This location offers Mexican ice cream and I've tried before and it was really good. They have a bunch of flavors. They also offer pasties and cakes for sale. I've never eaten in but just usually call in my order. The place is generally busy and that was the case that evening. This time I decided to get steak nachos and they were decent. I was told my order would take 5-10 minutes but it ended up taking about 25 minutes. They came with guacamole, sour cream, cheese, refried beans, meat of choice, and pico de gallo. The steak was a bit dry and I was told there would be more for the price but it wasn't a mound as described lol. I probably won't get them again but it was worth a try.

I'm sure they could see how excited I was to be there . It felt like what I would imagine walking into a local restaurant in Mexico would feel like. I ordered the chicken burrito which was so delicious ! It came filled with rice , beans, lettuce tomatoes and more. The salsa verde was amazing and paired well with the burrito. I also got the Birria tacos which I must say are the best I've ever had . I won't be going anywhere else for my Birria. The meat was seasoned well and the corn tortillas was fresh and toasted just right. The consume was soooo good !! I highly recommend a visit. I already know what I'll be trying next!

Walking into Vicky Bakery in Coral Springs feels less like entering a bakery and more like stepping…read moreinto a pastry showroom where willpower goes to die. Glass cases everywhere. Beautiful displays. Sugar whispering, "Just one more." A very dangerous place for someone who skipped breakfast. I started strong with the breakfast burrito, and credit where it's due, it delivered. The chorizo and eggs were flavorful, well-seasoned, and clearly understood the assignment. Savory, satisfying, and the kind of burrito that makes you think, "Okay... I see you." Then came the empanadas. And this is where things took a turn. I tried both the beef empanada and the spinach and cheese empanada, and neither really landed. They were not bad, just forgettable. Which is disappointing, because this is a bakery, and empanadas feel like they should be part of the hall-of-fame lineup. These felt more like bench players getting some minutes. I expected more flavor, more punch, more "wow." That said, the place itself is gorgeous. Bright, clean, inviting, and absolutely packed with temptations. Cakes, pastries, breads, all of them staring at you like, "You sure you don't want dessert too?" I was not sure. So this is a solid four stars. Great breakfast burrito, stunning space, and enough visual appeal to keep me coming back. I just hope next time the empanadas decide to show up ready to play like the stars they are supposed to be.

I ordered a beef empanada and it was delicious! It was packed with meat and had a great flavor. The outside had the perfect crunch and was not greasy at all. I'm not a huge fan of Mexican food, but my kids are; both loved the tacos and tostadas. I think the spicy tamales would have been better, but only my oldest really liked the tamales. We tried horchata and Jamaican drinks; both were very sweet and not to our liking. The service was good, and the atmosphere is very cozy and family oriented. I probably won't come back for food - again, not a huge Mexican food fan - but always will be back for the bread.

I half expected them to hand me a pager and a Nirvana mixtape with my order. Everything here is freshly baked and dangerously good. The bread is soft enough to double as a pillow (if you could resist eating it first). The pastries are flaky, buttery, and straight-up addictive. I swear the pastilitos whispered "take me home" when I walked by. And the prices -- oh, the prices. I walked out with a full bag of baked happiness for less than what one coffee costs anywhere else in Coral Springs. I actually checked the receipt twice because I thought they missed something. Nope -- just pure, delicious generosity. The smell alone deserves its own five-star rating. Walk through the door, and you'll immediately start questioning every life choice that led you to ever buy supermarket bread. The only downside is they move extremely slow. One person at a time, no matter how long it takes. In short: La Union Bakery is fresh, nostalgic, and absurdly affordable. Go once, and you'll be hooked faster than a kid spotting a donut at eye level.

By the time I arrived at the Margate Fall Festival the lines for all the food were really long. It was either eat at Pork O'Rican, wait in another line for over an hour, or be hungry. Pork O' Rican it is! According to Pork O' Rican this is their story "We are a Puerto Rican food truck who also provides catering for corporate events, parties, festivals and more. We have been cooking authentic Puerto Rican food for years and wanted to be able to share it with the community. Our famous signature dish is our roast pork. Amongst that are some of our top sellers including tostone platters, rice & bean platters, empanadas, alcapurria, and more. We just want to share the Puerto Rican culture and provide the community with the natural flavors of Puerto Rico. This is a family run food truck. Mom and Dad cooked, their daughter took orders, and they even put their young son to work. By the time we got to order they were out of the arroz con gondules, yellow rice and pigeon peas. Fortunately they still had the bacalaitos, codfish fritters which my friend really wanted and she also ordered the alcapurias. I chose the roast pork platter with rice hold the beans ($12). A water was an additional $2. I was pleased that they took both card and cash payments. I gave the plantains to my friend who enjoyed them. The roast pork portion was small, had really hard pieces, and was swimming in pork grease. Once I dislodged it from the grease and shredded it, and incorporated it into the rice it was okay and it did the job of abating my hunger. To be fair my friend really enjoyed her food and she is Puerto Rican so you should trust her opinion more than mine. This is one of those times I really wished Yelp had half stars. If I averaged our two opinions it would be a 3.5. After reading the owner's thoughtful and fair reply and other good reviews I would be open to trying them again when they aren't so busy.

I got the pork sandwich which normally comes with lettuce and tomato, they do not offer onions raw or cooked which is a bummer, but I had sweet onion and spicy pineapple vinegar at home so no biggie. Roll is like an amoroso or something, it's a hoagie type, I would have preferred it as a panini-style on Cuban bread or a round roll but I guess that's what they used today. Next time I won't get it with cheese, frankly next time I'll probably just get it as a plate with beans and rice. Pork itself is nice and tender. Came with tostones. They look good, left them for later. Empanadas are clearly homemade, they are a nice size. Got the beef picadillo ones, haven't touched them yet. I did, however, try their beef Alcapurria. This is a fast food dish unique to Puerto Rico, it is like a tamale but made of mashed plantains, filled with any number of things (this was beef picadillo) and then deep-fried. OMG. An empanada with a plantain crust. Some notes. They did not give me any condiments and didn't ask if I wanted any. Tostones really require Salsa Rosa (pink sauce) or some mojo. I, fortunately, had the ingredients to make it myself, it's ketchup mixed with mayo and usually some spicy vinegar. I would ask and make sure they give you something to dip in. They did take credit card payments and put it in my trunk while I waited so relatively contactless.

At entry was a small one-page sign showing featured Mother's Day "Specials" along with a festive bouquet of helium filled Mother's Day balloons greeting us on this special holiday. Everybody ordered with ease and I typed my phone number in at end of transaction at counter (the counter cashier/Barnstable is where one orders and pays) to earn my Loyalty Points on the transaction. Downtown Espresso still has the Unsweetened plant milk- Unsweet Almond Milk- I adore so I ordered it to be poured into my Iced Cortado FOR HERE. Yes, the order taker asks whether you want the order ToGo or For Here. We had it FOR HERE! Tasted so good and, as a Mother's Day surprise, an individually wrapped Peruvian Alfajore dulce de Leche (gourmet caramel sandwich cookie) was passed out to each lady. So tasty and elegant on Mother's Day. For anyone in the community unaware, the Peruvian restaurant two (2) doors away in this plaza is owned by same owner as Downtown Espresso café. I noticed New desserts are in stock. Thoroughly enjoyed it, as always!
