made me question how accurately membership records are managed. Based on my experience, I recommend double-checking your membership details if you decide to purchase a plan from them.
