Great service and nice indoor seating. The chili and mac-n-cheese were good. The BBQ was average.

Went in today after a stressful morning at work and was greeted immediately when I walked through the door with all smiles. I wasnt familiar with the menu so the bartender helped me out with ease all the while helping other people and answering the phone. My food came out fast and it was cooked perfectly. Over all experience was exactly what i needed today!! Highly recommend!!! I have seen that place alot giving the fact I have lived in Indian land my entire life just never been in.

Chopped Beef Brisket Plate

Checked out 521 on a Saturday evening around 7. They were out of 2 items I wanted (hush puppies and sliced brisket). I ordered the chopped brisket, red skin potato salad and baked beans. I enjoyed my sides but thought the brisket was just ok and somewhat dry in some bites. I also enjoyed there 3 sauce options. I would check them out again earlier in the day. The service was ok but time to get the food was longer than expected with the amount ppl in the restaurant. Did you really have a bbq plate if it didn't involve hush puppies?

Full rack of pork ribs

Good BBQ ribs, nice smoke but a little dry. The portion of the full-rack of ribs was as-expected, enough for 2-3 people in one sitting, but the size of the side items was too small... Fries dont cost much, so not sure why such a small serving on a high-price rib plate. My daughter ordered the BLT and added a beef-patty. Good flavor, no issues, fresh toppings and well prepared. Staff was cheery and helpful, but a little light for the number of tables, so we were a bit slow in getting response on re-fills and boxes and condiments... I think we waited about 45 minutes between ordering and getting the food, so either it is real fresh? Or there is some other issue going on in the back... And with a very busy waitress (who was great to us!) our total meal time was about 2 hours. Kids dont do well for 2 hours of sitting at a table.

Ordered sliced beef brisket and received pulled/chopped. Extremely small portion and really dry and not cooked well. Not gonna visit again.

I'm a Midwesterner and this vinegar que isn't up to par with with our sweet smokey taste buds. Not to mention we do brisket and not pulled pork. We'll I got a Brisket Sammich and Mac. The ladies suggested I try the Strawberry or Honey Peach sauce. The WHAT???? In all of my years i have never! I rolled my eyes and went to play on my phone. Then I was called. The Sammich was piled high with 4 slices of brisket. Not chopped, no picked apart, no skimpy but thick, hang over the edge moist, seasoned brisket. I took a nibble a said "ohhhh". I like it. That made me grab some sauce. I mean absolutely tiny bit on the side just to see. I tasted the Strawberry and was elated. Its freakn delicious. The strawberry plays so well with the heat and a hint of sweet. The peach was freakn fire. I had to come back and grab 2 Oz of each. I thought it couldn't get any better till I bit into the Mac. It was creamy, seasoned, and cheese; not over cooked either. Baby I knew I was driving to Fort Mill to get me a plate. I'll be down y'all

Highly recommend the smoked pork ribs which are are fall off the bone tender, meaty, and with gorgeous and lovely dry rub and bbq glaze, so good! They need no BBQ sauce! The beef brisket(extra $5) slices are thick, smokey, beefy, and so beautiful. Very good, but a bit on the dry side. No worries, just add one of the many BBQ sauces, all lovely and special in their own ways. The house slaw is nice and light with an Asian inspired dressing. According to the server, we received a smaller than normal order of pork rinds. Which wasn't that big of a deal because it literally looked like they opened the bag of gas station pork rinds and poured them onto a tray with seasoning. Fries were brought out later, but they were cold. The charcuterie board was good for quantity, but my mouth quickly got tired of the flavors. Everything seemed crazier than it needed to be, and none of the sauces really stood out. In fact, all of them were sweeter than I had expected. Oh yeah, when I ordered a Bud Light with a glass, the glass was dirty. So the food was definitely an under achieving moment. Next, the server was actually nice and the ambience was great. It's a smart looking establishment . But you don't go to a restaurant for the looks, you go for the food and in that regard, I was decidedly underwhelmed.

The salad greens were old or had been pre-refrigerated, the tomatoes were soft and barely any croutons and they were smaller compared to the last 8 years, virtually no grated cheddar cheese, no bacon and a couple sliced almonds?! The complimentary cheddar rolls were not cooked enough and we got a 4 tiny ones in a big white bowl. The entire food presentation for each dish was not good at all. All food was just slapped on the plate very sloppily and sparsely. The pie we got in the photo looked like it was just plopped on there and was melted and prehandled. I questioned our server to make sure it was ok. So... not sure what's going with this location but I am thinking the food presentation quality and quantity has gone down a lot, cook training, and short cuts are being taken... perhaps new management? Something is going on. Very sad.

I've been four times. The best burger I've tried yet is the Butcher's Burger. If you're looking for a burger with a smoky flavor, uplifted by the richness of the pork belly and seared onions... I haven't found better yet in the city. CB&BG is home to the best side dish in the city so far. Fried Okra. A dish I am beyond familiar, but rather familial with being from Oklahoma. I've had it countless times. I have not only never seen it prepared like this, but I have never had better. Forget the traditional fried okra chips or medallions you're used to. They tempura fry the whole dang thing. Get yourself some ranch and enjoy. The indoor atmospere is clean, sleek, and fun whenever they have live sports on TV or live bands in house. It was a little dark though it was more quiet than the sunlit front. I ordered the Old Town Cobb and my husband ordered the Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf and a Caesar salad. The focaccia croutons in the salad were out of this world delicious and different. Their flavor of the croutons burst in our mouth. The meatloaf's presentation was superb. Hubby said he would order meatloaf again. I had a bite and it was crispy and smoky tasting. My husband ordered 2 beers and the bill was under $50 which we thought was a good value. Pros: water served in glass tumblers. Menu is very creative. Food is really delicious. Location. Plenty of other spots to grab a coffee, tea or hot chocolate while walking around Main Street after eating. Cons: tomatoes under ripe in Cobb salad. Caesar salad dressing was more sweet than anticipated. Depending when you come, parking will be challenging if a person is unable to walk. On the menu for today I chose the Blue plate Special ($23) OG, bacon wrapped meatloaf, swirl potatoes, veggie du jour, stewed, collards, steakhouse, vinaigrette, cilantro Crema. The dish was Tender medallions of meatloaf, wrapped in savory bacon. Topped with a steakhouse vinaigrette, tangy, and savory, which had an amazing flavor by itself, I just wish it added more to the main. Which was slightly bland. Unfortunately, this cilantro Crema had no hints of cilantro. The actual star of the show is the collard greens. The Collard greens has a subtle kick, which is amazing and flavorful, and gives that little extra punch. Hand slammed fries ($5) Parmesan - rosemary dusted, roasted tomato malt vinaigrette. Tasty especially with their house made ketchup, but unfortunately, the fries were a little on the soggy side. And a Blake's cider (5). crisp and refreshing. Perfect for a southern Carolina afternoon. Overall, food was delicious, but could use just a hint of attentions to flavor. I would definitely recommend you give Kounter a try.
