They all worked on the card and the results blew me away. I wanted to be able to keep it and look at it forever, but it was fragile and needed expert framing. A friend suggested Artistic Edge, and the rest is history. Jessica spent the best part of an hour with me going over all the various possibilities. The color of the frame, the size, the matting, the various parts next to each other, the weight of what would be the final product. She acted like I was the only person of importance throughout all of this back-and-forth as I changed my mind over and over. Finally I was ready, and she said that it would be ready by X amount of time --- probably a bit sooner. Off I went. WEEKS before the date promised Kathy called and said the artwork was ready. When I arrived and saw it displayed I cried --- it was exactly what I wanted and ever so much more! Kathy talked to me --- and LISTENED --- as though I was the most important person in the world at that moment --- I told her all about who made the sticker card artwork and when and why, and she just listened and smiled and chatted and was wonderful. I took my artwork home, hung it up, and took pictures for all the sticker artists to enjoy. Everything has come out perfectly! This is a beautiful, meaningful, lovely piece of art, in the absolutely perfect frame. Artistic Edge did an awesome job --- they respected the artwork, they respected me, they threw their artistic talents into this, and I feel that at the same time they got a kick out of doing it. We all of us have beautiful, meaningful artistic treasures hanging around our homes. I can promise you that if you bring them in, Artistic Edge will give them glory in a whole new dimension! At first I wanted the mat to be the same size around all edges, but Ron expressed his concern for cutting off the artwork. After I looked around the shop a little, I agreed that a mat cut with the tops and bottoms not being the same size as the sides would be fine. He crunched some numbers and gave me a receipt for the smaller one, and an estimate for the larger one if he had to grab a new mat for it. One of the frames I had brought in came with a precut mat for some previous artwork in the frame. To cut down on costs, he offered to cut the mat to fit first. That didn't work, mostly because the cuts were too tight, and the previous artwork had some sticky tape left around the borders. Ron called to make sure I was okay with him moving ahead with cutting another mat for it. When I came in to pick them up, not only had he repositioned the mounting hardware on the smaller one so it would hang in portrait orientation, but he had also finished the back side of the bigger one, complete with protective paper and hanging wire. He also helped carry the bigger one out to my trunk on a rainy day. Overall, really satisfied, highly recommend, and I'm glad I didn't go to Michael's instead haha.

I walked in thinking I'd just browse a little, and she somehow turned it into one of the most fun, easy shopping experiences I've had in a long time. Maria didn't just point me toward a wall of canvases. She asked what I liked, what my style was, what my mom might enjoy, and she actually listened. She pulled out options I never would've found on my own, explained the details without making me feel overwhelmed, and helped me pick out a canvas for myself that I'm honestly obsessed with. She also helped me choose one for my mom that feels so perfectly her it almost made me emotional. There's something really refreshing about someone who knows their craft and still treats you like a person instead of a transaction. First thing is I love needlepoint, I'm a huge customer…read more I was a long time customer (40 years) of TheNeedlepointer in Edmonds, WA. This store was sold to someone in California and moved to California. In this sale/transition, I had items in the system to be finished. The wait for items during that time was a year+. Note that I invested $1K+ for the canvases and threads for these "sets" before prepaying for the finish work. The pre-paid finish work was over $1k. Previously, I've never had issues, so didn't think anything about time or $$. I knew it would show up eventually. When I got my finished items about a 1.5 years later, the finish work was all over the board and not what I asked for. I had some that were "soft" ornaments, which is what I asked for. Some where thing framed hard, some where think framed hard. The problem with this is that they were ornament "sets". So the finish work of each set didn't match. I called the new store and they told me that if I sent back the "sets" they'd send them out to have them "redone". I sent them all back at my cost and was told that it would be another year+ since they had to go back in line in the system for finishing. I agreed and then didn't think much about them. 2 years later I got a box of ripped up unfinished ornaments/needlepoint canvases with zero explanation. Imagine my shock! I called and asked "why they sent them back in the condition that they are in" . I got the run around on explanation for over a year, I kept having to send in the original paperwork and explain over and over to new people. My request was to complete the finish work that I paid for or refund the money so I could find someone to finish them on my own. They just kept giving me the run around, then a new person would respond and we'd go through the same process over and over. I am on my 5th person now. They offered me $200 to call it good. I declined. I think my next step is to take them to "quick claim court", I need to investigate how to do this. I recommend NEVER to use this company. There are so many other "needlework" shops out there that are reputable and super supportive. Its just been frustrating trying to deal with them long distance and since they don't answer their phone EVER, leaving messages and sending emails does nothing.
