I bought a small container of personal lube. When I opened it at home I found that the seal beneath the cap had been partially peeled off and the contents exposed to ??!
Hmmm?? I smelled it to see if it had been tampered with, but my nose is not a forensic chemistry lab, so I decided to follow the instructions on the container 'Do not use if tamper-evident seal is removed or broken'.
The following day I called the store and told the manager the issue and asked for an replacement of the same product, but I was told that the store policy is 'All sales are final. No refunds. No returns.'.
Ok... So I asked "Before I buy another as a replacement, would I be allowed to unscrew the cap to check to ensure that the 'Tamper-evident' seal is intact". Her answer was "No. You can't... and no I won't open it."
I don't know who, where or why the seal was opened, but given that there is no recourse and no way to ensure that a product purchased off of their shelves is safe, I will not shop there again. read more
