This review is for the auto body shop and mechanics. I called around on a Saturday early afternoon after i experiences something REALLY scary. I couldn't accelerate beyond 20-25mph on my Nissan and the car was reving but not going anywhere. I parked and I let the car rest for about an hour while i frantically call every place around me. They were the ONLY shop that took a same day appointment! I would rush over but I couldn't even go any faster so i slowly made my way over. I got a car from Selena to make sure i was on my way because they close at 5pm and they wanted to save my spot. I got there and they ran a diagnostic on my car to see what's up. They showed me the error codes that were found and explained to me that if it's the problems that the diagnostics test surfaced, it's be a job to take to a Nissan dealer because my vehicle is still under manufacture guarantee. Tao drove the car around the block to test it but didn't experience the problem I had, so he suggested that I do a basic tune up to service the vehicle to ensure it's not due to those issues. The car drove better after the services but the diagnostic test rerun still came back with the same error codes. They jotted down the codes for me so i can communicate to my dealership better. They charged for the services but were honest and sincere about what's be best for me. They could have kept the car overnight, charged me for the diagnostic ($180 at my dealer) and did work on the transmission if they had wanted. If you're like me who doesn't know cars very well, you need someone who's honest and transparent about the real needs of the car and is on your side with your interests in mind. And I trust them after my encounter this weekend. read more

My driver brought in a 2023 GMC Yukon XL SUV for a tire nail repair, the auto shop owner *an Asian Lady had his staff to take out the nail from the tire, and told my driver its non repairable, then driver called me, and I talked to the owner via speaker phone, she kept saying that tire was not repairable, i asked if they have the tire in stock to change, she said no, then her staff was trying to put the spare tire on but they didn't know how to do it, the lady owner kept saying the tool was missing, I told her this is a new car and should have it... Then her attitude became super rude and mean, she cussed and yelling at me over the phone, she then refused to keep working on the car, pull the car out from the rack with no air *since the nail was plugged out, which could create more damage that tire that could possibly be repair by other shop, and damaged the TPM sensor inside the tire.... Luckily the rim was not damaged..... I had to call a tow truck to come rescue my driver, waited over 2 hours, and we missed 1 of the pickup that could be done if the shop didn't refuse to keep repairing, they never think of the safety hazard on this incident... VERY BAD business ethics.... I never say I am not paying, we did not even get to that point and that lady owner just flipped out and refuse to keep on working on the SUV also filed complaint to BBB read more

This is the only place I only go to for oil changes because my sister recommended them, years ago. Love that it's in the neighborhood, usually 30 mins, and so transparent! Very affordable. Hao even sets the mileage in my car a settings, letting me know when to come back. The lady who checks everyone out is also so informative. read more

There isn't very many gas station around the area especially when the gas indicator turned on. Sure there are some down at Mission and up at Bayshore, but that is a good distance away. This is the only good thing I can say about this place. There are always questionable people around here. Never leave your keys in the car even when standing next to it. Never leave any doors other than drivers unlocked. And never be on the phone, distracted from seeing what others are doing. read more

Open 24 hours. Arco gas stations seem to be the low price leader lately. Cheaper than all other gas stations in SF. And this week just 2 cents away from Costco's gas price. Yay! Remember that all Arco gas stations charge a 45 cents transaction fee for ALL card payments (except their own). I wouldn't use the card transaction machine between pumps #1 and #4, I often see someone having a hard time using it. Just pay cash at the cashier to get the lowest price. read more

Always there when I need gas . This has station has been here since I was a kid. When it's crowded I wait

Be careful when you use their cash payment machine. I paid 20 and 10 dollar bills and filled 24 dollars gas. When I go to the cashier for change, she said she didn't see any change to be given. She sees 20 deposit but I filled 24. That's obviously something went wrong. I told her to open the machine and she can see that the last 2 bills is a 20 and a 10 and she said she can't open it. Then gave me a receipt and come back to argue with her boss tomorrow. I said what can I have proof after I leave and she just said she doesn't know. I was like what the f? Guys just be aware when you deposit with those stupid machine. Cheap branded is cheap after all. Update: talked to the owner next day in the morning, he was nice and refunded me right away. Although he did curious that I read the bill wrong but of course I know I didn't. Even I did read it wrong, the pump wouldn't give me 24 dollars gas. At least he was being nice an cooperative. However, should still avoid using their machines. Pay in cash to the cashier. I don't gas here but I know someone that does. I came with this person on a busy day which there was a line. It was our turn to gas and some lady tried to swoop on our spot. Luckily we swooped on it before she did and started yelling at us that we cut her off when she wasn't in "line" in the first place. She started to get all ghetto which was so unnecessary. First of all, I would never come here by myself just cause it seems dangerous. I don't care if it's the cheapest gas in SF along with the one on Sickles. I rather just pay cash cause I honestly don't trust those credit card machines. This gas is more quantity than quality anyways. Worst gassing experience ever. If you want to get hassled by aggressive homeless guys who open your gas tank and clean your car without asking (just to guilt you into paying them) or wait in an endless line of people who want cheap gas, then this is the gas station for you. This is my go-to spot for oil changes. I wish I knew I how to change my own oil but since I don't, I bring it to Arco and they do it quickly for a reasonable rate. I usually come in the mornings anytime before 9:30 and there's never a wait. Save yourself the debit card transaction fee and bring cash. Just a note: Like everybody else, I used to come here for cheap gas but in general, with Arco gas, watch how fast the needle on your gas gauge moves from full to empty. Perhaps their smog check service is better, but when people are usually here, they're getting the cheaper gas than the nearby stations. There seems to be huge lines for this place around rush hour on weeknights, so getting gas early in the morning or during non-rush hour times might be more wise for this station. During nighttime, the cashier is usually locked behind glass where you put your money into a small opening and tell them which pump number to activate. This isn't a good sign, especially when there are shady people outside asking for money at times. Nothing special about this place other than it's near Crocker Amazon and near the outer Mission area. The cheap gas is nice, though at times it's not my favorite gas station when there are people harassing others for money. read more

This place charged my elderly grandmother $89 for a smog test and told her it failed. They told her it would cost $400 for a tuneup and to pass. She took it to another place in Westlake and it passed without any adjustment. RIP OFF!! They totally took advantage of my elderly grandmother who thinks that things like smog test need to be done immediately or she'll get in trouble. read more

Honest repair place. They could have had my girlfriend for about $200 worth of brake work, but were able to fix the problem (grinding noise) just by getting the dust off the contact surfaces. $20. On the minor downside, they broke--unknowingly or not-- a couple plastic retainer clips on the back of two of the wheel covers, which are 10 years old. Both covers fell off on the extremely short drive to our Crocker-Amazon home. (We found them, but they're shot.) BTW I'm amused by the squeamish, if tongue-in-cheek, comment about the "drug fiends" supposedly lurking around this station. Jimminy! Are there mashers too? True, there is an occasional hard-luck case panhandling there, but the cheap gas more than makes up for that. You do live in a city, y'all! Everything can't be a spa day. That said, many women will feel uncomfortable gassing up here after dark. read more

I believe this gas station has one of the lowest if not the lowest gas prices in the city. This place is always super busy!!!! Bring cash, you'll get more bang for your buck. they charge a 0.45 cent fee every time you use your ATM card. Getting your smog check here is really cheap too. read more

I used Waze to find the cheapest gas station nearby and this place came up. I inserted 2 credit cards and it asked me if I wanted to charge a 35 cent and then asked me for a pin number. I asked the attendant inside why it's asking me for a pin number on a credit card transaction. He tells me they only accept debit cards. They may have the cheapest gas but you'll be forced to used your ATM card. AVOID. read more

I have no idea how this place does it, but they manage to practically give away gas. I've not found anywhere in the City that comes anywhere close to this place, so it's worth mentioning that even Costco in San Leandro is often more expensive than this place, which just blows my mind that this ARCO is able to deliver gas at a price usually lower than that of Costco in the suburbs. Their station is cash or debit card only, and the debit card comes with a 35¢ fee, but even with this, their prices are hands down the cheapest across the city. As for the other aspects, they aren't that customer service oriented, but at these prices, they could pretty much do anything, and I'd be willing to buy gas from them. As for the bigger picture of pumping gas here, there can often be lines to get gas, but these lines usually move fairly quickly. I can't say that I've ever waited longer than 10-15 minutes, and I only ever waited this long, maybe once. Although it's best to keep one's guard up, people can get a bit feisty and cut-throat at this place. I've seen a couple of squabbles between customers, and there's the occasional horn blaring in addition to the fact that there are the inconsiderate jerks who will cut in front of everyone. These people make the experience a bit tumultuous; however, I've found that going after about 9 PM at night alleviates most of these conflicts. There tend to be a few homeless people who hang around this station begging for money or handouts. I've never suspected any advanced identify theft debit card cloning operations, but I still cover my hand when entering my pin as there are some shady people who don't seem to get that the need for privacy when entering a pin number. I'll guarantee that there isn't a single place in SF that comes within 20¢ of this place. read more

Okay, here's the dilemma, cheap ass gas OR waiting forever? Seriously, the people who get gas here are f'in dumbasses! The line up is always screwed up and the line goes out of the street! hmmm, sadly the reason why the line is out of the street is due to the fact that people mess up the line up. anyhow, enough complaining, cause the gas is cheap, even if they take 0.45 out of my debit card, it's only 0.45 cents. Closest gas station to my house. and its a lot cheaper than Chevon and Shell gas station that's a few block away from this gas station. This station is always crowded everyday depending what time and day you go. Once in a while you'll get lucky if it's not crowded. You can pay at the self station booth area or at the cashier. Sometime there's are nice cashiers and sometime you'll see a female cashier that sometime have a mean, grumpy, or sad expression. This gas is open 24 hours. They have auto body shop where they can fix your car for you but i don't what their rating is because i never had my car fix their before. So okay place to pump gas for your car. read more

The cash machines are inaccurate. The owner lied to me and said there was no video of the transaction where I lost my money and got an error message. The owner then pretended to call the police to scare me and make me leave. When I actually called the police, they told me they have problems with this place all the time. Once the police showed up, the owner was suddenly able to produce a video which showed the machine take my money. Despite this video evidence, the owner still made me wait until the end of the week when they could "verify the till" before they would return my money. Pretty new to the Bay and I found this station, hoping for a quick oil and filter change. I expected fairly brisk service, typical, etc. Called ahead on a Friday midday and they had time to get me in right away. When I arrived, an older gentleman stood in a bay door and guided me in, recognizing my vehicle as the one I described by phone. They got right to work and the two employees were super helpful, funny, informative, and honest. They even recommended a few things to save me money on future repairs- tips that didn't benefit them directly at all. Did all the fluids, air, etc. Very excellent service and I must say that the older gentleman working there is one of the coolest mechanics I've ever met. Definitely a thumbs up. Parking is a challenge but go on a weekday and call ahead if it makes sense at the time. Trivia: I'm pretty sure this location was filmed for an episode of "Trauma." I had been waiting for this ARCO to be remodeled before I stopped by for gas and today was that day. As I approached the station I could tell that today was going to be a bit chaotic. I was excited because the cost per gallon is a cheaper at this gas station than any of the others in the area which is great. But, waiting to get into the station and to a pump was a lot more complicated than it needed to be. Essentially, the setup of this station has remained the same from what it was prior to the updates. Unfortunately, that means drivers are taking odd and strange turns to get to a pump as well as maneuvering around the station crazily to get to a pump parallel to their gas tank. So this is where things get crazy. The pump hose actually stretches so it DOESN'T matter whether your tank faces the pump or no, i.e. Costco gas pump. This concept is apparently not known to most customers so what winds up happening here are customers that will wait and insist on not moving because they want to WAIT on a PUMP that is parallel to their tank. THIS IS WHERE THE EPIC FAIL HAPPENS! When I arrived I had to wait for a pump to open up. As I was waiting the lady behind me honks for me to pull forward when it is clear that there are NO PUMPS to pull up to. Eventually, a spot opens up and I pull forward and assess the length of the hose and determine that I can pull the hose while the rest of the people at the station look dumbfounded for some reason or another, I'm putting gas in my tank move it along! Anyway, I go inside to pay for my pump and double check with the station attendant and he confirms my assertions about the hose. When I get back to my car I begin to fill up and I see the lady that honked at me still waiting for a pump when there are clearly 2 pumps available. She was clearly waiting for a pump that faced her tank! So get this. The car behind her then SLAMS his horn and she throws her hand's up and then pulls forward to a pump. That is what we call KARMA. At this point she is absolutely confused about how she is going to pump gas to her tank. I just laugh watch her scramble for a solution as to how to get gas in her car. She actually stared at the pump and her tank back and forth for a good 5 minutes. Just pure entertainment. Back to the gas, I pump $10 in my tank and I wound up filling just over half a tank which usually requires at least 15 anywhere else. I'm glad I got a lot for my money but coming here when it is not crowded is clearly ideal for future visits, be warned. Gas in the tank....I'm good. #$10onPump6 read more

Owner.... you better review the staff you hire for your night shift, probably stealling you blind! iI was there last night & watched as customers had to go back & forth from pump to walk up window, including me. What I observed was a bunch of no mannerskids inside playing cards, I know that game of 13 card Poker & it wasn't for funs, they were GAMBLING! This caused the so called cashier not to pay attention. I paid my $35.00 & told him the pump. I went to the pump & nothing happened, this only means he took my money & continued with his cards. Watch these guys at night, they're not there to work. I only come here when the bro-ski is in desperate need of gas.It's crazy how the owners or managers of ARCO will allow bums to solicit the gas station. I understand that everyone is trying to make a living, but having bums here harassing customers to pay them to wash their windows is SCARY! When you say no to the bums, they give you the stink eye and try to give you Shish for saying NO. Sitting here in the car as a passenger and just watching them interact with the customers is not acceptable, I heard them yell at every single car that came by, who denied window washing services.Gas is so cheap at this location, this review will def not make a difference. The gas is cheap--usually just a couple cents more expensive than Costco, but they are always crowded and their line system is horrible. Lines are often in the street, and even though no entrance is marked, there is an unspoken rule to only enter from Naples (NOT Geneva). If the second car finishes before the one in front, it has to wait because there is no room to go around. All of the chaos leads to easily-irritated customers. If you happen to drive by and there are a few open pumps, by all means, get gas here. But if two or less pumps are open, move on. The spaces will fill up quickly and someone else will probably cut you off to get there first. read more

Attendant lies and claims they don't have a key to the bathroom. Avoid this location and take your business some place honorable.

Just got my smog check at other gas station but failed, so took my car to this Arco cause my neighbor said they do a good repair. Showed my test report to the mechanic and he told me he's not going to do it and just walk away. Very rude. Bad manners. If you don't want to be treated disrespectful. Stay away. read more

Usually the lowest gas prices in San Francisco, I always hear this station mentioned on KCBS's gas price watch. However the best part of this station is that they have a very good and very honest repair shop. I've had a lot of stuff done here, timing belts, brakes, oil changes, tune-ups, smog checks, and emissions control equipment. They also do radiator replacements. Especially good for Toyota and Honda repairs. The mechanics go to the Toyota factory training classes at Skyline College. For important stuff like brakes, they usually will use OEM parts, which raise the total cost of the repair, but it's worth it in my opinion. Sometimes I bring my own OEM oil filter, but now they started stocking OEM filters for their regular customers. On the downside, the waiting room is pretty grubby. read more

Dirt cheap gas...long wait but worth it if you have lots of time to spare... I usually fill up late night... There is always a homeless disabled guy and Asian guy on crack.... But they don't mean any harm.. Just say sorry next time...I don't give in to guilt trips.. I think this gas station has the cheapest gas in the city. I live around the area and I have been all over SF. I have this app on my that tells me where the cheapest gas is, based on my location and no matter where I am, there is no cheaper place than this Arco station, therefore; I'm a fan!! Other than the price, there are hardly ever any panhandlers like other gas stations typically have and they have a service center for smog-checks and repairs. I haven't been there but they always have customers there when I go buy gas so it must say something about it.. The only bad thing I have to say about this is that it gets super busy at times. I have waited 10 minutes before for gas! Luckily, all the times I have gotten gas there, I have not been in a hurry... I have been changing my oil at this location for years because it is very close to where I live. The two mechanics there were always nice. They always checked my tire pressure and rotated them every time I had the oil changed. They had never tried to cross sell me any additional services. They just did what I went there for. The last two visits raised my suspicion. I saw new faces there on the first visit, but they could be new employees. The guy who changed my oil suggested I also change transmission oil and showed me that the oil has become black, then showed me that the oil should be pinkish red after he changed it. Then on my next visit he suggested me to change the transmission oil again, and repeated the same black and pinkish oil show. Right then I notice that the familiar mechanics were not there anymore. There might be a different owner now and has a different way of doing business that I can't trust. I will just go somewhere else next time. read more
