We asked to pump ten dollars of gas and the pump went to twenty three dollars and the guy came outside and told us that we needed to pay the difference. We only had ten dollars and we didn't have a card to pay with so we had to have our dad come meet us and pay the difference. Gas prices are great but i have two issues with this station. First you have to go inside twice if paying with cash, once to give them some and again to get change, if any. And second, (I may be overly suspicious here) at least three times recently, I've deposited what I thought was more than enough cash to fill the tank, only to find that ALL the cash deposited in advance was used up!! Have you had this experience there? Dishonest, corrupt software, maybe? Is that even possible? Pay attention and see if you have this experience. read more

My complain is about the employee there. I don't know his name, but there's a Spanish guy that every time that his attend me. He talks with me in Spanish. This is a very, very busy station right next to the freeway. Usually has long lines but worth it unless you are in a hurry. Cheapest gas around in this area. There is a small fee to use a debit card but still cheap. Small station so the lines will go out into the street sometimes. read more

Ok, I only took off one star because of the stupid people who take forever, and so the lines are usually long... and it sucks that you have to make a weird, unnecessary loop you have to make when getting off and on the freeway if heading north... and the fact that you can't use a credit card... and because of the $0.45 charge just to use your debit card. Even though the gas is cheap, the workers seem to use very poor judgement. I've been going there for years and am used to just putting my card in, pumping my gas, and leaving. Evidently on 7/30/16, there were individuals working there who were not very bright. There was confusion about pumping the gas in the usual way, the guy had my credit card, called the police, and ended up canceling my credit card which I needed in three days for a trip back east. When I realized it was missing and I hadn't paid, I went back to the station immediately. I just spent nearly 45 minutes on the phone with my bank trying to resolve this matter. I would recommend going to the ARCo at Tam Junction (which is also cheap and whom I've never had a problem with) over these guys anyday. read more

Cheapest gas by a mile. Nice! Close to highway. Only drawback is that lines can be very very long. All other stations in Marin should go to jail for price gouging. They often charge $1 more a gallon. Don't forget you can report the gouging stations to the state. Never done it but it's an option or you can just shop here. Only go here if you dont care about your car. The gas sucks at all Arcos. It is cheap yes, but when I see nice cars coming to get gas here I dont get it. There is such thing as quality in gas. Go to a Chevron or 76. In the end the price difference is only like a dollar. Plus you have to wait in that long ass line of dumb people. Great place to fill the car with well priced gas! The prices of gas go up and down and sometimes way up! Argo has great prices for gas. Recently started taking credit cards which became helpful! Also it does help when you have a car that doesn't eat too much gas!! read more

Yep, best price in bay area. Long lines move fast. No lines at 5 AM (but you have to talk through the glass since they don't open the front door till 6 AM or so). Plan your fill ups: 1) Wait till you're at least half empty to make it worth waiting in line 2) bring cash and safe the ATM fee 3) go early or late (after 7 PM) to avoid the rush 4) go there when you're headed southbound to avoid the detour to get back on northbound 101. It's easier than it sounds and it makes it simple to save $$. Yelp's map shows the station in the middle of Town & Country Village. That's wrong! It's actually on the other side of the freeway and a bit south of what the map shows. Take the unmarked (!) offramp on southbound 101 just after the Blithedale/Tiburon exit. You can't miss the line of cars backed up on the street. 2 points if you can find any other unmarked freeway offramps in the Bay Area. As far as the quality of the gas, there's only about 3 refineries so all you gas comes from one of them and it doesn't matter what station you shop at. While you're at it, only by regular. Only difference for more expensive grades is that they are more expensive. Your car won't run any better. Unless you have a rare car that the manufacturer specified hi-octane gas. I have yet to see such a car in the last 20 years. read more

When getting gas at about 6:30am on Monday, 07/15/2013 on my way to work the automated cash payment stations would not take my bills. When I went inside to prepay I handed the cashier two $20 bills. He only charged the pump for $20.00 total and when I went back in to complain he tried to fob off a story that I had handed him two $10 bills (not possible as I had just gotten them from an ATM that only dispenses twenty dollar bills). As I loudly argued this with the cashier the only reaction from the man sitting behind him, presumably the manager, was a short, bored glance. If I could have spared the time without getting fired from my job I would have called the police and filed a criminal complaint. As it is after being a regular, weekly customer of this business for more than a year I will not be returning to this station ever again. read more

Do not go here! I've told them repeatedly that pump #6 doesn't work, I've seen so many people try to use it besides myself, and it recoils as soon as you set it and sprays gas all over your car, your person, and the ground. This happened once again to me today, right in front of the attendant after I brought his attention to it, and he still claimed "it worked fine"! What an outrage! I'm now soaked with gas, and I saw all the gas that spewed out of the pump flowing out of the station with the rain water, right towards the bay. This ARCO is the lowest price in Marin or the North Bay for regular gas....and perhaps the entire Bay Area.... and has been for a number of years. The new pumps are clean and easy to use. pay cash if you want to avoid a debit or credit card fee of, I think .35cents. Their little store is nothing special but who the hell cares? Other stations in the area are typically 50 or 60 cents higher (Chevron, Valero and other thieves). I don't know how or why the others get away with the prices they charge. Does not seem to be any true price competition. This ARCO is good news and is very well located. read more
