We have had 2 cars under the unlimited package for years. Today, I didn't need a wash, just to use the vacuum. While I was cleaning my car an unhinged employee raced over and screamed at me for not going through the car wash first. I told him we had 2 memberships and he continued to scream about how I "must not understand..." Well, I do understand what it feels like to be berated and don't appreciate it. I then went through the car wash and back to the vacuums and he just stared at me the whole time! WTH! Must be some strict rules only he understands. This place is good for a monthly upkeep wash, but I find that it usually misses a few spots. For instance, it's not the best at cleaning wheels and usually leaves a lot of brake dust on the wheel. Came here yesterday as my car was sooooo dirty from the drive up the 5 fwy from Socal last week. I pulled up and saw a line about 5 cars deep and thought to myself, "Oh, I'll be here for 30 mins at least". Little did I know they get you in and out faaaast! The line dissipated in about 5 minutes, and my wash felt like less than 2 minutes. Best part, my car is so clean! It was a great experience! A bit on the pricey side for a wash, as I opted for the $22 wax and seal, but truly a good wash and the efficiency and speed are priceless! read more

Two weeks ago, I took in my vehicle to get a wash as usual and when I got out of the wash, I noticed that the trim of my vehicle was missing. I let one of the employees know right away and surely he found the missing piece inside the wash. At first the employee did not want to make a claim on his end. Claiming that my vehicle was old. I told him that I needed the info to the claims department and when I insisted he took down my information and did the report. I send an email requesting my vehicle to be fixed and I didn't get a response from them until two weeks later. Surely, they said that my vehicle was "old" and they didn't take any responsibility in the damage that was done to my vehicle. I am very disappointed and angry because they just simply won't fix it because my vehicle is a 2021 and it falls in the 5 year period that to them its an "old" vehicle. I would understand if my vehicle was 10 or 15 years old but a 5 year old vehicle should be fixed. Just be careful to all customers that have an "old" car, if it gets damaged Bluewave won't take responsibility. So be careful when taking in your vehicle for a wash. It's better to pay a bit more at another car wash where employees actually hand wash your car and feel reassured that your vehicle won't be damaged. Hopefully, they change their ridiculous policy that a vehicle is old because it's been five year. read more

OMG Alert: Treated very badly for no reason! Actually felt discriminatory I'm a nanny & have been going here for several months to wash family car with kids in car (6&8 years old). Today I tall male staff member was standing by the curb where you pull in. Normally no one is standing where you pull in! When I didn't acknowledge him & roll my window down fast enough(since kids were talking to me & listening to a story), the man got very angry & stormed off even though I did roll my window down. I didn't understand what he wanted from me. I was just following the line like normal. Then when I got to where you pay he was telling the other staff to not help or let me through the car wash! At this point the kids were confused and getting very distressed as was I, so I put car in park & got out to get his name. He said it was Luis & told us to leave! I was stunned and sick to my stomach. Never in my life have I been treated this way in a public place where customer service should be great or at minimal good. There was NO REASON FOR HIS BEHAVIOR EXCEPT DISCRIMINATION. Very sad we are now living in such a divided country where people are such haters. This man should be fired. Local family to never return. Went there again today to give them another try. They have a sign posted on their property by the street as you drive up, it reads, "Unlimited for the price of 1 carwash". That isn't true, it is false advertising. When you drive up, the sign reads, "single car wash $13, Unlimited $26.99". I mentioned it to the man at the pay machine, he acted like he was surprised and would check the prices on the screen; he knew that the sign is false advertising. The last time I was there, they packed cars so tightly into the car wash, that the car behind me was about to hit my bumper, so I scooted out quickly before the green light said go, when it was drying my car. read more

Blue Wave is a reliable drive through car wash. You drive up (expect to wait in a little line, but it moves fast), then pick which wash you want- I usually pick the middle of the road one- and then pull into the car wash. It is certainly NOT touchless. The brushes and all will touch your car to clean it like the old fashioned car washes did. But for me, this is fine! It does a pretty good job, then you pull through and there is a strong dryer. You can then pull into a spot on your right hand side where you can vacuum your car and use air to clean out the nooks in your car to get it extra clean. You can take out your car mats, hang them up and vacuum them too! They usually will give you a couple towels that you can use to finish drying your car because it isn't perfectly dry coming out of the automatic wash. (And sometimes if there are little spots, I use this damp cloth to wash off those spots!) If you're willing to put in a little work and vacuum your own car, you can have a pretty clean car after this wash! read more

Really efficient and budget friendly car wash. The line was long upon arriving on a Saturday mid-day, but they moved everyone along suprisingly fast! The prices were lower than my go-to East Bay car wash and the wash itself was superior. It definitely did the job. I am not a Marin resident but was up there for an event and hadn't had time all week for a much needed car wash. With some time to spare, I checked out BlueWave as it was conveniently located right off the 101 not far over the Richmond/San Rafael bridge. They need to come over to the East Bay! Friendly staff but the car wash doesn't clean my car completely.. I had to ask for a towel to wipe the left over dirt on my car.. I've never been asked for help to wipe my car down which was nice, but what caught me off guard was that the attendant opened my trunk. Is that something they normally do when helping you wipe down your car? I thought she was only wiping the body of the car not opening the trunk and wiping the inside too.. if she asked about opening it and wiping then it would be different i guess. It's a nice quick conveyor car wash place and they have vacuums, air hoses, and microfiber cloths to use when you're done getting it washed. They also have employees walking around wiping the car down with microfibers as well while you vacuum your car! José has helped me wipe down my car twice now and is very sweet and very helpful. It is also one of the cheapest express car washes in Marin too, only $13 for a wash. Not bad for less than $15 and free vacuums and air hoses! read more

While we were cleaning the car, the site manager, Luis Cayax, approached us wearing a body camera. He told us he was recording and accused me of using the window washer fluid to clean our car's carpet--something I absolutely did not do. He then threatened to cancel my membership, call the police, and file a complaint against me, claiming I had stayed more than 10 minutes in the vacuum area. This accusation is unreasonable, as many customers routinely exceed 10 minutes, and I believe his aggressive behavior was an attempt to cover up prior misconduct by his employees harassing my girlfriend and asking for her number. DONT RECOMMEND AT ALL. Now I will have to pay thousands to paint all the front. The car wash totally scratched my car. The manager who assisted me right after told me he totally saw that and apologized. A week later the customer support called me telling that I was the one that scratched my car while I wiped it (what is absolutely non sense but I didn't even reach the front of the car before I noticed it). They were SUPER rude on the phone telling that my case was closed and denied and I would need to pay for the repair. I have been using that service for a while and never had a problem but after this situation I will never come back. read more

I come by every other month for a wash, & it's a good facility! I agree other posts saying how crowded it is. My past two visits I haven't even been able to park to vacuum the inside of my car. I've noticed cars still vacuuming when I'm lined up in traffic with 5 cars ahead of me BEFORE I can actually get up on the lot. When I pull out of the dryer I still see these cars parked!! I'm not gonna wait for a spot and congest the flow of traffic so I just go. If this becomes a recurring issue, I may seek a new go-to for my car washes. read more

I've enjoyed my monthly subscription. Easy and fast to keep my car clean inside and out. Today however was not good. I was cleaning the inside of the car, vacuuming etc. When an employee I haven't encountered before comes up and starts yelling at me that the sign says 10 minutes max and I had been there 30 minutes. I had been there barely 15 minutes max. He wouldn't listen and was very obnoxious to me insisting there was some way in which he knew I had been there for more than 30 minutes. I am cancelling my membership here after having the highest level unlimited package for over 4 years. They have taken on too many people - EVERY single time you go, I'm talking 9am, 1230pm, 145pm, 230pm, 720pm there is a huge line of about 10 cars. This line goes into the road and turning lane and is incredible unsafe. It's ridiculous to pay $40 a month and have to wait in line to wash your car for 30 minutes at a minimum every single time you want to go. The employees are whatever, no one really smiles or is very friendly. The car wash did pop off my entire right side mirror once and they did fully replace it and pay for all damages easily but that is the bare minimum. Of course they should have done that, so no points for that. read more

I'm a long term, loyal customer at your San Rafael location. I've been going since the grand opening. I'm also an unlimited customer. I've always been very pleased with the quality of wash, and especially the friendly staff who I have developed a rapport with over the years. Today I'm updating my review. On Sunday, May 11, as usual, it was pretty busy. I'm an Uber driver, so I'm there about 3 times a week, and my car is never very dirty, so I'm usually in and out pretty quickly. Today I was near completion when I was approached by an employee I didn't recognize. He was carrying a sign and aggressively pointed to it reminding me that there is a 10 minute limit at the vacuums. (I know the rules.) When I told him I hadn't been there for 10 minutes, and I was almost through, he snapped back, "detailing your car is not allowed. I need you to leave," pointing to the line of cars, which I waited in just moments before. Meanwhile, your staff is handing out towels for customers to detail their cars (I have my own system with my own towels.), and the slot next to me was empty, with no one waiting. His lack of tact and professionalism really took me back. He is completely out of sync with the rest of the staff.I left there feeling very pissed off and searching for another option. One hell of an experience I had at Blue wave on September 13 around 3 I went in to get a cash wash as any other person would do when you notice your car is dirty. I went in and paid 12$ for the service they provided and I wish I was lying but my mirror got yanked off my car while in the car wash. The machine stopped for a couple second but as it stopped the blades were on my driver side mirror. When the machine started up again it completely took my mirror off leaving it hanging there and I couldn't do anything until the car wash ended. LIKE ARE YOU KIDDING ME. Not only did I talk to Luis there manger on duty at the time. He basically told me that any damage your car has taken has to go through HR for compensation. Luis told me that it should take 1 week to get a message or phone call from HR. It's been 2 weeks and I haven't heard a word from them since the incident. If this isn't a reason not to spend your money here expecting your car to be clean this is clear evidence to avoid this place at all cost, if you don't want your car to come out with damages. read more

First time to car wash today. Kinda chaotic pulling in because cars are coming out of the car wash as you pull in. On a good note, was able to get free car wash right away as there was no line. I parked afterwards to vacuum car. Benny dried my car off as I vacuumed inside. It's nice because they have place where you can attach car mat to vacuum. Another downside was pulling out of parking spot after vacuuming. If guy that worked there didn't guide me out I would have had hard time. Not worth the wait or expense. I do not recommend. The wait time was longer than the service, which is clear indication of terrible service. I didn't lose a rear view mirror but I'm super surprised. The antenna did make it! $20 for full service. Quality does not match the value. The Jet Dryers are not working. As a result, you'll get streaks and not shine. Also I paid for a tire shine but seems as though they ran out of the shine or something as my tires definitely didn't have any tire shine applied. Gero gero gero. (This man is NOT manager material) Who made this guy a manager? He's Very aggressive, defensive, condescending, Arrogant, unprofessional... I have had a membership here for years and this car wash does not properly clean my car and I had started to notice little scratches after washes (which I reported). It gets the job done when in rush. For that reason I recently canceled my membership and just pay as I go. I come in today 5/20/2022 and pay for a $20 wash and notice, while vacuuming, that there is still stuff stuck on the car in a few different places. After I finish I drive back threw to inform the attendant standing there that my car is still dirty. It's Gero, the manager. (Walking up on the right hand side with a mad look on his face.) I explain the situation He basically tells me don't expect for my car to be clean when I come here because this is a "express wash and not a full-service wash". I informed him that I have been coming here for years and that this is the reason why I cancelled my membership and that other express washes get the dirt off just fine. When I told him that other express car washes I've been to get my car clean just fine, he aggressively told me to go there. What kind of manager tells a customer to go elsewhere after simply expressing that the service was lacking that day. He literally went back and forth with me until I reminded him how a manager is supposed to handle these types of situations and he finally let me go through again, which I is normal practice. While going through the car wash, the way I was handled by Gero did not sit well with me. So when I exited the car wash I parked and asked an employee for managements information. Gero came over to give me his business card and inform me that the whole interaction was recorded, as if he was threatening me lol. I said I'm sure they would love to see your encounter with customers and how you are directing business elsewhere. He is arrogant, entitled, and has a serious superiority complex. He is not a people person and definitely should not be a manager anywhere. Maybe it's small man complex, who knows, but it is definitely unprofessional and unacceptable for a manager. A good manager would at least make sure all vacuums are working and not broken and laying on the ground. I have a recording of my own just in case ;) read more

I moved my car to a different state and cancelled via the website. The website does not allow you to see/edit your membership. I noticed that they have continued to charge my account. The people here don't do anything, it just hooks your car and pulls it through. There are no indications saying you are hooked or unhooked. You'd think the one person manning the system would stop and go with the vehicles, in the past when ive paid for the more expensive wash it goes over my car a few times with the fans it didn't today and whoever was manning the system rolled the car behind me into mine. This place is awful you'll get a better service at any gas station car wash. read more
