Hella hard workers and super honest. They found money my mom had lost and was wondering where she lost it at, sure enough it was stuck in between the seats. I will continue patronizing this place. They're always busy, so try to come early on the weekends. They close early on weekdays; I always miss them when I get off around 5pm. They do a great job getting the dog hairs. My car was absolutely a mess! I park under a beautiful but annoying oak tree that drops sap, pollen, and bird droppings from it. I didn't cover it for almost a month and it had become pretty gross. Took it here today to be cleaned. Wow! These guys are thorough! I got the super package which included inside vacuuming and full clean. My car looks brand new (almost :-). It was not a quick wash since it took about 30 minutes but my car has never been so clean. I don't mind waiting for that. They did a fantastic job! read more

Horrible customer Service! You get what you pay for. I've been going there for years but unfortunately will not be using them anymore due to one bad experience. Took one of my cars to get cleaned on a Friday and had to wait a long time to get it cleaned. We had to go due to how long they were taking even though the inside was not complete. A few days later I went back to wash another one of my cars and asked if I could bring back the other car so that they can finish the inside. They refused to do anything! They said sorry, we will not be able to make an exception and you're out of luck. I did not think that I was asking for much. All I wanted was to get them to finish what I paid for. Bad cashier. Friday I went with my partner to wash two cars. Not the first time here but it had been a while since I've been here so, this was completely unexpected. We had a Tesla and a large Sedan. The board said it costs $31 per car. The cashier ask a list of questions about whether we wanted extra items washed. Then the cashier charges $36 and $ 34. We ask why. He says, $36 for the SUV. Then why $34 for the other car. He says to look at the board for the prices. Not all the prices are on the board. After, he says that we ask too many questions and that we should leave. We left. Why bother with this type of service. As a consumer I should be able to ask questions about what I'm paying for. We were not rude or mean, we wanted to just clarify. I think is a normal thing to do. After years of customer loyalty to Spotless Car Wash, I was stunned by their lack of integrity. Last week either an employee or the car wash machine placed a 7 inch scratch on my car. When I came directly home after the car wash, I discovered the scratch was covered up with touch-up paint which did not match the car color. I immediately called them about the damage. The manager was combative and denied the damage. He would not give me the name of the owner, his phone number or a business address where I could mail a complaint letter. I should of been suspicious when they spent close to an hour cleaning my car, they normally take around 20 minutes. The employees were busy applying touch-paint to the scratch. After they painted the scratch, the car wash lady said my car was ready. I asked the lady for her name because I wanted to thank her. She denied telling me her name which was odd to me. In hind site, she knew about the scratch and did not want to be held accountable. I would certainly recognize her. Customers beware. I showed up just after 8am expecting them to be closed but the OPEN sign was illuminated and I was greeted by a friendly guy who quoted me a very reasonable price for doing an entire exterior wash of my sprinter van (large van) and wheels, too. Used to come here all the time, and loved it; this will be the last. The whole idea of going to a car wash is to get the car clean. . . .. There's two guys doing both the "all hand wash" and the pre-wash before you go through the tunnel, AND they have to run into the tunnel to do the top of the car from ladders. They have no time to actually do anything well. Not their fault, really, they are literally running from place to place and trying hard. The "tunnel" is barely working; it just squirts some soapy water on the car, rinses it off, then blow-dries (sort of); there's no real point to it. My car wasn't even rinsed; the back half was still covered in soap. I asked them to rinse it off, they just shrugged and wiped it with a damp rag. Interior was sort of gone-over; lots of missed and dirty places. When i got home, I found the exterior really dirty in many places. Each time I've come here lately has been worse than the time before; more things broken and run-down, the employees more harried and rushed, the job less done. They can't even put a shutoff nozzle on the hose; the employees were crimping it to temporarily stop the flow. I appreciated the price, but now it would be a deal only if free. When I got body work on my car at Whitmans the guy recommended this place as a safe way to maintain my car's new paint job. Honestly, I didn't know it was here across the street from Ross Dress for Less in San Rafael. This place is a bit cheaper than its competitors and is much quicker. No fancy little shop selling $20 trinkets, no rose garden, or snobby Marinites. Just good quick work on my car. The work is as good or better than my previous car wash and less annoying. This place has zero organization cramped, multiple businesses operating in tight quarters. Cashier fussing about me holding up the line and this was my first time here. Asked what forms of payment they accept he said all forms but when I handed him my Amex he said they don't accept it. I usually wash my car myself but the dealership wash bay was out of service so my friend found this spot. Also I paid for the interior/exterior package $27.00 my rear window wasn't cleaned. So, I originally posted a 5 star review within the last year. I was a consistent customer of this place and it was ideal for quality, time, and cost. Unfortunately, as a returning customer I decided to get my leather conditioned on top of my usual "the works" service. I told them I had an appointment in the next hour and inquired about timing- they said they could get it done in 45 minutes- great. After my car is done I immediately drive off as I had an appointment right after. I realized when I was right down the street that they took off the coating of my screen above the center console. It was wrecked. I took a picture (attached) and called a few times and nobody answered. I went the next morning to see if they could fix it or offer me a refund. I had proof of the screen before it was done and after. Coincidentally, I had taken a picture of a song playing and sent it to a friend- besides the point- I get there the next morning receipt in hand and tell the guy what happened. They are very busy and ask me to park next to a car towards the wash. I park and wait. I have never been so fully gaslit in my life until yesterday. The guy comes up and sees- proceeds to try to wipe it off with a microfiber towel- surprise surprise it doesn't come off because they took the coating off. He then tells me that they never wipe the screens and that I ruined it, that it's absolutely impossible that it would happen. He calls another guy over that apparently worked on my car yesterday, I know for a fact the guy wasn't anywhere near my car as I watched the whole time. This guy proceeds to tell me that they DID wipe the screen but they just used a towel. Great, conflicting information. So I ask for the boss's number. Guy #1 comes over and calls- boss proceeds to tell me that I am a liar even though I have proof, that I scratched the screen myself. Now, i'm not someone who looks for handouts- so I tell the guy I just want them to fix the problem they caused and at the very least apologize. He refuses, tells me it's impossible his employees could make this mistake and that he owes me nothing. They lost a returning customer, and a solid review. I won't be going here again. I'm incredibly disappointed by the lack of accountability, the desire for customer retention, and outright refusal to fix a problem they caused. read more

I had spilled a smoothie on the backseat floor, and soaked up what I could with towels, an hour before going to have my car washed. All of the service options included vacuum cleaning (none mentioned shampooing), so I chose the basic #1-Full Service option. Upon exiting my car after going through the (wimpy) exterior wash tunnel, I pointed out the spot to the worker & he acknowledged it. Halfway thru I saw the 2 workers consulting w their boss, presumably abt how to handle the spot. Boss returns to his post, workers continue & in a few minutes call me to say my car is ready. I handed one of them a whopping tip, assuming they had gone the extra mile to deal w the spill. But no, they hadn't touched it. Boss should have approached me abt my options after their consultation, at which point I could have paid for extra service. Instead he said nothing, they did nothing & he was extremely bullheaded & rude when I approached him abt it. We argued (in English & Spanish) abt it & an arriving customer also tried to help me, but to no avail. I attempted to clean it myself using small towels fm their work station, which made workers & boss alike very agitated, as though the precious towels could not be washed & replaced. I feel that this manager/owner whatever he is maintains a tyrannical & unreasonably harsh environment for worker's & customers alike. Boo hiss. read more

They spilled cleaning solution all over my Tesla seats and when I asked the head guy if he could have someone clean it up, he told me I didn't pay for them to clean the seats. Three stars for a 'meh' job. I paid $29 and ended up with a dripping wet car, bird poop still on the paint, and tree debris in the windshield well. I drove just down the street then went over the still wet car with my own terry cloth. The bird poop came off with one swipe and the tree needles brushed out easily. A little elbow grease makes a difference. A car wash that gets the job done efficiently, not thoroughly, leaving your car clean "enough" for a quick wash. Pros: additional hand washing/drying, quick Cons: tough bird poop stations may remain, soap residue, average machine wash I have visited this car wash twice, once with an SUV and with a compact car the other time. Each time settling with the fact that my car is clean "enough", despite having soap residue and bits of bird poop. I appreciate the fact that the car wash includes a session where two people manually scrub my car with soap water before entering the machine. However, the machine was not significant in cleaning the car as it only rinsed off the soap from the manual scrub. For the price of $10 for an exterior wash it may come off a bit pricey, but I feel it is paying for the manual labor.
