Aretsky's Patroon hosted a lovely private dinner for our film production team last month. The ambience and service of this establishment is top notch - the staff is attentive and knows exactly when to hover and when to disappear. I enjoyed myself tremendously at this restaurant. I'm only giving 4 out of 5 stars due to the fact that our dining was prearranged for us, and I didn't have the opportunity to choose directly from the menu. I would have loved the chance to taste the various items - but what we did try was delicious. Swing by this establishment, meet the owners who will most likely be hosting at the door, and enjoy a lovely meal off 46th street. Bravo, Aretsky's!

The food, atmosphere and service, were all impeccable. I was with a rather large group of nine, but it didn't make a difference in the quality of food or service. The owner and his son both came by to make us feel welcome and were incredibly gracious. The Kataifi and Wasabi Wrapped Tofu was sensationally delicious. I was completely blown away by the flavor and presentation of this dish. We had a fantastic evening and will certainly be back.

I had such a pleasure dinner experience here last week with my brother and close family friends. We arrived for a 7 pm reservation and was seated right away. The staff greeted us before and during the dinner to ensure that everything was going well. We indulged in the shrimp cocktail, crab cakes, and Cesar salad as our starters. As an entrée, I had the salmon with sautéed spinach which was delicious. My brother had a well don't steak that he devoured. He mentioned that it was one of the best steaks that's he's had in a long time. The chocolate cake was perfect for dessert . Although it was a bit crowded for a weekday night, I can see myself dining here again in the future. The ambiance is nice and cozy. The location is perfect; in the heart of Midtown Manhattan.

An all around solid meal in the city! I heard great things about the steaks here, so opted for the filet mignon which was well seasoned and came with a nice crust on the outside. The tuna tartare and guacamole combination was both interesting and tasty, and paired quite well with their homemade bread. I was already quite stuffed by dessert, but the cheesecake is definitely worth it to finish things off!

Great food with history of the family and alot of sports oriented memorabella. Service is so dedicated. I loved my salad but hear the Lobster BLT is to die for

The best tuna tartar I have ever had! Well worth a second try. The beignets we're phenomenal with a vanilla and chocolate sauce for dipping. Can't wait to go back!!

When I walked in it was a bunch of people in suits. Nothing wrong with people in suits, is just that's all it was. The food was really not impressive. We have great steakhouses in the Midwest, so unfortunately this didn't compare to the food you find from Omaha to St. Paul to Chicago. Scallops were dreadfully overcooked. The tuna tartare was bland. My drink - the out of office - was a bit light on flavor. Sadly, the sea bass' accompanying sauce and condiments were bland. I'm from Minnesota - I know what bland is. The service was excellent at least. Overall, the atmosphere might be flashy for business guys, but the food just was completely underwhelming, especially in New York.

Fabulous rooftop. The staff waits on you hand and foot. Our favorite thing about it was that they sat us right in front of the view. The beignets were amazing, the wine was on point.

Would you recommend the inside seating or terraCe for a birthday dinner?

Check-in was quick and easy, and even though it was a full house for a Saturday night, we were still able to find seats without an issue. Our bartender was really sweet and made great drinks , the cranberry vodka and Long Island were both spot on. We didn't pay extra for the additional glasses to smash, but the six cups included were enough to make the experience fun and satisfying for a casual night. I can see why people would want to buy a full bucket though as it definitely adds to the excitement. The crowd was respectful, and the bathrooms were decently clean, which is always a plus. The energy is right there, hovering, but it never actually lands. It's giving "almost iconic" but not quite--like a party that never fully starts. And that's what gets me. Because this bar could EASILY be that spot. The kind people plan their week around. Where are the themed nights? Where's the drama? The chaos? Give me a reason to come back on a random Wednesday. Do a city-event tie-in, a holiday takeover, literally anything that makes it feel alive instead of just... existing. Because right now it feels like a missed opportunity wearing a cute outfit. BUT--let's talk about the one thing they absolutely did not fumble: the view. The VIEW??? Insane. Genuinely stunning. The kind of view that makes you pause mid-sentence and remember you're in New York and not just spiraling in your own life choices. It's carrying the entire experience on its back, respectfully. So yeah. I'd come back... but mostly for the view and the potential. If they ever decide to actually do something with this space? It could be dangerous (in a good way). Until then, it's vibes... just not fully realized ones.

I also got the foreign forage, "a bourbon smash with a mint zing." It was also a delicious take on a classic. They have several types of cocktails, all broken down by spirit and flavor profile. They also offer a lot of spirits made in New York State. They have cocktails with earthy notes, fruity notes, fancy martinis, and a section boasting limited edition and special spirits, if you're "feeling fancy" and wanna cough up 35 bucks instead of 20 or 25!
