I was skeptical about the company given they don't have as many reviews on Yelp but am so glad I went with them. Jess has 10+ years doing certified electrical work on residential and light commercial work and it shows. I had researched the work involved and he knew and applied the latest 2020 NEC electrical codes; like how many turns on the conduit can be done before a pullout, and the right wiring to use given the distance. He ran 120 feet of metal conduit with multiple bends around my house and you could just see from the speed and quality of the workmanship his experience. Did I mention that his pricing was 1/2 of some $$$ bids I got on Yelp ( and matched what national standards are for this work )? There is a lot of price gouging going on by well rated businesses that service Boulder. To get the right price and have quality work done by McCarrick was great - I will use him in the future for other electrical work around my house.

He returned my initial call promptly and scheduled a look-see within a couple of days. When he came out he took his time to inspect the entire house, along with its two electric panels, one ancient, the other not so new either. He carefully explained our options and then sent a detailed bid sheet. Mike turned out to be the perfect electrician for the job. He was thorough and persisted in figuring out the source of some extra-voltage issues we had. He did what needed to be done -- period. In other words, he didn't try upselling us. He explained what he was doing, and why, and patiently answered all our questions. Most importantly, he gave us peace of mind. And he did it for a very reasonably cost. I heartily recommend Mike.

Very disappointing experience. Communication was poor, and the electrician ultimately never came to…read moredo the work. I was counting on the work being completed as scheduled, but the lack of communication and reliability made the experience extremely frustrating. What was even more disappointing is that he actually told me that another, more profitable job made him ignore his commitment! This is a one-person operation, and unfortunately, it seems that if a more lucrative job comes along, $fuck your schedule and your project can simply be disregarded. That is not how a professional business should operate. I own several rental properties and was looking for someone I could build an ongoing working relationship with. Unfortunately, the "pay me now" approach cost him much more than just this one job. Had he simply held up his part of the commitment and followed through, there could have been plenty of future work. If you need an electrician who communicates clearly, respects your schedule, follows through on commitments, and can be relied upon to show up, I would recommend looking elsewhere. I would not use this electrician again.

We found Antonio on HomeAdvisor and could not be more pleased with his and his crewmember's work!!…read more My boyfriend was able to describe the work we needed and Antonio gave a quote over the phone. After working all day installing can lights, we needed to have a live wire traced, which required that they make a few holes in our wall. They were so worried that we would be upset about it but the alternative was to run a new wire. We chose the first option because patching a few holes is much easier and cheaper than running a new wire. After cutting holes, they also wanted to clean up the dust. I told them to let my roomba take care of it. We are so happy with Antonio and his crewmember's work. They were very professional and efficient especially when tasked with a crazy mess of wires from previous owners. Antonio was also very patient when he had to explain to me what "landed" meant and he explained it in terms I completely understood.
