I sent 50 videos for transfer to digital online links…read more The site advertises a 3 week turn around - it took 3 MONTHS, and only after I threatened to have to take action if my tapes were not returned. I finally got the tapes back and the online digital links. Completely unusable footage. Every video had a frame within a frame - there was a background of the video while the actual video showed in the larger part of the frame. See attached photo - I made a red squiggly line where the defect is. Also, most did not even have the audio! I politely asked for a refund, and Jeff, the owner, never answered and never apologized for his horrible service. The biz name used to be "Jeff's Video Transfer", but the name was changed to Video Transfer Northwest. I suspect because the Jeff's Video name comes up with bad Yelp reviews with customer's who had the same experience as I did.

I wanted to send them a guide print to serve as a reference but they would not let me do it and no proofing available. It was a large Giclee so I was a little concerned as I have not ever worked with a lab that refused both guide print and proof. It was a reproduction of my wife's oil painting so color matching is important to us. Communication was over the phone and email so I might have gotten better service in person. A bit defensive when answering questions. Maybe it was me? or they are just too busy because they do good work at reasonable prices.
