My wife's credit card was stuck in the slot of one of the gas pumps. She asked the attendant inside for assistance getting the card out, but the only thing the attendant did was give her a lot of attitude and disrespect her. Management can do themselves a favor and discipline their rude employee or replace them. Until then, there are much better gas station options only a block or two away in both directions along Fremont Boulevard...5 of them in fact! read more

** Attendant: Soad ** I am a restaurant manager close by to this restaurant, so I get full gas tank from this gas station literally 2-4 times/week since it's super close to my work. I always stop at one of the pumps, pay with my debit card, get gas and leave. I never had to deal with any attendant here until today. Today on 07/14/2020 at 3pm. I got here to buy gas and stopped at pump 6. I inserted my debit card and waited, when I saw the prompt on the screen "remove card" I did what anyone else would do, removed my card. The screen froze there for about 2-3minutes. I re-inserted my card and my card got stuck. It won't come out. I waited few minutes. So I decided to go to the cash window and ask for help. I went to the window and lady with name tag: SOAD said yes? I explained her what happened. She cut me off and said that's how the system is. I explained it to her that I have been waiting for few minutes now and my card is still stuck. She showed me her hand(owner: you can check gas stations camera) and said go back and read what screen says. SHE WAS SOO RUDE AND AGGRESSIVE. I was like you don't have to be so rude. She said can you read? She then raised her voice so much. I was shocked. May be she was having a bad day. She was obviously frustrated with something before I talked to her. All I want to say is, this is not how you talk to other people, especially when they are addressing you with so much respect. I called the gas station hoping to speak to the manager, she answered and she refused to put me through and insisted she's the manager. I don't like writing reviews about employees in general. But today, i just had to. Honestly, I have never came across such a foul mouth person in my life. To Soad: You are not a good human being. If this is how you treat people who address you with respect and ask you a general question while you're working your job and are obligated to answer, you seriously need help ma'am. Soad just cost this gas station my regular business and ofcourse I am going to tell everyone not to give their business to this gas station anymore. For a place that charges 20 cents more than the gas station on the other side of the plaza the customer service is atrocious. The manager or clerk is rude and this place does not deserve anyone's business which is probably why it seems like it's declining. The pumps said please pay inside and I went in and it was empty. Rude lady came out with no mask on speaking in my face repeating that the systems down as if I knew that already. Ask if it's going to be back up and she ignores me and locks the door on me. I have been coming here for 20 years my entire family has been! After today I will make sure I and whomever I know never comes here again!!!! I put in $20 in the machine outside like I do most of the time! It went through I went to pump gas and it was not working! It was pump #6! I thought nothing of it and walked inside to tell the attendant working. Before I finished my sentence she started raising her voice at me yelling and saying I didn't put any money. I was so shocked!!! I told her stop yelling at me I'm not your dog and talk to me like a normal human. She started ranting and saying I didn't put money or I hit the wrong pump number! So I said ok if I did hit the wrong number can you help me and and check which pump has $20 unpaid! She said no that's too much work! I was shocked! I was holding in my anger and told her agin check please it's not about the $20 it's the principle and maybe your machine is broken! She said "maybe you pushed pump 10 and they put your gas and left" I told her that's impossible because I'm on pump 6 and it's a single digit number where as 10 is double digits. If I pressed the wrong pump it would be a so for digit. Then she said "this is not my problem" I was more hurt than anything because this was our local gas station for 20 yeas! This station is often a hot mess with broken pumps, out of gas, etc. Today it would not take my pin number. When I went inside he made me wait while he restocked something, then ordered me to give him a dollar amount. This means I overfill and get to make another rip inside, or underfill and have to stop again soon for gas. I'll just go to the other station, thanks. read more

CA law states they have to offer FREE air & water. They got mad at me when I pointed out this law. Really unprofessional. Told me "To get the Hell out of here." I disputed the charge with my credit card company, I also filed a Better Business Bureau dispute and a Bureau of Automotive Repair complaint. The BAR talked to the owner and the owner stated he admitted he did give a verbal promise of a refund if my car passed elsewhere, but he simply refused to honor it. So unfortunately since this warranty was verbal, my only option is the credit card dispute or failing that, small claims court. I honestly suggest you take your business elsewhere. I certainly won't be giving them any of my business anytime. And I DID write to Arco Corporate who simply stated this was a owner / operator shop, so they have no control over what the shop does. This review is for the auto repair shop that is attached to this gas station. I got the front rotors and break pads replaced here. First off this guy is way overpriced. Dealer quote for the same (Honda) was 285 dollars. But he charged me 340. Before the job the guy said he would install raybestos parts. Since that is a well known brand I agreed. I was shocked to see him but brakebest parts. This is one of the worst brands u can find in the market. He said they come with a 12month/12000 mile warranty and I was OK with it. Sure enough rotors got warped in a couple of months. In fact they started warping after just a few hard stops on the highway. However I went to the shop after 3.5 months. At that time the guy showed me fine print on the receipt that said I would still have to pay labor to have the parts replaced which was about 165 according to him. I decided not to get the replacement as I did not want to be in the same sitaution with the same crappy brand 4 months from now. I'll instead just go to the Honda dealer. In front of me another person came and complained about poor quality replacement window regulators on his suv. His shop is empty most of the time. That should have been a warning sign for me right at the beginning. read more

Don't ever get your vehicle to get a SMOG test here because the manager is incredibly shady and will just try to get your money by giving you bull shit excuses for crazy prices. "Arco Fremont - why are you still alive?" I want to confirm to anyone reading these reviews that the reviews from others here are spot on. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. Save your sanity and go else where. I STRONGLY suggest looking around for another place. If you lead a busy life like most, the last thing you need is a letter from the DMV reminding you it is that time of the year for a smog check. You put it off as long as possible, but eventually you notice the pending due date and then you switch into "get it done" mode. You look for the nearest place that will do it with minimum hassle. Fremont Arco used to be this place. But no more. I have been going to this place every two years like clock work for a long time. Today I went in and had a most unpleasant experience. The manager saw my coupon for $24.95 smog and said he won't accept it. "It is expired ...from last year" he said. I told him that is not possible since my wife got her smog just 3 weeks ago from here and it was he (the manager) who gave my wife the coupon sheet. I told him that I can pay the full price whatever it is ($29.95), but I won't be called a liar, and I will not be returning after this experience. The smog technician was apologetic and is a nice man, but the manager ruined the experience for me. It boils down to an integrity issue. I will not do business with a place that practice bait and switch, and lies to their customer. Simple as that. I was initially conflicted in giving my "stay away from this business" recommendation. Lang the smog technician is a nice man. He is a 75 years old retired mechanic who sits in his car in the shopping center parking lot until someone needs a smog. Then he comes out to make some extra money doing smog. My father is a retired auto mechanic so I can relate. Hopefully he will realize his boss is a liar, and go work else where. I needed to get my registration renewed for the car which required a smog test. I called to see how much the smog test was and was quoted $39.95. I went to the bank and withdrew $45.00 just in case of tax, but that was unnecessary as when I went to pay, it really was $39.95. Renewal + fast smog test = happy and repeat customer. read more

I came here to get a leak in my tire fixed. They pulled off my tire, checked it, and put it back on within 10 minutes. The worker tells me he couldn't find anything. Now the big boss or wider of the only 3 workers in the garage comes and tells me, ok $20 bucks. I said what do you mean, you didn't fix it. He says I still need to charge you. I said you gotta be kidding me. He said I need to charge you for the labor. I've been to two other shops with a different car where they pulled off my tire, could't fix it.
