The screen just said "wait a moment" and never activated to get my gas. Somehow it turned into an additional 30 minutes counting their cash and verifying instead of them just fixing the issue and switching pumps or giving me a refund. Normally Chevron/Shell is my preferred fuel. But had to stop here on my way to Oakland. I used to avoid this place since it's so hard to get in and get out because of traffic on both streets. Luckily traffic wasn't that bad. Kind of spacious gas station. They offer contact-less payment option in gas station - unfortunately it wasn't working. Nice and clean place. Oooooh, look at this squeaky clean ARCO! Okay, maybe it's not totally squeaky clean, but it's better than most ARCOs. Nice and spacious, with the new generation of pumps that are not stuck on "With Paymedia, you have the power for your success." Prices are similar to the one on Stevenson. I've found this one to be more convenient for 880 drivers than the Stevenson location. Not only is it closer to the freeway and on a faster road (Auto Mall), the surrounding streets make it easier to go in any direction when you leave. That is definitely NOT the case on Stevenson, so this gives the Grimmer one another star. I haven't been in the AM/PM yet, hope to do so soon. I've found that the low reviews on Yelp concern the AM/PM and not the gas station portion. This ARCO is a winner. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Came here from San Francisco to get gas and return a rental car in Fremont. With it being 11pm, no restrooms in the area were open. Came by to fill up the other day as this is the cheapest Top Tier gas station in Fremont. This Arco features pay at the pump, perfect for debit card or Arco Gift Card Users. Fuel pump was decrepit and required numerous attempts to fill up my tank. My bucket of water was missing its squeegee... No one expects good service from gas stations or their employees. I get that. But this place by far has the worst people working. They have attitude. They aren't helpful. I couldn't believe the way they were talking to customers. I don't know if they're upset at life but maybe that attitude is the reason you're working minimum wage at a gas station. Fix the attitude and you might get a real job one day. Cashier told me she can't exchange my propane can because it's not Blue Rhino. Went to Lowe's down the street and they exchanged it for me. Bought gas Wed 4/3/13 at Arco because I had cash in my wallet & was in the area. It's an easy on/off from AutoMall Pkwy when you don't want to deal with Costco gasline. Came here at 12:25am and was refused service by the male employee working the register. I was confused with another workers hand gesture and did not know if she was calling me over to pay or not and had commented to her it was confusing. Apparently this was rude and disrespectful to the male worker, he refused service to me for asking a question. Interesting thing as well is if you are non Latino you are treated differently and more rudely. I've been refused service 2 times for no other reason then asking questions from being confused with who to pay.... If anyone has information on the appropriate people to contact please do share. As the male clerk refused to give me corporate number and has only given me a manager name Haydy Martinez who just so happens was not there both times he has refused service, not even sure this is even a manager or someone who even works there. Well as far a gas stations goes this one is not bad, what make this a place I would return to, it is within a few miles from my work and I can get gas before heading out. The prices are compatible, but they are not the most expensive or cheapest, just right down the middle. The station is always clean and well maintained, the washer fluid is filled and the garbage can are maintained too, so in a gas station there is not much more I can ask for. read more

The green tea soda has surpassed 7Eleven's banana slurpee as the most disgusting fountain drink ever, and whatever came out of the diet doctor pepper spout it was not diet doctor pepper. Cups were in the wrong tubes, small straws in both bins and no long straws. Outside, one gas pump couldn't read a credit card, and signs were inconclusive on whether or not they take credit... Jolie & Nick Employees like these two, are what cause reoccurring business. This place employees winners with can do attitudes. Other AMPM's in the area, should probably model their hiring around the parameters that this owner does. Around 5pm on 02/14/2018 I went into this AMPM for flowers yesterday. I walk in, grab the last remaining bouquet, and proceed to drip water all over the floor. It looked like I emptied the bucket. I heard " I hear that!" to which I responded, "Kind of hard not too huh?", the employee smiles and immediately goes to get a mop. I smile and ask if I may clean the mess myself, to which she responds "that's ok! I work here, I'll clean it for you", I asked if she was sure, to which she smiled and said "that's alright, I'm glad to clean it up". I let her know I appreciated that and asked her name. I thanked her again. This happened in less than 60 seconds. Jolie is a valuable employee. To the owner of this AMPM, I hope you realize how valuable this employee is. An attitude like Jolie has, will take her to greater jobs, quickly. I'd invest in her, heavily. There's more! So I'm standing at the register. I buy the flowers. Realize there's only one flower still alive. Here's the conversation after I had already paid: Me: "There's only one flower still alive man" Him: "Would you like me to get you new flowers?" Me: "No way! you don't any more flowers in back!" Him: "Nah, we don't" Me: "Well, could you help me out bro?" Him: "How can I help?" Me: "You can throw the rest of these flowers away, after I take the one that's still alive, that'd be awesome." Him: "You know what, I'd be glad to, I'm going to refund these flowers as well." Me: "No way" Him:"Yes, of course, they're all dead anyway and you only want the one, so we couldn't do that to you." Me: "What's your name?" Him:"Nick" To the owner: This is next level customer service. I didn't ask for anything other than to have the dead flowers thrown away. Nick went beyond what a "normal" employee would do. He identified a customer; with what seemed to be an issue; provided a solution in a quickly and efficient manner, then executed to his fullest ability. Nick could be a customer service rep, that kind of can do attitude will take him far. I would consider investing in Nick, just as heavily as Jolie. read more

This Arco tends to match the prices of the Costco gas station down the road so if you are in a hurry, this is the place to get your gas for the same price. Convenient to 880 so you can easily hop on and hop back on the freeway in a hurry if need be. Often cheaper than the gas stations down on Stevenson Blvd. For example, recently, the 87 Octane gas was 6 cents cheaper at the Arco on Grimmer than the Arco gas station on Stevenson. Lots of gas pumps, which is a plus when you are in a hurry as there is often a open pump or a pump open after a short wait. Be sure to have cash in hand otherwise be prepared to pay an additional fee to use your bankcard. read more

This Arco I don't come to often because it's kind of out the way from me. It can be a bit hard getting into here from the street since it does get really crowded here. I only come here if I'm in the area, but they do have cheap gas along with Arco on Stevenson. It's one of the cheapest ones in Fremont. Had an interesting experience at this particular location. My family and I went in to buy gas and coffee. I go to the register to purchase my coffee and the man at the cash register asked me if I wanted to donate to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. I responded "no thank you!" Right after I replied, he says okay that'll be (whatever it costed) "weirdo" but mumbles the mumble part. I didn't catch it the first time. I went back to the store because my uncle wanted a coffee, too! So I went back in and he calls me to his register but mumbles "weirdo" I can take you here! As soon as the transaction is finished he mumbles again but this time "Get the fuck out" here's your change! Taking a look at all the lower reviews on this page and it looks like I'm not the only one that experienced horrible customer experience. LMAO This happened on June 3 at around 9AM. I come to this station to get my gasoline and, sometimes, for a refill cup-of-coffee. This station is cash or debit card only. The bad part of using a debit card is being charged an extra 45-cents for using it. Prices for gasoline is very competitive compared to other stations. The location is convenient as it is near both the 880 and 680 Freeway. There are a lot of pumps and it is never a long wait. The lines in the store can be long at times but still acceptable. I have never tried any of the foods (burgers, hotdogs, etc.) offered in the store - there are many restaurants nearby like Wendy's, McDonald's, etc., for meals. I like coming here for my gasoline but do wish they take credit cards - sometimes it is a hassle to carry cash. read more

One of the best gas prices if not the best gas price in Fremont. Easy access from Grimmer and Auto Mall. Nice and spacious Arco with an AM/PM . The AM/PM is quite small but works for a quick slurpy fill-up or soda. What impresses me about this place is the gas price, easy access and its not packed all the time. They have machines at the pumps that will swallow your bills, or you can go inside the AM/PM and wait in line, give some cash to the guy, then have to go back in because you overpaid and need a refund. Or...use an ATM card and pay a minimum 35 cent fee. By the way, for comparisons sake to see if it's worth it, the current price for regular here is $3.75 (same as Costco), and the price at Beacon and Valero down the street is $3.87, so if you have cash, you can save 12 cents a gallon shopping here. read more

Been coming to this arco since I started driving, while Roberto who was an old worker who treated many people with disrespect, I was glad to see him relieved from his position there. But what I have seen is the customer service of a newer employee named Brandon. I have seen the customer service shoot only upward since his employment. Every time I walk in to a smile from Brandon, even if he is missing some teeth. I rarely come into the store at other gas stations, but Brandon makes me want to come in. I've never had to go inside to pay for my gas, I usually stop at this location when I have cash on hand because it is a few cents less if you pay with cash.
