It's so tricky to find a car wash that actually gets all the tiny spaces and places- I found this just driving around San Rafael. We've been coming here for 5+ years! $39 for a large vehicle hand wash, dusting inside, and washing our plastic mats! Could be less if we didn't do a hand wash but we love how detailed everything is! Bring cash tip!! 1000% recommend! read more

Super affordable and efficient! My car was filthy after a crazy road trip. You name it I had it on my vehicle: dirt, bird crap, dead bugs and crazy dog hair and sand throughout. $36 later my car is good as new. They hand scrubbed the exterior before I drove through the wash. Then, vacuumed, washed the windows, and made the rims shine. Not the quickest job but definitely thorough. I'll be back. read more

From the outside, it's kinda hard to locate the place but to me it's kind of like a diamond in the rough because it's a little ugly here but ultimately they really take their time. If you want quality and someone to take care of your car, I would say definitely consider this place. I've been to other places in Marin like the one near downtown and there were super hasty with the clean and much more pricedI was just telling someone that I really appreciated that here they took the time to clean my car which made me feel like I was putting my money to good use. Definitely recommend and will be my go to place as long as I live here. read more

I highly recommend Spotless Car Wash. Staff are very efficient. I was there for only an hour while my car exterior was washed and dried, including wheels and tires, and the car Interior was then cleaned thoroughly. Cost was $36. I left $10 in the tip box, so $46 total. Great value! read more

For $37, this was an amazing clean! I have a very furry dog who sheds all over my car and they got so much of her hair out! They started with a little hand washing before putting us through the automatic car wash, then dried by hand and vacuumed the inside for a good amount of time. All the employees were very pleasant. I'll definitely be back! read more

I have been sitting here for an HOUR waiting for them to finish the car. All I got was the basic! I'd rather do it myself at that point!!

I love this place. I just get the exterior washed. They do a fantastic job! Everyone is very friendly. Thank you!

In a pinch, this would do. But we would not consistently go here. From traveling on the freeway, we had a ton of bugs stuck to the front of the car and the worker said they could do a hand wash so we went for that. But they didn't get all the bugs off They also have the automatic wash that you can run your car through The hand wash was $16.99 It's nice that they dry off the car as well by hand read more

Best deal in town. I'm impressed by how hard all of the people here work. The car looked great after a one week camping road trip and having loaded it to the hills with construction garbage for. Trip to the dump nearby. read more

Hella hard workers and super honest. They found money my mom had lost and was wondering where she lost it at, sure enough it was stuck in between the seats. I will continue patronizing this place. They're always busy, so try to come early on the weekends. They close early on weekdays; I always miss them when I get off around 5pm. They do a great job getting the dog hairs. We have a chihuahua mix who sheds heavily. I don't know what to do without them - SYOY! read more

Great car wash. I did The Works package and they took their time to be very detailed in the cleaning. I'll always come here to wash my car.

Amazing quality work, fast affordable, great location. Managed very helpful always available to answer questions

I have come hear for several years and have several car that I have washed here. I will not be back. Today I went in and noticed all prices have been raised. I asked for the full service wash now $28 and was asked If I want my wheels cleaned for $3 more. I said what does full service mean. With that the owner started yelling at me about how much he has to pay employees read more

I was washing my cars for years , lately the quality of cleaning is significantly lower , bad vacuum spots on leather seats , when a worker in charge was asked about the bad job. , he replied pay $150 and then it will look better. lol read more

Amazing car wash. Inside and out is SO clean. Got the $30 which was incredibly thorough. With a $10 tip it was like a $40 mini detail. Amazing work ethic from the guy cleaning the interior, I had a scummy old leather steering wheel that he somehow cleaned. 10 stars. read more

This is the best Car Wash I have ever been to in my life!! I usually use the top of the line Car Wash choice and have my modified vans detailed inside and out! I am always pleased with the result and the care that each worker takes, being respectful and careful! If you really want a very clean car, this is the car wash to go through! They do have a drive-through as well, but I have never used that. I always get the hand wash.! I highly recommend Spotless Car Wash!! read more

last time i went here, They closed five minutes early! also they wouldnt let me wipe down a new car for my client, you had to pay extra! still worth the drive to novato car wash any given day of the week for great service and friendly attitude! read more

My go to car wash in Marin. Best prices and they do a great job. Have been coming here for year. No frills but who cares

My car was absolutely a mess! I park under a beautiful but annoying oak tree that drops sap, pollen, and bird droppings from it. I didn't cover it for almost a month and it had become pretty gross. Took it here today to be cleaned. Wow! These guys are thorough! I got the super package which included inside vacuuming and full clean. My car looks brand new (almost :-). It was not a quick wash since it took about 30 minutes but my car has never been so clean. I don't mind waiting for that. They did a fantastic job! read more

Horrible customer Service! You get what you pay for. I've been going there for years but unfortunately will not be using them anymore due to one bad experience. Took one of my cars to get cleaned on a Friday and had to wait a long time to get it cleaned. We had to go due to how long they were taking even though the inside was not complete. A few days later I went back to wash another one of my cars and asked if I could bring back the other car so that they can finish the inside. They refused to do anything! They said sorry, we will not be able to make an exception and you're out of luck. I did not think that I was asking for much. All I wanted was to get them to finish what I paid for. I was very surprised as I was a regular throughout the years. I guess they're so busy and profitable that they don't care about customer satisfaction. Very disappointing.... read more

Bad place to wash your car they ripped off my wheel and second time they do it is the fault of the one who is driving to wash your car he doesn't know how to drive and very hurried. read more

The owner might want to spend more time at the car wash because the manager who stands at the register gives terrible service and he's dismissive. He acts like he owns the place and I have been going there for years. I've never complained but this one time I don't think they did a good job on the tires so I asked for a quick touch up. He blew me off and told me he can't help me. I couldn't believe the treatment. I'm NEVER going back! read more

Been coming to this carwash for years, only place that does a good hand wash. Many pendantic 1 stars, but I'm not one to just complain, unless it's BAD. I do agree the main cashier guy is kind of cocky, but whatever. PS: Follow Google's busiest times. It's Sunday at 10:30, didn't honestly think I'd actually be as busy as it is right now. read more

Bad cashier. Friday I went with my partner to wash two cars. Not the first time here but it had been a while since I've been here so, this was completely unexpected. We had a Tesla and a large Sedan. The board said it costs $31 per car. The cashier ask a list of questions about whether we wanted extra items washed. Then the cashier charges $36 and $ 34. We ask why. He says, $36 for the SUV. Then why $34 for the other car. He says to look at the board for the prices. Not all the prices are on the board. After, he says that we ask too many questions and that we should leave. We left. Why bother with this type of service. As a consumer I should be able to ask questions about what I'm paying for. We were not rude or mean, we wanted to just clarify. I think is a normal thing to do. There are a lot of car washes and I won't miss coming here after this treatment. Good luck with this bad attitude cashier. read more

After years of customer loyalty to Spotless Car Wash, I was stunned by their lack of integrity. Last week either an employee or the car wash machine placed a 7 inch scratch on my car. When I came directly home after the car wash, I discovered the scratch was covered up with touch-up paint which did not match the car color. I immediately called them about the damage. The manager was combative and denied the damage. He would not give me the name of the owner, his phone number or a business address where I could mail a complaint letter. I should of been suspicious when they spent close to an hour cleaning my car, they normally take around 20 minutes. The employees were busy applying touch-paint to the scratch. After they painted the scratch, the car wash lady said my car was ready. I asked the lady for her name because I wanted to thank her. She denied telling me her name which was odd to me. In hind site, she knew about the scratch and did not want to be held accountable. I would certainly recognize her. Customers beware. Do not subject yourself to lies, verbal abuse and damage to your car. Invest in a car wash with integrity. Mary K. read more

Took my van to get washed by them this morning. I showed up just after 8am expecting them to be closed but the OPEN sign was illuminated and I was greeted by a friendly guy who quoted me a very reasonable price for doing an entire exterior wash of my sprinter van (large van) and wheels, too. They were done in 10 minutes and it was very easy. This is my new go-to place. read more

They used to make an effort to clean off spots. Now a sponge and lots of water. No soap visible. They said a detail cleaning $$$ needed. Never had this problem. Don't waste your money. I paid 14.00 today for a exterior hand wash. Vilma read more

Great no-frills car wash. They don't give you the high pressure upsell by the cashier like at some places. Can't find a better price on interior exterior. Don't listen to the reviews from crybabies wanting a free detail or special consideration from their one star reviews. read more

When I got body work on my car at Whitmans the guy recommended this place as a safe way to maintain my car's new paint job. Honestly, I didn't know it was here across the street from Ross Dress for Less in San Rafael. This place is a bit cheaper than its competitors and is much quicker. No fancy little shop selling $20 trinkets, no rose garden, or snobby Marinites. Just good quick work on my car. The work is as good or better than my previous car wash and less annoying. Love this place! read more

This place has zero organization cramped, multiple businesses operating in tight quarters. Cashier fussing about me holding up the line and this was my first time here. Asked what forms of payment they accept he said all forms but when I handed him my Amex he said they don't accept it. I usually wash my car myself but the dealership wash bay was out of service so my friend found this spot. Also I paid for the interior/exterior package $27.00 my rear window wasn't cleaned. So disappointed I wouldn't return here again. read more

Disappointed. $30 for Spotful not Spotless. Just go pay $80 to get an ACTUAL spotless clean! Don't even waste your money here.

They do a GREAT job here!! I have been coming here for over 10 years & have never had anything but perfect results.

Used to come here all the time, and loved it; this will be the last. The whole idea of going to a car wash is to get the car clean. . . .. There's two guys doing both the "all hand wash" and the pre-wash before you go through the tunnel, AND they have to run into the tunnel to do the top of the car from ladders. They have no time to actually do anything well. Not their fault, really, they are literally running from place to place and trying hard. The "tunnel" is barely working; it just squirts some soapy water on the car, rinses it off, then blow-dries (sort of); there's no real point to it. My car wasn't even rinsed; the back half was still covered in soap. I asked them to rinse it off, they just shrugged and wiped it with a damp rag. Interior was sort of gone-over; lots of missed and dirty places. When i got home, I found the exterior really dirty in many places. Each time I've come here lately has been worse than the time before; more things broken and run-down, the employees more harried and rushed, the job less done. They can't even put a shutoff nozzle on the hose; the employees were crimping it to temporarily stop the flow. I appreciated the price, but now it would be a deal only if free. I'll miss them - the way they used to be, not how it is now. read more

So, I originally posted a 5 star review within the last year. I was a consistent customer of this place and it was ideal for quality, time, and cost. Unfortunately, as a returning customer I decided to get my leather conditioned on top of my usual "the works" service. I told them I had an appointment in the next hour and inquired about timing- they said they could get it done in 45 minutes- great. After my car is done I immediately drive off as I had an appointment right after. I realized when I was right down the street that they took off the coating of my screen above the center console. It was wrecked. I took a picture (attached) and called a few times and nobody answered. I went the next morning to see if they could fix it or offer me a refund. I had proof of the screen before it was done and after. Coincidentally, I had taken a picture of a song playing and sent it to a friend- besides the point- I get there the next morning receipt in hand and tell the guy what happened. They are very busy and ask me to park next to a car towards the wash. I park and wait. I have never been so fully gaslit in my life until yesterday. The guy comes up and sees- proceeds to try to wipe it off with a microfiber towel- surprise surprise it doesn't come off because they took the coating off. He then tells me that they never wipe the screens and that I ruined it, that it's absolutely impossible that it would happen. He calls another guy over that apparently worked on my car yesterday, I know for a fact the guy wasn't anywhere near my car as I watched the whole time. This guy proceeds to tell me that they DID wipe the screen but they just used a towel. Great, conflicting information. So I ask for the boss's number. Guy #1 comes over and calls- boss proceeds to tell me that I am a liar even though I have proof, that I scratched the screen myself. Now, i'm not someone who looks for handouts- so I tell the guy I just want them to fix the problem they caused and at the very least apologize. He refuses, tells me it's impossible his employees could make this mistake and that he owes me nothing. They lost a returning customer, and a solid review. I won't be going here again. I'm incredibly disappointed by the lack of accountability, the desire for customer retention, and outright refusal to fix a problem they caused. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. Took my 2024 Toyota to get cleaned in and out. When I got to my car the front windshield was broken. I had spilled a smoothie on the backseat floor, and soaked up what I could with towels, an hour before going to have my car washed. All of the service options included vacuum cleaning (none mentioned shampooing), so I chose the basic #1-Full Service option. Upon exiting my car after going through the (wimpy) exterior wash tunnel, I pointed out the spot to the worker & he acknowledged it. Halfway thru I saw the 2 workers consulting w their boss, presumably abt how to handle the spot. Boss returns to his post, workers continue & in a few minutes call me to say my car is ready. I handed one of them a whopping tip, assuming they had gone the extra mile to deal w the spill. But no, they hadn't touched it. Boss should have approached me abt my options after their consultation, at which point I could have paid for extra service. Instead he said nothing, they did nothing & he was extremely bullheaded & rude when I approached him abt it. We argued (in English & Spanish) abt it & an arriving customer also tried to help me, but to no avail. I attempted to clean it myself using small towels fm their work station, which made workers & boss alike very agitated, as though the precious towels could not be washed & replaced. I feel that this manager/owner whatever he is maintains a tyrannical & unreasonably harsh environment for worker's & customers alike. Boo hiss. read more

Really disappointed that the folks here opened a *sealed* bag of jerky and took some out. They could've just asked and I would've given them some, but instead the guy with a shiny grill just kept ducking into the car, then would look over at me and smirk, while they pilfered my stuff. RUDE RUDE RUDE. Now I'm wondering if anything else got stolen. I left a big tip, too. Really uncool. I suggest you patronize some other business. read more
