I kept lingering over to Archies food truck until he said, "Would you like to try anything"? I wasn't sure what I was in the mood to eat but I mentioned Brisket and that's all she wrote. Archie gave me a slice to try and the rest is history. I t's rare to find great brisket here as I lived in Texas and know what it is supposed to taste like. Well, Archies truck was appropriately named Archie Boy's Texas Barbeque. I was impressed. I had mine on the wrap to lessen the bread intake. It was really good. Archie gave great service and helped to narrow down my choice of cuisine. Check out this food truck if its in your neck of the woods, you cant go wrong.

Best catered BBQ ever! Archie catered several events I attended. I am a big fan of the brisket too.

Just to see if what we experienced was their norm or not. Fortunately, this was a good experience. Ordering took awhile, as we did not know their menu of options, but we got it done. Wife had a three sides plate ($8.49) and she liked it. And we ate in their outdoor patio, which was clean and tidy. I had a pastrami Sandwich City Meal which came with a side, but the kicker is that I had to pay for each side plus the meal. Sandwich ($10.99) I ordered "lean" as BBQ places usually leave the fat on your protein. The meat was pretty dry, but had a good taste. A side of creamy slaw was very good ($2) and I was able to eat some of wife's fried okra, which was also very good with ranch dressing. Beverages, like iced tea and Pepsi were $2.99 each. The tables inside were cleared with the exception of one large table that had their traditional display of uneaten food and debris. I only saw three employees: order taker, kitchen preparer and a woman who picked up the orders and brought them to you. Apparently City BBQ has yet to hire a bus person to clear and clean tables and to sweep the floor. Irony is that when we have been to events catered by City BBQ the food was excellent. We will not be in a rush to re-patronize this location.

My go-to flavors are Golden Original, Spicy Original, and Soy Garlic--they're all packed with flavor. One of my favorite things is the crunchiness. My kids love it just as much as I do, so it's definitely a family favorite for us. My only complaint is the price. I really wish it were a little more affordable because I'd definitely order more and probably come more often! Overall, great flavor, amazing crunch, and consistently good chicken.

Recently ordered an 8-piece boneless chicken box. When I picked it up, the counter person asked if I wanted a sauce with my order. I told him that I do not like sweet or honeyed chicken, but do like spicy. He said "all of our sauces are sweet". I asked if there were any other options and he said, "ranch". Sold! And it was good likely house - made ranch dressing. Once home I took a bite of this wonderful fried chicken, dipped in ranch dressing. It was really yummy. However, when I looked at the area where I bit, it was red/raw. Undercooked. There were seven pieces left so I decided to check them for doneness. Three pieces were wings, from very tiny chickens, each with a strip of skin. It was all fried and too thin to be undercooked. I cut the remaining four pieces in half, length-wise and all of them were red/raw in the middle. If the chicken were slathered with sauce, you would not notice, but just in case, ask for "well-done" when you order to make certain. I put the four pieces into our air fryer and they came out fine. If you like sweet sauces, honey sweet sauces, this is your place. The chicken is excellent, but order well done.

I'm a Midwesterner and this vinegar que isn't up to par with with our sweet smokey taste buds. Not to mention we do brisket and not pulled pork. We'll I got a Brisket Sammich and Mac. The ladies suggested I try the Strawberry or Honey Peach sauce. The WHAT???? In all of my years i have never! I rolled my eyes and went to play on my phone. Then I was called. The Sammich was piled high with 4 slices of brisket. Not chopped, no picked apart, no skimpy but thick, hang over the edge moist, seasoned brisket. I took a nibble a said "ohhhh". I like it. That made me grab some sauce. I mean absolutely tiny bit on the side just to see. I tasted the Strawberry and was elated. Its freakn delicious. The strawberry plays so well with the heat and a hint of sweet. The peach was freakn fire. I had to come back and grab 2 Oz of each. I thought it couldn't get any better till I bit into the Mac. It was creamy, seasoned, and cheese; not over cooked either. Baby I knew I was driving to Fort Mill to get me a plate. I'll be down y'all

Everything about our experience at The Improper Pig was absolutely perfect! From the moment we walked in, the decor and atmosphere stood out and hit all the marks, a few dust places but I'm assuming this place has been here awhile so let's call it that...but the attention to detail made the restaurant feel unique, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed in a warm way. The service was top-notch, with a friendly and attentive waitress she was more eager to fill our drinks than I was to drink lol but honestly she single handily was a beautiful train of productivity, the entire staff was, very impressed, that's a rare find these days and especially for the South. The manager, I imagine runs a tight ship...that helped make the experience even better. The biggest surprise was when my fried rice arrived at the table. The portion size was incredible for the price, mostly because and the quality of the food exceeded my expectations. It was flavorful, satisfying, and clearly made with technique. I will say the brisket on the barbecue plate my husband ordered was incredibly dry, the plethora of flavors of barbecue sauce on the table couldn't help it either...I'm thinking they reheat the meat for the bbq plates throughout the day (which makes sense) but they maybe need to consider another reheating method or I'm curious when the bbq is freshly made...I'd love to come in that day. Either way I truly left almost completely speechless...what a gem. We will be back to ensure it wasn't a one off type of day. It's not often that you find a place where the atmosphere, service, value, and food all come together so well...with techniques going in the kitchen. Whew! The staff was kind and accommodating which we appreciated, too. But, as their name declares, it's about the burger and that's where they let us down. Their style is rolling the meat thin to get a perfect bun:meat ratio, which they nailed. But the burger is literally tasteless. Remove the condiments and the mustard and you're left with a gray, lifeless disc of beef just begging for a hard sear and seasoning. Disappointing. Moreover, both our buns were dried out and the sliced tomatoes were not ripe. Has my "Give 'em a Whirl" meter wondering if we should try them again or look somewhere else.

They have apple pies that taste like what McDonalds used to serve over 15 years ago before they got cheap with them. My problem with them is however they organize putting the order together into the bag. 95% of the time I go there, there's something wrong. Most of the time, it's that they don't give me my dipping sauce. For most places, I wouldn't care about the mistake and just eat my meal. However, unlike most other places, this franchise charges $0.50 for a dipping cup and you don't get a complimentary one. Other times, I'm missing my apple pie. Luckily, It takes me 2 seconds looking in the bag to notice because they have this annoying protocol of having drive through customers pull forward, away from the window to wait on your food (unlike other places, it's not because 1 item you ordered is being made and allowing other customers to get their food and go around you while you wait). It turns into me rushing to open the bag and find a problem before they disappear into the building. Now come to today. Same old, same old. They managed to remember my dipping cup but forgot my entire apple pie. Waved them down, got it and took off. Fast forward to getting home and I open my burger to find that my double is suddenly a single with jalapenos on it. I have never been to any food place that forgets and messes my order up more frequently than I have here. It's not a food problem, I love the food. It's a problem with the people working in it, which is more than likely because of whatever very specific way the franchise wants their workers to do things. If you go here, make sure you have everything you paid for. You will probably need to be vigilant here more so that any other place you've gone to combined.

Well....I am disappointed. The food is lackluster - no flavor in the chopped chicken or pulled pork, the hush puppies were overcooked, the banana pudding was not good, and the sauces in the bottles at the table added ZERO flavor to the meat. The barbecue beans were dry and flavorless, and the potato wedges were like warm. Everything was so deficient in flavor that I am concerned if anyone understands barbecue. My wife enjoyed the wings, and that is why this rating is 3 stars. I was so disappointed in my meal that I didn't try her wings. The interior was clean and orderly, and the workers were generally friendly. The food came up quickly, but everything was lukewarm. I am hopeful I caught the Rock Store on a bad day. I will try them again, for the wings, on a future visit to Waxhaw, NC.

I would imagine they basically crockpot the pork sandwich in water with zero seasoning. Messing up southern sweet tea in the south is a solid sin! Slaw lacks sauce and is dry. The banana pudding is gross. Cheap vanilla instant pudding and some wafers on top that are soggy and stale for sure. It tastes several days old. Zero bananas and zero banana flavoring.
