HB Custom Cabinets, has crafted for us several built-in bedroom cabinets, an office system, a linen closet, two bathroom vanities and most recently a complete kitchen and living room space. Every project Hormoz has done for us, has felt like a project he was doing in his own home and made sure every detail was covered, never cutting corners and communicated with us along the way if there were delays or issues. Pro's * He took our vision and made it into an amazing living space. * Hormoz spent quality time at our house showing us past projects, providing different ideas and ways to maximize our living space, if it wasn't for this time, I'm not sure we would have the wonderful open concept kitchen we have as he suggested the removal of a wall which has been a complete game changer for our living and entertaining space! * Hormoz made many suggestions along the way to improve the lay out of our kitchen and living space vs. what our contractor suggested. * He maximized the space so every cabinet has a purpose and every kitchen item we have has a home. From our utensil utility drawer, home for all of our spices, and a large appliance Lazy-Susan. * Provided sensible use of spaced in our pantry, almost every shelf pulls out so you are able to access everything you put in with easy and it keeps things organized. * Hormoz build us the most amazing hidden coffee bar with a garage door to hide our Nespresso maker and other coffee items away so they were not just sitting on our counter. * Being a top craftsman, he was never afraid to call out mistakes that were being made by our contractor along the way that would ultimately affect the layout and position of cabinets, he truly wants everything to be perfect! * His craftsmanship is top notch, from the solid wood construction, thick enamel finish, placement of pulls and eye for detail, I am not sure there is a better cabinet maker out there! * We had an issue with two alcove walls not being straight and the shelves Hormoz built would not fit, instead of just trying to jam it in and damage the wall, he took the time to cut the shelf by hand to make sure it fit like a glove with no gaps. * He took the time to make sure everything was perfect before he moved on to the next project. * Communicated with us effectively, dates and times he was going to be at our home for installing components of the cabinets or take needed measurements, he always called if he was running late. * He has a great sense of humor and wants to help make all your kitchen and cabinet dreams a reality! Con's * That we can only give him 5 Stars!

In response to your comments "I suggest you review all our text messages and Yelp correspondence…read morebefore posting anything. I can attach the screenshots of our entire communication history if needed here. Here is the timeline of events: Jan 15: I first reached out via Yelp with all project details. Jan 19: Paid a $600 deposit (Total contract: $1,700). Estimated cabinet arrival was the first week of February. Feb 20: Cabinets arrived, and I notified you via text message on yelp. Feb 23: You visited to inspect the cabinets. This is when you noted they were heavy, required panel/filler trimming, and needed two extra helpers at an additional cost. I explicitly agreed to this without issue. Feb 23 - April 7: It took ~43 days to schedule a start date due to your availability/reasons etc. You mentioned helpers were unavailable on Fridays and Mondays, so I agreed to Wednesday/Thursday, April 8th and 9th. During this entire period, you never mentioned I hire another contractor to complete the job. So do not make that claim! April 7: I texted in the afternoon to confirm the time. You canceled the April 8th appointment citing family reasons. I replied, "No worries and Take care," and offered to move to April 9th or push to the following week April 8: You texted confirming arrival for 10:30 AM on April 9th, then changed it to 11:15 then 11:40 AM. Ultimately, you did not show up and texted that your van had problems. April 9 (After No-Show): I was frustrated after all this and I asked if you were still interested in this job. You replied "NO" over the call and told me to move forward with another contractor citing it requires a lot of work, extra helpers and cabinets being heavy! April 9: I requested the $600 deposit refund via Zelle and the return of the cabinet installation drawings. You stated this would have to wait until the next week. April 17: You dropped off the drawings. I gave you one week from the cancellation date to refund my deposit. May 1: From April 9th to May 1st, you just gave me dates and never made payments. After repeated calls and texts, I received only $250. You claimed Zelle had a limit and required 72 hours. May 7: Received $170. May 15: Received $100. May 19: Received $80. Would you have accepted this behavior if a customer had paid you this way after you completed a job? Please acknowledge that this experience was a complete waste of time. I am not here to defame anyone; I am simply sharing the factual experience I had with you. You may be an excellent woodworking craftsman, but that was not the experience I received!

On my bathroom Mark had to deal with constant delays caused by a Vendor I had bought Solid Surface Porcelain Slabs from for my shower walls before consulting with Mark. That was MY mistake as that Vender caused many delays by being late or not even showing up or bringing the wrong materials, but Mark worked around them. Woodenbridge was our custom cabinet maker as part of a whole house renovation that involved…read moreextensive cabinetry - a large kitchen, 3 bathrooms, entry, laundry room, family room, and dry bar. The quality of the cabinets is very high and they look great! We used a pretty wide array of finishes, from glossy and matte Mirlux finishes to Cleaf wood-based panels in multiple varieties. Our project included bi-fold upper cabinets, appliance garages, a printer drawer, a charging drawer for a hair dryer, coffee center with pocket doors, and so on. They turned out great. There were some hiccups along the way that initially caused some frustration - these were limited to a few areas, but we felt the day to day impact of these was hard to just ignore. What really impressed me about owners David and Tammy (and the rest of the Woodenbridge team) was their openness to discuss our concerns in a very constructive and solution-focused manner. There was never any finger pointing or deflection - just a focus on what could be done to get things as right as possible. As a result, virtually all of our concerns were addressed through their willingness to listen, suggest possible resolutions, and implement what we mutually agreed would be the best way forward. This type of positive can-do attitude and sincere desire to reach the highest level of customer satisfaction is really rare these days. They also emphasize their lifetime warranty and willingness to come out and adjust things as things inevitably become misaligned and need tweaking. As a result you feel confidence that you have a long-term partner in keeping your cabinets performing in top shape for the long term. My "advice" in any extensive cabinet project is to take your time, double-check all the details, and over-communicate as needed to make sure everyone is on the same page. There are enough potential gotchas and options that it's best to align often to avoid potential misunderstandings. The bottom-line is that we're very pleased with how the cabinets in our project turned out, have a healthy respect and trust in Woodenbridge as a result of the process we went through together, and would be happy to use them again in a future project.
