Fairly basic on the inside with dark wooden tables and not much light. That said it was cozy and we were very comfortable. The meals are very large. My wife ordered Picada Reina Lucero, which had several varieties of meat, white cheese, tartar sauce on top and two sides of other sauces, one a chunky green sauce and a smooth white sauce that mostly tasted like salty butter. The meat was piled on top of fried arepas. My BIL ordered a half chicken and an empanada with pork. The empanada was large and the pork filling was delicious. The chicken was flavorful and cooked perfectly. I ordered the De La Casa Arepones with shredded beef. Ham, cheese and sauce were served along with the delicious shredded beef. This is the only item we ordered that could be considered as a single serving, but even at that it was a lot of food. If I'm in the area I will not hesitate to stop in again and explore more of their menu.

They are huge, one could feed 3 people. I had the chriozo, but it was like hillshire smoked sausage. I would say get the chicken with smoked meats and fried pork. Pass on the Tostones, they were not fried, they were baked and very dry so pass on those. Place has a cool vibe, and decor. You can bring a marker and write on the wall.

He said he was from Venezuela. Then asked him if he knew of any Venezuelan restaurant with excellent tasting food? Never had it before and was so excited to try it! Went with my brother and his wife and luckily she spoke Spanish. We ordered one of everything (I think) and they also had a Christmas combo item we got as well. Surprised how different everything was and had a small Mexican similarity to tamales but that is where it ended. Service was fast and fun, the server kept laughing and making fun of us for ordering so much food. He also took us on a tour to the other side of the building were they are building a larger dining room. For sure will be back as I love different, unique, and flavorful with attentive service.

I ordered the patacón and paid extra to have it gratinado, which is supposed to come covered in cheese, but mine didn't. I also ordered and paid for three different meats, but I didn't receive those either. I don't usually write reviews, but is frustrating to pay extra for items and upgrades that you don't receive. The food itself tasted good, but for my first experience, I was disappointed that my order wasn't prepared the way I ordered and paid for it. The restaurant was nice and inviting they just need to pay better attention to their orders.

The owners are Colombian and Venezuelan, and know their cooking well. This is as authentic as you can get for Colombian and Venezuelan cuisine. This time I ordered the small mondongo soup with rice. What is Mondongo? Beef stomach lining, Spanish might call it callos, British would call it Tripe, Mexicans might call it menudo. Same ingredient but much lighter and flavorful. Very satisfying when the days are cold. The tequeños are the Venezuelan version of fried mozzarela sticks, some claim them as the "entry drug" to Venezuelan cuisine. I think they have a point. A sign the food is authentic- look around at the other restaurant patrons.

I went back the following week because I miss the sizzling plate and the fried rice, but found out that they were having Santa studio that day. Kids were lining up to take pictures with Santa, so cute, but too bad that the restaurant was too packed so I end up leaving hungry. I went back again, of course. I have to say something negative, just to be fair, their famous ribs weren't that impressive. It's a bit dry and lack of flavor. Another plus is that they sometimes serve coffee after the meal.
