I visited the Edgewater Public Market for the first time and decided to try this place out. I got the Vegetarian Arepa (black beans, avocado, fried plantains, tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, Guasacaca sauce). I thought the ingredients tasted good, but I wish they were more evenly distributed. There were many bites of just black beans. I will have to try other arepa places (like Quiero Arepas) to compare. read more

Arepas House - Vegetarian Arepa - Venezuelan Near Me - Edgewater, Colorado

Delicious areas! So cheesy and nice and hot. Staff is super friendly! Located inside the Public Market which is absolutely beautiful!

Authentic Venezuelan food! The tequeños and arepas are on point; same goes for the drinks. The only disappointment was the texture of the cachapas but that could be due to the type of corn available which could be a different variety from the maíz criollo used in Venezuela to achieve the right consistency. Ordering can be done at the cash point which is user friendly but if you do happen to interact with the staff they are nice and helpful. Even when busy they have a reasonable wait time to get your food. Love the ambiance of the Edgewater Public Market but know if busy, and you have at least one other person with you, find a place to sit before you go order your food. Patrons are friendly though and will more than likely share table with you. read more

Best food I have ever had. We drive 50 minutes just to eat there. The plantains and arepas are the best you will ever eat!

WOW. Best arepa I've ever had. So fresh. I got the pabellon which is a beef arepa. If you are at Edgewater public market, try this place!

Our go to place at Edgewater Public Market. The Pabellon is great! Packed with meat and the corn bread pocket has a good taste while not being crumbly or too dense. Yucca fries are always good as well. read more

DANG THIS IS GOOD STUFF!! First time ever having an Arepas and BLOWN away! I went with the Pabellon and it had a ton of flavor and was just the right amount of food. read more

I wanted to really like this place. Really cool spot in new venue, nice staff, and prices seemed fair. Until you get your arepa. Didn't taste fresh and very little meat. If you are familiar with good authentic arepas this place isn't for you. Sorry for the harsh review guys, just didn't think it was worth 10 dollars. read more

I was really happy to come across Arepas House at Civic Center Eats. After looking at all the trucks, I found that this one had both unique food and vegan options. I've never had Venezuelan or an arepa before so both of these things attracted me to the truck. I love finding something new to try and get so excited when I find out it can be tweaked to fit my diet. The person working the counter in the truck was very helpful. I also liked that they used a buzzer system so you did not have to stand around in the crowded area by the truck and could wander off while you waited for your food. Even though it was very crowded and they were busy the wait was not very long. My vegan arepa was a little messy and hard to eat, so I was glad it came in a bowl with a fork, but was also wrapped up to make picking it up easier. The plantains and avocado were quite tasty. I really appreciate that they created a vegan mayo based sauce for the vegan option. My boyfriend tried an arepa too. I forget which meat based one he had but he agreed that while it was a little messy it was also quite tasty and made for a fun meal. read more

First time trying Arepas House and I was really impressed! I got an order of the fried plantains and cheese, plus the pabellon and everything was just bursting with flavor. Loved the sweet/salty combo of the plantains with cheese and everything inside the arepa was delicious! Especially loved the shredded beef and the guasacaca sauce. You can even pick how spicy you want everything to be. I went mild because I wanted to share with my toddler (who also loved the beef!) but I'll definitely try it spicy next time for myself. It's nice that you get a big ol' portion, but it does make it pretty hard to eat. I ended up using a fork, but that means not getting any of the cornmeal in the bite. Oh well. Can't wait to try some of the other menu options! read more

Ordered online, never got my food!!! Trued called to no avail, really bad customer service. Literally no effort to help me out

Edgewater is a super trendy food hub but ultimately had to find a good arepa in Denver. I got the spicy pabellón which was absolutely delicious. The beef was so flavorful and tender and juicy I was thoroughly impressed. Only complaint is that I wish it had more plantain- only one small piece in it. My friend got the patacón which sounded good in theory but was really overwhelming. Very loaded and very creamy which I personally didn't care for but he didn't mind. The tequenos were bomb!! Like Venezuelan mozarrella sticks but less greasy. My service was prompt and didn't have mistakes but two of my friends kept having issues with their orders. read more

So good! I like that they have vegan and gluten free options. The staff is kinda rude, but the food was so good. Will definitely be back. read more

A mostly gluten free menu that is full of delicious food!! Love Edgewater Public Market (so cute and fun) and love this spot (yummy and fast)! read more

The Edgewater Market is a great place for all. I love all the options it makes eating with a group super simple. The vegetarian arepa is very good. You have the option to make it spicy and that's just what I did. I did find it rather odd that the arepa has lettuce and tomato within it, however it did add a nice little crunch. The yuca fries are very tasted and come with a spicy dipping sauce that makes them so much better. They have great juices to choose from as well so be sure to try one! read more

Authentic Venezuelan arepas! I had the chicken arepa and the papelon juice. The arepa was very large and delicious. And the papelon was refreshing... just as I remember from being with my Venezuelan family. I asked an employee which part of Venezuela the owners are from... and they told me Columbia. Does this mean that arepas Venezolano son mejor que los arepas Colombiano?!? Yo creo que si... read more

These arepas are absolutely one of my favorite foods! I love ordering "The Mix" with spicy sauce. The plantains add a delicious sweetness to the savory and spicy meat and sauces, and the arepa comes in a fluffy and soft pocket package. Don't ask for a fork - eat it like a sandwich and prepare for a flavor bomb in your mouth! I've also tired the Pabellón in the past if you're feeling wild. The fried plantain sandwich gives the sandwich a whole new experience! Amazing all around. read more

Arepas House is soooo delicious! I got the Queen Arepa and my parents each got the Vegan Arepa and we shared the yuca fries. Everything was perfection! The bf got a beef arepa... started with a P he thinks. The dish only came with one plantain. There was not enough sauce in the arepa. He was not a fan of the yucca fries either. I had a bite of everything and I thought overall everything was ok. read more

The best arepas and patacon ever in Denver. If you wanna try a good food gluten free and with an amazing flavor, you have to try arepas or patacon here. I had the patacons and it was delicious and my friends had the arepas and they said the same. Good Job Arepa House!!! read more

I wasn't a fan. The arepas seemed thin and tasted stale. I ordered the pabellón. The meat was good but not very seasoned. I ordered the tequeños and one was served burst. The sauce they gave me to dip the tequeños tasted like a generic mayo/ketchup type of sauce. I didn't see any deserts on the menu and was disappointed not to see Chicha or Cocada drinks on their menu. I would love to see fresh arepas being cooked to order if that is the main attraction. Great location but needs some work! read more

I have been chasing around arepas house food trucks last couple of years and I am soo happy that it is now a restaurant!!! I don't have to chase them around. Great food, clean, fresh and tasty!! I'm a big fan of Arepas and I have now found my favorite spot. First time I tried their arepas was at a Jazz event at City Park in Denver over the summer. Ever since then, I have been waiting for them to open up this location in Edgewater. I was not disappointed! I had only tried the chicken arepa and loved it. I was recommended by Jorge to try the shredded beef arepa along with some tequeños and thought it was delicious. Food, service and staff is great. Everyone is very friendly, with great attitudes. This is a must try for any person that loves Venezuelan food and arepas! Thumbs up read more

My team, we bought around $124 worth of food for pick up. Went to pick it up, I had two bags that fit in one hand and the drink holder in the other, as soon as I turn around, my drinks fell right in front of the store, went back to the guy that gave me my food and told them that my drinks fell and the first guy just gave me a "idk what to do gesture" and tells me that happens a lot and there is nothing he can do about it, then a second guy comes up and I told him what happened and said he packed the drinks and that he did it right, essentially blaming it on me, stating also that he noticed I have 2 other bags and the drink carrier in just ONE hand, like, is it my fault that your drink carrier cannot properly handle 3 drinks? (I posted a picture of bottom of a drink, it will make sense once you see it) then I asked for a manager, who wasn't there but they decided to call him. The second guy comes back and says that he understands my point of view BUT says he is willing to give 2 drinks for free for the price of one. I refused and left. My manager then called the store, spoke with the manager who didn't disclosed his name, and explained the situation, instead of the manager been understanding and whatnot, the managers response was that he is aware of the situation and that he CHECKED the security cameras and saw me leaving outside, which is not true, this is a foodcourt, the drinks fell from your faulty practices or poor quality cup and holder right in front of your food stand, and also said I dropped the drinks on purpose and then advised my manager that I should be careful next time, essentially blaming the whole ordeal on the customer, for 3 drinks, really pathetic since he ended up replacing the drinks. My manager send another employee to pick up the drinks and to add insult to the injury, they took picture of him walking away with the drinks which he wasn't able to carry properly in the carrier and decided to grabbed the drinks not using the carrier due to the drinks not able to clinch onto the carrier due to the round nature of the bottom of the cup which I attached a picture. Overall, this establishment is not customer friendly, petty, not business savvy cause it chooses 4$ dollars drinks over $100s in business and very greedy. Will not recommend. read more

This has become my go to spot at the Public Market. The arepas are delicious, the staff is friendly and the food is usually pretty quick. One word of advice, the patacon is delicious, but it is definitely enough for two. The regular arepas are always well stuffed, even the lobster. read more

The Queen (arepa with cold chicken salad) was UNBELIEVABLE. So delicious! It doesn't look like a lot of food at first, but trust me, a single arepa is a GREAT portion. I would eat here all the time if I lived here! read more

These arepas are the BEST THING I HAVE EATEN IN 2020. Seriously. I requested the truck come to a small event I was hosting for a work meeting, and we ate so much less than anticipated. The crew was super chill about it, but I fully plan on ordering catering or just taking a large group to the restaurant at next opportunity. Friendly. Clean. LOVELY. If you are considering this establishment for anything, my answer is YES YES YES. They are the most legit arepas I have had since moving to Denver. Thank you, Arepas House!!! I'll be in soon! read more

Dry, didn't feel like they tried very hard, just checking boxes. Pictures were better than the real thing

Ordered on line, process was easy, pickup was easy, though requires a short walk as this is inside the Edgewater Marketplace. We had arepas, patecones, and plantain appetizer. All very good, unique flavors. We plan to do it again. read more

This review is for the vegetarian option. If you like black beans, this is great. If you expected a good arepa, this is not. No flavor, very messy, small for the $. Quiero arepas is miles ahead, as are some others I've had in town at various food trucks. I wouldn't recommend coming here. read more

Tasty, big arepas, including a vegetarian option. Part of Edgewater Market so you can take your food and go upstairs to sit outside on the deck in the sunshine. I had such a great experience! I ordered the veggie option, but requested no beans bc of an allergy. They gave me beans.. I HATE COMPLAINING, but it was too much to avoid. The women was so wonderful. Ate from the food truck for years. Now, at their Sloans Lake fixed location, the food is still wonderful. Favorite arepa is the Queen with chicken salad, but the Patacon is the ultimate, a bowl of food between fried plantains. Delicious. Best fast food in town. They now have juices and soft drinks as well. read more
