No luck. Our local friends recommended Lasting and impression right before we almost lost hope. 3 hours ago I met this wonderful lady Karen from this company. She asked specific questions and gave me thorough explanations in a super professional way....then 20 mins later, boom! She found the exact crank we need! As for the charge, this nice lady said:" nothing, happy holidays!" I was touched by her professionalism and patience. And we are so pleased finally the right crank was found!

When I walked into Scottsdale Custom Building Materials, I assumed I would be left to wander around like the other places I had gone. Immediately after I entered, a salesman greeted me and genuinely took the time to learn which door I purchased, what my home's style is and offered several suggestions. Not once did I feel pressured to buy a higher end product or something that I didn't really like. Two weeks later my hardware arrived just as we discussed. I really appreciate that this place doesn't resort to high pressure sales tactics and even though I could have found the hardware cheaper online I really appreciated the personal touch to get to know me and what I liked, rather than which line would bring in more profit. I can assure you, I will be back when I tackle my next home project coming soon!

That's why working with Sal at Scottsdale Custom Building Materials stood out so much. My son and I are chemically sensitive, so I needed Jeld-Wen no-added-formaldehyde doors for a healthy home build. Sal not only helped me source them, but also guided me through quantities, materials, and design tweaks that made the final plan more functional and attractive. What really impressed me was how proactive and responsive he was. After dealing with another shop that expected me to chase them because they hadn't followed through, Sal was a breath of fresh air. He was organized, thorough, and genuinely invested in doing the job right. Hands down, he has been the most on-point and dedicated supplier of my entire remodel. I would wholeheartedly recommend Sal to anyone looking for doors, moulding, hardware, or building materials.

We replaced two sliders with a horizontal upper fixed picture window over top 2/3 of window. On the lower 1/3 horizontal level the middle 50% was fixed with two 25% screened windows on the left and right, which slide over the fixed when open. Worked beautifully and the picture window was stunning. Excellent installation of both window. Very happy with the result. It turned out that the bathroom window was misconfigured at the factory, which was initially a disappointment, because it had been designed & ordered appropriately by the Salesman, but here's the thing. This company corrected the problem, at its own expense, and now that this window is in, it's working perfectly and the installation, as before with the kitchen window, was done professionally and expertly. The installers were great guys too. I could not have asked for more professionalism, from the initial Salesman, to Chelsea who communicated frequently with me and the higher up folks who had to approve these corrections and to the installers themselves. In every way possible this is an excellent reliable company and I highly recommend them. The initial design glitch was just that -- a glitch. But these professionals made good on their promises and maintained a great attitude with us throughout the process. Can't ask for more really. Thanks W&D Store!

I was referred to Vincent at Scottsdale Window Coverings. The first time I called Vincent, he was able to schedule an appointment to come to my home the next day. From the get go, it was a seamless experience. I was able to share my ideas of what I wanted and he was able to provide me with examples of styles and fabrics without overwhelming me with too many options. Vincent did his research and provided me with the best product and material based on what I wanted for my home. His installers were quick and efficient and had my blinds installed on time. It has been a great experience working with Vincent and his team. They listened to what I wanted and delivered an exceptional product on time and within my budget. I would recommend using Scottsdale Window Coverings to anyone in the Valley looking for an efficient team that gets the job done and listens to their customers' needs first. Thank you Vincent!

Because two small finishing pieces didn't fit - the installer took them and was going to adjust them and return to finish the install. 2 weeks came and went and no word. So sent an email -then another-then a call to SWC. An apology with promise to get it taken care of. Not done. More emails and calls followed. Finally months after the original install they sent someone to finish -3 hours after the scheduled time with no call. When he completed, the job looked terrible-ill fitting with gaps. Caught him before he left and told him to come back in and fix. He returned and said original install was slightly off. Asked him to fix. He did reluctantly. As he was leaving, I asked "Why didn't you do it right the first time instead of haphazardly?" He answered "Because I have other people I need to get to today.." Needless to say-we won't be using them again for such poor customer service and follow through.

The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is the finish work . The "header" is a slightly different color than the doors, when I asked why I was told it was due to different types of wood. I'm not a wood guy but I've seen much better finish work. See photo. There is also a minor blemish on one of the doors that I think could have been noticed and fixed before delivery.
