Yayhya is amazing He performed a miracle when he recommended purchasing his " Fix a Flat " on my boat trailer tire. I called triple aaa but their Jack was note strong enough, and it turned out my spare tire did not have a safe valve stem. So, we inserted the product from the above and 10 minutes later we were able to put in the proper amount of air to safely transport my 6,000 pound boat down the highway and the trailer is still good some weeks later. 24 hours of driving from SF to Portland and back, through swarms of nasty Mosquitos and dusty back country roads...my poor car practically drove itself to the car wash. Being the frugalmeister that I am, I have not had the inside of my car cleaned by none other than me and a can of Armor All in about 2 years. The rims of my wheels were so embarrassingly black inside that I just accepted that it was a lost cause. So, I had more than a twinge of guilt when I rolled up for a $21.95 car wash and detail, both inside and out. As my car started to go through the washing tunnel and 2 guys appeared scrubbing my front window, I was pleasantly surprised that it was a hand wash! And I was serenaded in Spanish. Well, not really...I think they just like to sing, but a girl can pretend. When I got to the other side, 3 other guys were there to do all the rest. 20 minutes later I got into a car that I barely recognized. My leather seats looked moisturized and refreshed. Every evidence that I had been camping in the woods was sucked into oblivion by their turbo vac and wiped away with care. I do, however, wish that they dipped your floor mats into a cleaning solution. Then again, maybe that's what keeps the price under $25. Driving away I thought to myself, I am a changed woman! I promised to myself: "No more eating breakfast in the car!" OK, let's be realistic. I went home and opened the trunk only to find the bag of chips that I bought at their mini mart had fallen out leaving a pile of crumbs on a perfectly nice vacuumed floor. Agh, the irony! read more

I just spent the last half an hour at the car wash on Ridgeway at the Shell station. I hate to write this review but... I go into the gas station fuel up then I get a car wash. I pay $.20 more per gallon then I should and then they charge me an additional six dollars on top because I have an oversized vehicle for the wash. It's just an SUV midsize. I'm a firm believer if you pay for something you should get what you pay for. I paid for the deluxe/works here. As the gentleman in the tan hat whistles for me I come over and notice 25 or 30 bucks still on the windshield. I said can we get the bugs please he said to me oh you always complain... He said , what did you pay $26? He said it's not his fault. I replied it's not your fault the bugs got there but it is your fault you did not remove them. He continued to give me lip. To the management staff at this car wash facility. I will no longer be bringing my car to your facility. You need to have a quality control person be the one that calls the customers to their car. He needs to do an inspection of the unit. There is no reason you should be returning inferior product to your customer base. It's just a shame. Please work it out Looking for a great car wash, take a three minute drive down to the Strawberry Chevron. They have a quality control manager that will inspect the vehicle before returning it to you. read more

For decades this used to be a small but superb car wash with a hard working, well-tipped workforce going all out to send you on your way with a gleaming car - inside and out. The new operator - Ducky's Car Wash (or some such thing) are useless quacks. They've fired all of the laborers, maintained the prices, and reduced the service to about zero. They no longer clean the insides of the cars! You get to vacuum your car yourself, and as far as the inside windows, dashboard, and upholstery are concerned, tough luck. Thus, they've lost my business forever. Hopefully it will change hands again one day soon and be restored to a useful enterprise. Meantime, they can duck off ... read more

Former resident of Sausalito and big fan of the prior car wash. Stopped in as I was passing Sausalito - saw it was under new ownership (Ducky) and revamped - thought I'd give it a try. Never again. Prior = two guys hand-soaping the car prior to entry and two guys hand drying the car upon exit; Current = no hand-washing prior, and one guy after drying my car with a single 12 inch maintenance rag. NOT something I'd use on a paint finish. Really bad job drying the car. ALSO - knocked the cover off my side mirror during the wash. I complained - they said it happens (never happened EVER before). I see other people have posted about this too. ALSO - their air dryer system was so forceful that it started pushing in the sunroof glass and letting water in. Was told they have no control over that. Seriously??? Am I supposed to control that? Is it my job to hold the glass in place? Will not visit again. read more

This is the best car wash I've had in the entire Bay Area. I have tried a lot of them, and always been surprised and disappointed in the results, especially for the price. Not anymore. I will bring my car here every single time. They did a great job, the most expensive wash is $22, and my car is spotless. With the long line of cars waiting to be washed on a Friday afternoon, you would think they would whip through them as fast as they could. Not the case. They spend a long time on every car, doing a really good job drying, cleaning and finishing any cleanup left to do that the actual wash process does not remove. I can't believe this place doesn't have a ton of great reviews. The fact that it seems like it is hardly known makes me think the locals want to keep it a secret. Want a GREAT car wash that is actually worth the money? Get it done here. read more

We filled up gas at night. There was only one car at the gas station. The station looked descent.

I'm really sad to write this review as I love all the guys that actually do the work, but to spend $175 cash ($165 service + 10 tip) to only have the interior of a car detailed is pretty ridiculous to start with, but this is my story. I went into to get a quote to have the interior of my daughters Nissan Sentra cleaned. I was originally told $135, but when I went in for the service, I was told $165. I dropped it off at noon and was told it would take approximately 3-3.5 hrs. I called at 5:00 pm as I hadn't heard back. I was told they were closing and my car had been done but no one had called to let me know. It was dark when I arrived 15 minutes later, looked inside and was told it looked like it had just been driven off the showroom floor. The next day when I inspected the car in the daylight I was sadly disappointed as you can see from the photos I posted. I drove back, showed them the car and was told to bring it back in. When I finally had time and it wasn't raining (about a week later). The guy in charge that charged me 165 instead of 135 and told me the car looked fabulous, refused to have the car redone or refund me any monies. Unfortunately I now have to pursue this in court to get any monies back. Really sad :-( read more

I have had a pretty terrible experience with two managers there. Part of the interior of my car was damaged by some soap that they used when they were shampooing the seats. I demonstrated the damage to them - even going so far as to re-test a sample of the soap on the same part, replicating new damage in front of their eyes - but they obstinately and vehemently denied the reality that their soap caused the damage. It was super frustrating and had me furious.. When I went to a local auto repair place to get an estimate to replace the part, they told me that the ownership for that carwash had changed in the past year and that, while the previous owners had been really well respected and reasonable, that the new owner and managers were getting lots of complaints. They'd seen several cars come through their garage with damage caused by the carwash and frustrated customers like me saying that all they got from the carwash managers was denial and frustration. So, I'm not even going there any more. It's a shame, since the guys who worked there did a great job on the rest of the seat cleaning! read more

After they cleaned my car (w/vacuum cleaner) i noticed them that lots of soil, cookies, ... were still around, on the backseats (kids seats), ... I asked them to finish the job, they just refused and gave me a nice answer: "what do you expect me to do for 20 bucks?!?" ... It's not the Shell station I have a problem with, it's Duck's car wash. I miss the old car wash owned by Herb Weiner. It was sold after he passed away. I used to take my car there before Ducks took over, but the last time I took it there, I was afraid some of the equipment (brushes) was going to rip panels off my car, it was so rough. My review is for the car wash, though you can also buy gas here. It didn't seem like there was a discount for buying a car wash with a tank of gas, though that would be a nice touch. In any case, I had no problem pulling in here for a wash on a sunny Sunday afternoon. The "menu" board was clear, and I opted for the $16 wash as I wanted the inside of my windows cleaned and the carpets vacuumed. The cashier was friendly and efficient, as were all of the other staff I encountered. There was a cheaper option for outside wash only, and while I don't remember how much it was I did notice that they will still hand-dry the car afterwards with this wash, a nice touch. They also do detailing I noticed, though I can't speak to the quality. Two guys did a good job of scrubbing down my dirty car before I went through the automatic wash. Upon exiting, I was shown into a vacant vacuuming spot, and I got out of the car to take a spot on the sunny bench to wait. It took a bit longer than I expected, but I have no complaints because 1-4 people were working on my car at any one time. They even took out the floor mats for extra vacuuming! Not a speck of dirt inside or out, and my windows are spotless - I will definitely be back here when I want to treat my car (and myself) to a fabulous wash! One idea for an improvement: a tip jar by the benches would be a nice touch. read more

Expensive. The full service wash is pricey but they do a decent job. The fuel is a solid 15-20 cents higher than the next exit north on the 101. The little area that you pay and buy food has a limited selection of drinks and snacks, especially when considering the size. They do have free air and water though, so it's a great stop if you need to stop in and top off your tires. In the end it's convenient. read more

I have got car wash several times. On two occasions vacuum was turned off before I completed vacuuming my automobile. On another occasion dirty rags were used to dry my car ...which left smudge marks on the windows when I pointed this out to the gentleman drying the car he just ignored me or either he didn't speak English I don't know never answered? read more

This place is a solid establishment to get a car wash. I have been taking my car here for the last 3 years. Is it a super thorough clean? No, but for about twenty bucks for the "Works Wash" it does the job just fine. I would definitely follow the advice of the previous poster and go during non peak hours. Great car wash for a great price - nothing in SF compares! Will 100% be coming back - full service wash inside and out for $25

No Customer Service! This place is run by people who apparently have no desire to earn repeat business. Pulling up to "Full Service" by mistake should mean that a guy pops up next to my window and asks to pump my gas etc., at which point I would back up into "Self Service". This place had no one working their supposed "Full Service", so we pumped our gas without realizing the FIFTY CENT per gallon price difference, and were never, at any point in pumping our own gas, approached by an employee. When we looked at our receipt and realized the situation, we went inside to talk to a manager. The fellow was extremely rude, told us to call the cops and that it was entirely our problem. He would not call a manager or the owner when asked repeatedly to do so. This was a simple customer service situation which could have easily been resolved with some small kindness, a discounted car wash, something, but instead the fellow (who tried to say he was someone else), Manny (?) just argued despite my best efforts at calmly seeking a fair resolution. From what all he did say, I believe this 'accidental full service' situation must happen very frequently. I can only conclude that the extra revenue from this is part of owner Somil Gandhi's business strategy. I will certainly never give this station my business again, and will be sure to point it out as a place to be avoided to all my friends and associates. read more

When we went back today to redeem it, the guy stamped our receipt and then told us we couldn't get our car washed because the receipt was old. This is the best car wash in Marin. I go out of my way to come here every few months and the car wash inside and out was $21 plus tip. Yes you can go to a $40 franchise car wash and get superb service but this is almost half the price and the same level of quality. Right now I'm watching as they take my car mats to a separate place to be washed. They are hand washing all the tires with no extra cost. They are using a separate cleaner inside to clean my messy coffee stains. To people that have had less than quality service - I recommend taking a quick check before you leave and ask them to vacuum up crumbs or something they may have missed. I've never had to do this but yes, there may be a lazy person working from time to time. I HIGHLY recommend this place - as it is not a franchise I like to support independently owned small businesses, and the fact that they're offering reasonable pricing in Marin is such a bonus. read more

I took my baby in to get washed.. 2010 Black Dodge Challenger and when I got to work, I notice scratches from the rear driver side wheel panel to the door.. perfect lines in a row of 6 straight across (2ftx2in). I took my car back in to show them and booommm... not their fault, in all of the twenty years they have never scratched a car, they have Maserati washed their (cause you know a brand new Challenger is just a piece of shit) all the time.. the guy was a real ass and a piece of work. Let me tell you I used to go here many times and am a regular for car wash and gas. Today was the Worse service by management I have ever experienced. The manager Yeyah told me I had to get the works because I had dogs in my car. The regular wash included vacuum and I was going to tip the car washers extra because of the fur, but Yeyah charged me for the more expensive one even when I told him not to. I literally barely moved my car an inch before being interrupted by a male worker walking in front of my car and waving his arms dramatically. He said, "Miss? What are you trying to do?" The guys who work the car wash barely speak or understand English. The cashier is allergic to the words 'Thank you'. I have to have the hand wash, which is the most expensive. One guy washed the car, while the other guys stood around and chatted with him. They could have pitched in because there was nothing else to do, but they prefer talking to working. He rinsed the car after the wash, but left soap on all the wheels and the back end around the bumper. Had to go over it with him twice. The same when they dried and vacuumed. Two guys working, a bunch standing around with their hands in their pocket--doing nothing. No other cars to dry or vacuum. What should have taken 10-15 minutes took 30. I have gone there for years. No problem. I went last week with an Audi A3 that is one month old for a wash. After I drove back to my office I parked and the sun was shining through the windshield and I saw that is was scratched. I went back immediately they were defensive, accusatory, and awful. They said I must have had my windshield wipers on but the scratches were orthogonal and beyond the sweep of the wipers. The person in charge would not even give me his name. It is not the Hispanic workers there. They are so nice if seemingly oppressed. I asked for the name of the owner and the man thrust a card in my hand that said Mohammed. Not so helpful.
