I picked Archer Travel straight out of the yellow pages... Yes I went with an instinct and it was the best decision I have ever made for the Innocean/Hyundai Product Specialist Team. Ron and his internal Team (Carlos is a winner) handle all of our auto show travel needs from airline tickets, to hotel rooms to rent a cars. We have partnered for the past year. The transition and process has been flawless. The attention to our every need is recognized day or night. Ron put in place an after hours 800 phone line complimentary to add another layer for support when the need arises. Our program is massive with numerous ticket requests daily and the prompt effecient service is beyond our expectations. The phone is answered promptly, the best ticket price is found with the most convenient routing being offered. Everyone of our Product Specialist Team members have welcomed the level of service with such an appreciation. I cannot thank the Archer Team enough for servicing our account and for making travel a "route" of ease... We plan to remain partners forever! read more

I was treated poorly as an agent. I don't recommend working for Archer Travel. On Friday 5/17/24 I tried to check into my Vaxaccount to send group trip itineraries and payment request to a travel group. I could not access my account as I was locked out. I contacted Vax tech support and my account was unlocked. After logging in with help from vax support I received a message. The message stated that a trip I booked and paid in full was canceled. After contacting the vacation provider, I was told the agent that booked the trip canceled the trip. That couldn't be true. I was the agent that booked the trip. To make matters worse the trip was now $436.89 more than initially paid. I called Vax tech back and made a complaint. Janice Williams called me a few hours after I complained. This is when my experience took a turn for the worse as if losing money on a fully paid trip wasn't enough. Before Janice called every step she took before canceling the trip was going well. I answered the phone and Janice immediately begins to scold me. She yelled "YOU ARE NOT AN AGENT"! "Why are you booking trips". In between her scolds, I tried to explain my confusion as I've planned a trip to Ghana for December and was in the process of sending payment request then realized a trip paid in full was canceled. Janice went on to yell, I called and emailed you yesterday. I had not received the email and I hadn't had time to check my voicemail. It hadn't been 24 hours once she left the voicemail. Janice went on to yell " YOU HAVEN'T PAID SINCE OCTOBER YOU ARE NOT AN AGENT ! I was trying to figure out why I wasn't notified of the payment issue as I thought the payments were being charged to my business credit card. Janice went on to say "YOUR CARD HAS BEEN DECLINE, YOU DON'T HAVE THE MONEY"! At that point I was done being yelled at and belittled by someone that isn't trying to help resolve the issue. I told Janice her tone was shitty and asked her to stop speaking to me that way. During the call I tried checking my email and realized my business email was paused due to no payment as well. Then I realized my business credit card was replaced and the auto payments for my email and evolution travel weren't going through. I failed to update my credit card. This is not anyone's fault but mine. However, Janice yelling at me and asking how I didn't know when it was a common mistake. As if it don't take evolution travel a while to figure it out as well. Janice's behavior is unexceptionable. I have never been treated this way when trying to relive an issue. After my last group trip for Ghana I will no longer be an agent as I do not want to be associated with a company that treats their associates this way. For me to lose money and get yelled at was uncalled for and unprofessional. Same on Janice and anyone that supports that type of behavior. read more

A travel agent dubbed as the Prettypreneurs is too unprofessional. She is rude. She provided inaccurate information without doing the research. She would quote pricing without actually checking ATS website. After she gathers indo she will contact you with new info that is very different than what was quoted. She was referred to me by an associate. I recently booked a Jamaica trip through her to which she appeared to be lackadaisical when it came to arranging our vacation. My main issue with this trip was her work ethic. She explained itineraries incorrectly leaving the travel to conduct their own research because she is untrustworthy. She also isn't personable with clients. She is the travel agent. It is assumed she would know more about travel requirements and changed. She totally leaves this up to the traveler. Which you as a traveler would not know how to choose the best accommodation given that they haven't visited before. I was sadden by this agent because I referred several people to her including my adult daughter. She was changing resorts and pricing due to Covid, but was not vocal at all.about the changes and options for the traveler. It was kinda like... you get what you get. There is no legit refund policy. She totally lied about that. She stated that a refund could be given before 30 days. When attempted to cancel within the 30 days she stated that we couldn't get all of our money back. If she would've been honest than we would've know how to advocate for ourselves. So at that point your stuck dealing with her. I had to lose my cool with her when she screwed my daughter and neices on their up coming trip to the Bahamas. I understand Covid has gotten in the way of many plans, however simply communication would have suffice. I'm very disappointed in this girl because I have referred 3 people in the time I've known her and each person had an issue. And of course they called me because I referred her. I booked a cruise with Archer travel for June 2022. The agents helping me were initially very helpful. However, during my first day of travel I encountered an extreme emergency. I contacted my agents (Marie and Peggy) and neither one of them got back to me. I left multiple messages and none of my messages were returned. I'm back from my cruise and til this day I have not received a returned phone call to check up on the matter. Once my final payment was received it seems they were done helping me. They claim to not be selling time share's, but what they are selling is worse. $10K plus $550. processing fee, plus $299 a month, for them to book your travel they say at a discounted rate. We just attended the sales presentation last evening. What a waste of time! The presenter himself was fine, but the salesmen from Global Personal Services (GPS) came across as typical scam artists, and in the end were quite rude. Why are there no printed informational brochures? There' s absolutely NOTHING that the consumer can look at or read that spells out what Archer / GPS does, and what the various membership options are. What is the legal relationship between Archer and GPS? What is GPS? In answer to that question, the salesman "assigned" to us said they were a "facilitator" but refused to tell me what that meant. This guy' s boss came over to act as the "nice guy" and to reassure us that Archer would "bend over backwards" for us, willing to be flexible on some of their terms that are not flexible- sounding at all in their Purchase Contract. Who is the contract with, anyway? Archer? GPS? And what happens if Archer, or GPS, ceases to exist? Why was I not allowed to take a copy of the "Purchase Contract" to dinner with me to read over carefully? The salesman, who reeked of cigarette smoke and booze, yanked it away from me and told me it was "proprietary" information and there was a "compliance" person there to go over the document with any couple who was going to sign it. I am sure the "compliance" person does not represent ME and my best interests regarding this legally binding document. All in all, we felt the entire sales tactic and team, and the product being pitched, were less than first class, in fact slippery and questionable. ps. I gave Archer 1 star but it should be zero. I have to agree with the earlier posters. The sales pitch was o.k. but the sales man (who smelled heavily of smoke), that we had spent way too much time talking about himself and the places he likes to visit. This was after we tried to inform him about the vacation destinations we like. Unfortunately for Archer Travel, I decided that the price was well outside of what I wanted to pay to be in the club. I could talk myself into the $550 processing fee and the $299 a year (or $19.99 a month). But the $10,000 just to join? That just shut me down. Yes they bargain it down but in all honesty they would have had to have been in the $1,000 to $2,000 range just to make me interested. The part that really seems deceptive was the process they used to get me there. I was sent a post card offering a free 8 day cruise as well as free airline tickets to anywhere in the continental United States. You can spin it any way you want but the free items are fictitious and misleading. In all honesty I went because of the "free cruise" out of any major harbor "INCLUDING" Seattle. Just about the only thing that leaves Seattle is Alaska cruises. Therefore, I concluded that I would have to listen to a 90 minute sales pitch on joining a travel club and I could take my wife on a nice local cruise. Then after the whole ordeal is over the salesman gives me the "free items." Sure enough, $99 cashiers check or money order to get my free voucher for the cruise. But wait theirs more... Now don't forget that you have to pay all taxes, port fees, gratuities, transportation, service charges, a reservation processing fee and incidental expenses. Also you must send in the $99 within 21 days of your sales presentation or it is no good. Then there is a LONG list of all the rules and procedures you must follow if you want this "free" cruise. Included in this list is a blunt statement about how you cannot call them with any questions or comments. They will only deal with you via mail unless it is an emergency, and then only after they have sent you a confirmation packet. Finally, and this is my favorite, NO ALASKA CRUISES ARE ALLOWED. What? Where else am I going to sale from when I leave Seattle for 7 days? In case you're wondering, the "free airline tickets" are the exact same way. I understand that your (Archer Travel) in a business to make money. But think about what you have done. If this is the standard way you deal with your customers, (i.e. to fine print them to death), why would I want to join your company? This could have been the "hook" that after taking the cruise convinced me and my family that your company could make wonderful vacations even better and cheaper. Now though, the only thing I learned is that you really have to read the fine print when dealing with Archer Travel. read more

Tried their "promotion" with two night hotel and two free flights? DONT. First, there is a $50 activation fee...and then you must pay all hotel taxes, airline taxes and another $50 per person booking fee! So as expected, there is no free lunch. Finally, to make matters worse, to pay the $50 activation fee - they ONLY ACCEPT CASHIERS CHECK OR MONEY ORDER.....anything to make things even more difficult. I asked if they would take cash if I walked into their office. NOPE. Run...and don't look back. We sat through the 1 1/2 hour presentation and were not impressed. And the "incentive" is hardly that. This is a completely deceptive operation! All who have been scammed should notify the Better Business Bureau. We attended the 8/18/12 presentation based on a card that FALSELY stated that you received a gift of a choice of any Marriott hotel in the country plus $100 for dining and $100 gas card. The paper given as the "gift" states "you cannot select the hotel: we will select it for you"---thus any low class of "Marriott. Holiday Inn, Carlson or Choice brand properties". You have to put up money--which is at risk, etc. All the rest is deceptive. They even deny any connection with their own promotion even though we have a card proving it is theirs!!! Do not get fool with their promotional post card which says LAX two free flights tickets anywhere in United States which instead you will get two night hotel and two free flights with hidden fees. 1st $50.00 non-refundable fee to activate the certificate, then $350.00 for tax and government fee. 3rd $50.00 resort fees per person. And to make things even more hideous they tell you that this is not a time-sharing sale and also they say we are not going to pressure you to buy simply just listen what we have to offer if you like it just stay and talk to the representative. Ha!!!!! Guess what it is the same in different format. The presentation start by saying they do not sale time-share and they are travel agent, then they ask question like how many times do you travel and how much do you spend for vacation etc. now they start sales pitch that their profit only from membership and hotels, air fairs etc. they giving cost so they claim will save you from %20-%50+ and compare them selves to Costco, and membership will cost $299 yearly and if you don't use their service in a year they do not charge $299. Ha!!! that is great up to now. ok here it comes the fun for start they ask $9995 for license fee, $495 for document fee and plus $299 membership and what is the license fee I don't no, and the funny part is that they claim that the profit is only from membership (what about that licenses and document fee) then after presentation they get you one by one and start negotiating $9995 comes down $1000 every time you say I don't know I have to think about it and if your respond is same every offer they give you then will ask you how much can you afford. So you tell me if it is not a pressure sale and if it is a different than time-sharing sale. In my opinion it is another scam. You be the judge. read more

In my position as Vice-President of Special Projects for an International advertising company I was solicited by dozens of travel agencies to furnish me with anything and everything connected to travel within our company. Being overly cautious, I knew if I didn't do my research and select the 'right' agency, it would be my head on the chopping block. Considering that on average 40 employees traveled at least two weeks per month each and nearly every other month a major meeting would take place with upwards of 300 people. it wasn't just about the money we would save. I had the opportunity to meet Ron Archer from Archer Travel when he 'pitched' me to be our 'travel agent'. After asking for and receiving the names and contact information of at least a dozen companies and individuals Ron was currently doing business with, I set out to do my research. Ron won...and so did we! Our relationship lasted nearly 15 years and then the company I worked for was sold. The new owners had a 'better' arrangement for travel or so they said, and our relationship with Archer Travel came to an abrupt end.. Needless to say, Ron and Archer Travel returned as our exclusive travel agency within five months and continued in that capacity until 2010 when another change in management came along. During that time, yes, there were mistakes made by Archer Travel but they were always handled immediately and efficiently by Ron and his associates. They even handled the mistakes we made! What a refreshing approach to business...customer care! By the way, Ron still handles all my personal travel and that of my family and several personal friends. Just recently I spoke with Ron and he told me about a new travel co-op he is introducing in conjunction with a well known, successful promotion company called OUTSIDE THE BOX, inc. It sounds like a great way way to save even more money on vacation travel. My wife, who is a teacher with the LAUSD and I are going to take a look at all the details and benefits of this co-op as soon as school breaks for the summer. read more

There was NO IDENTIFICATION OF ARCHER TRAVEL on the invitation to the 90 minute seminar, other than a statement saying "powered by Priceline" which means absolutely nothing.The presentation was vague and misleading, the free gifts are worthless and will actually COST you money to use them. They kept saying they were using the "Costco model" of business, but I see no similarity to Costco. They use pressure to sell their services, their sale people seem desperate and their information is highly questionable. I can't ever imagine Costco giving a high pressure presentation and then give you gifts that are worthless. Yes, Ron Archer will probably say that the gifts are of value if you follow the rules and pay for taxes, fees and reservation charges, but PLEASE do your homework, even though they won't let you know who they are beforehand. They should be ashamed, trying to sell"integrity" and after listening for 2 hours we were given basically worthless travel and hotel coupons with all of the "fine writing" making them impossible to use. I wish I had read the reviews before I took their offer and wasted over 2 hours listening to their lies. The guy who was assigned as our "pimp," (that's the best word describing these crooks), boasted that he had spent a week in Costa Rica at a top hotel for ... $650, INCLUDING AIRFARE !!! I told him that sounds too good to be true. He was so convincing that we decided to give it a try, and bought the least expensive plan (which kept falling from $9,999 to $1,499). I told him straight up that if they cannot deliver what he is promising, I will cancel right away. He had no problems with it, assuring me I will love their service. Next day, I called the number to reserve, however, my info was not in their systems yet. They want to make sure by the time you are able to reserve, your 3 day cancellation period has expired. On the 3rd day, I forced them to quote me prices at different places, including Costa Rica. The best they could offer was 3% less than retail. What my pimp was claiming to be $650 for a week, was in reality $6,500!!! I immediately cancelled. According to the agreement I had signed, they are supposed to refund your money in 15 days. Additionally, by signing, you waive your right to reverse credit card charges. After waiting for 48 days after I canceled, calling and emailing them a hundred times (which they completely ignored) inquiring why my refund was not coming, I called my cc company and reversed the charges. They have not contacted me, nor sent me my "gift" of free air and hotel for attending their torture camp. In summary, KEEP AWAY from this company. Don't fall for their lies. When you get their postcards offering you free vacations, throw it in the trash without any guilt, because it's that "what if it's legit" thought that will make you go. read more

Just got home from an almost 2 hour sales pitch to spend $9,995.00 license fee, $550.00 process fee and annual dues of $299.00 in advance for discount travel. So we jumped on the Internet to see what reviews were out there on these characters. Sure wish we had known what we were in for before responding to their invitation to get a "Free Cruise and Airfare". Before we walked out price dropped to $1995.00 with a second license for free to gift to someone else. Of course you have to buy NOW! or lose all the great incentives they offer to close the deal. I had the honor of being one of Archer Travel's clients for almost two years, on behalf of the company that I previously worked for. Our permanent agent was Carlos Schiantarelli and he was hands down the best travel agent I ever worked with. The company I worked for had gone through several other travel agencies and agents prior to using Archer; and hands down, none could come close to being as great as Archer and Carlos. This agency really knows how to handle corporate travel, they have a travel agents available 24/7, for all last minute travel situations and they are fairly priced. Carlos is a top-quality corporate travel agent, who genuinely cares about his accounts, knows the business like the back of his hand, goes out of his way for his accounts, puts up with a lot of nonsense.... yet he will never let you know it (even when you know you're being a pain), will always look for the best deal available, while still considering travel comfortability (timing, layovers, gates, etc) and does his best to route the trip to avoid possible travel disasters (time of year, weather, etc). Safe to say that I highly recommend this agency to anyone. read more

We purchased their membership in early 2013 and worked hard to make the relationship work. Unfortunately they rarely met expectations - and our expectations are not unreasonable. The agents, with the exception of Jill, for the most part, don't understand travel. They don't listen well, they don't follow up and they made our travel planning and road time more difficult than if we had made our own reservations and plans. The reimbursement for our "rebate" was not transparent and required continual pestering to receive. Though we were hopeful we consider it a write off and poor decision. Though our concerns, raised to the highest level, were recognized there was no change in the quality of service. I'm sorry it didn't work out as the concept is good but the execution was poor. read more

I can go one better than the other negative comments about Archer Travel and their association with GLOBAL PERSONAL SERVICES. I don't know the relationship between the two, and was never able to find out who is calling the shots. I do know that we fell for the sales pitch based on the fact that we were going to be doing traveling. The fact that the shopping services were included seemed like icing on the cake. However, we could never glean any specifics about those benefits during the sales pitch. We were able to negotiate the contract for $3000 plus the fees which brought it to a total of $3590. Two days after signing the contract, I tried to get in contact with GPS customer service, and repeatedly got voice mail. Upon leaving messages, I never received a call back. In addition, we found out that their shopping savings basically consisted of downloading coupons from the internet to be used at a your local market, etc. Primarily due to lack of response from their "so-called" customer service, we decided to rescind the contract. We did so within the 72 hour notification window, and had read somewhere in their literature to allow 3 weeks for the refund to be processed. That time came and went and we started a steady stream of phone and email inquiries to no avail. We finally threatened to notify all consumer advocates and protection agencies, media, etc. including Clark Howard, and that we were initiating small claims court action. Within 2 hours we had been notified that a check was in the mail. It arrived today by certified mail, more than 2 months after we rescinded the contract. Needless to say, we have left a lot of the details out of this letter, but if you get a card in the mail from these people -- RUN THE OTHER WAY! I don't know what Archer's track record in business is, but the GPS connection is not doing them any favors. read more

I was told over the phone that we would receive information about a company called dream vacations out of Marysville Wa. For our time we would receive 2 free tickets on US Air and 2 nights hotel. The pitche turned out to be for Archer Travel. The sales people were classic dirty salesmen who were my best friend until I said no thank you at which point he stood up and walked away and would not even respond when I said thank you. Now to the "free gifts!" We are passed a pair of worthless vouchers by an extremely unfriendly woman that required us to send in a non-refundable $100 deposit to activate the certificate at which point they would mail us a package about booking travel. The car rental voucher was even worse. After all the activation and booking fees it would be cheaper to book via Alamo's website than use our "free" gift. Bottom line, these guys are a total scam. I want to believe the Archer Travel network actually provides some good deals to its members but at $9,995 you better travel a lot! Regardless, their sales methods are shady and deceptive.
