Came here to watch my cousin play golf. One may not think there is a golf course as one passes the entrance since the driving range and golf course are about a quarter mile from Live Oak. As one walks in there is a putter area which states "only for instruction." There are about 15 spots for the driving range. Off to the side of the driving range is where the golf course begins. When I came it was mainly men who just got off work and middle/high-school students. Nonetheless, it seems like everyone gets along and has fun. I have known Karl Smith who is currently one of the instructors at Arcadia Golf for some time now and he has taken my game to a new level and because of this I knew he could assist my son in this endeavor as well. Karl has been a game changer for my son and I. Karl taught me the skills I was not able to pick up with other instructors and coached and inspired my son to want to learn more about the game and beyond which I am eternally grateful for. As a result of Karl's mentorship my son got involved with The Junior Golf Academy which has been a good place for my son to start learning about golf. It kind of reminded me of Cub Scouts or Boy Scouts in the way they look beyond the obvious skills of golf instruction as well which is really nice. Going to this course on a regular basis for nearly a year now thanks to my introduction by Karl and great interactions with all the staff. I really enjoy this place! It's a nice, hidden golf course at the edge of Arcadia. It's a bit hard to find, but there is a nice white sign at the end of the driveway along the sidewalk that says "Arcadia Par 3 Golf Course" for you to see where it is at. So far, I've only interacted with one staff member. His name is Tim, and he is incredibly friendly and helpful. He is a great representation of this golf facility. As for the practice facility, it's pretty basic. Plenty of tee boxes in the driving range and a nice, well kept green area to putt in. A handful of tee boxes in the driving range are occupied by junior golfers a majority of the time during the day, so just look out for that (unfortunately, those said tee boxes are the only ones covered by a canopy that provides shade; every other tee box is under the scorching hot sun). The golf course itself is not bad. Very simple par 3 course that ranges from 90 yards to 150 yards through all 18 holes. It's a great place to practice your short game, but it can get boring, using the same 3-4 clubs over and over and over (times 6) again. While this golf course is a par 3 course, it doesn't automatically make it easy. You still need to sink your putts and hit those chip shots perfectly, otherwise you'll be hitting one or two over and wondering why you're playing so poorly at a par 3 course. It's great practice though! Rates are super cheap. On weekdays, $7 early bird (6am-7am) fee and $13 throughout the day for 18 holes. Weekends go up to $16 I believe. I highly recommend this place! Good for hacks . par 3 course . longest hole is about 150 yards. I started here and i still go back sometime to sharpen up the short iron. Plus the best feeling in the world is to nail the ball dead on next to the flag stick from the tee on every single holes. Can't get that with par any other courses. read more

This is a great place to take kids. The par three course is short and easy to walk for them. I like that the range balls are always like new. There is always plenty of parking and the putting green is big enough that a bunch of people can be on it at the same time. I received very substandard service from a particular attendant named Andrew. I was right there at the ball dispenser at 8:59 p.m. and the door was neither closed nor locked. But he refused to let me get the golf balls claiming that his corporate time is different despite I showed him the time on my I-phone. Then I talked to my friend already there and realized that he's usually mean to the customers. I then went back and asked for his name and told him I am going to report his poor behavior to his superior. He still tried to make bad excuses to justify his action and I commented he was rigid and stupid. I went back to talk to my friend and he approached me and asked to talk to me on the side. I told him to talk to me right there. He told me that I was threatening him and told me I have to leave the premise. I told him to call the police and of course he would not. I was there just to have fun and enjoy my golf. But the fact that I received such horrible treatment was ridiculous. I urge the management to look at this situation seriously. Such employee can damage your reputation and they need major education and training to correct their unacceptable behavior or else. read more

Good place to kill time and not too crowded. Nice green for beginners

I practice here cause it's a few blocks away. The quality of the range balls are very bad. In a large bucket of balls, I would say that 70 to 80% are crappy, older golf balls, probably been in use for a year or two or more. Many are so old they almost have no dimples left. They seriously need to replace all the old balls with new range balls. The golf mats are decent, some are better than others, just depends on which one you get. The distance to the flag measurements are very accurate (compared them to my laser rangefinder). The range lights work pretty well at night. Lastly, the practice putting green has practically no break. It's only good for practicing speed and feel. read more

This is a great place to practice. If you are interested in getting better at golf Arcadia Par 3 is a good place to start. I suggest joining the players club if you plan on coming here consistently. The driving range is great but sometimes crowded. The course is a great place to test your short game and I have seen recent improvements being made. They have a short game practice that is not free but is worth it based on the condition. The putting green in the front is free but not very challenging. Most of the people are very friendly. Beware of the "Swing Police" and "Driving Range Trolls" that may creep around the driving range! They mean no harm and are easy to spot. If you see someone lurking behind you without golf clubs, trying to engage you in golf talk (and maybe politics or religion) they might be the one you want to avoid. Also, they may even work there! Otherwise, this is a great place to get started or come back to the game of golf! read more

This is a golf range that thinks they are pebble beach status but gives you Arcadia par 3 treatment. Service here is horrible but if you can stomach such treatment the range is decent. A large bucket runs about $12 which is quite pricey. Glenoaks in Glendora is much cheaper and they treat you like a valued customer. The balls here are in pretty good shape though. Watch out for the young workers especially ..they will treat you like you with no respect. Just like how this course has had numerous make over their service needs one as well. I've been coming here for about 7 years. It's one of my favorite par 3 courses to play. They recently added a game called soccer golf at the course and it has ruined my golf experience here. I won't be coming back. I am very disappointed that they made this change. I should not have to deal with soccer balls on the golf course. Someone is going to get hurt or their cart will fall into the soccer hole. Somebody must be trying to make a quick buck but little do they know that they will start to lose customers due to this ridiculous change. They lost one today. If I could put no stars I would. I was here today to try out this foot golf activity... and it's an awesome sport, if you call it a sport.. lol. I didn't like the fact that the foot golf course was situated with the golf course... So we would get stuck behind or in front of the golfers. They should separate the two activities because it's not even safe, and my husband estimated that we would have to wait an hour after we finished half of the course since we caught up with the golfers and got stuck in a large line. I gave it an extra star because the staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and nice. I have experienced better golf courses and my husband and I will find a better place to play footgolf.. Worst golf experience I've ever had. And I've golfed some horrible courses. This footgolf nonsense is absolute garbage. A friend and I went there this past weekend to have what we thought was going to be another relaxing quiet day at Arcadia like usual. Come here a thousand times before and had a blast. This time was crap. I didn't enjoy one second of my overpriced round of bullsh@t. I will never go there again. The dn footgolf players couldn't even walk the course they all had carts, so there's more annoyingness. So, if you want your round ruined by a bunch of hipster frat boys toting around on golf courses, screaming "ohhhh" at every single shot (kick?) they miss, leaving trash everywhere, and soccer balls rolling across your reebok mid swing, them by all means go visit this crap heap. Yes you hit off mats, but you have 18 chances here for a hole in 1! Fairways are whatever, but you should be getting on the green each time. Grass near the green is good for chips and lobs. Greens are good, you will have some small leaves here and there to pick up, and greens are soft, so fix your ball marks. About 2 - 2 1/2 hours for a round. You can find deals for under 10 bucks here. Our group of 7 was a bunch of middle aged men just enjoying the Sunday afternoon playing a friendly game of golf not doing anything wrong. The course was slow, no one behind us for about 2-3 holes so we decided to group up since we were having to wait on the slow group in front of us. Then the marshall who is an old grumpy man comes out and gives us a hard time about breaking up our group of 7 and we do what he asks even though we don't see a problem since we aren't holding up the course. Then he starts talking more trash to us and gets on us about our beers, telling us he's going to take our beers away since we didn't buy them from the shop. And if we don't he's going to call the cops. Thats when he pissed us off so we are like "wtf man? whats your problem?". Then he calls the cops and they come and kick us off the course. Bottom line is we weren't causing any problems, we were not being noisy drawing attention. This guy was just being a douche. Even the cops couldn't believe what they got called in for. They told us they were expecting a bunch of kids getting drunk causing problems. Nice course, well maintained but the old marshall there is a total idiot. Will never go there again. I hope everyone else chooses a different course to golf course as all the other courses I have been to, the marshalls there are friendly and do not look for little things to get anal about. Great place to practice on your short irons. You will go through this 18 hole par3 very quickly. Driving range is cool. Not too shabby. Great place to bring a beginner. Practice: The practice mats are divided to simulate 2 kinds of turf (firm and soft). Unfortunately, some mats are significantly worn. (Tip: Find a good practice mat before you plop down your gear) The main practice green doesn't have undulations - makes it good for beginners to practice straight putts. Most people don't know that you can pay $7 to use their short game practice facility on the other side of the range. Decent place to work through green-side shots. Play: Pace of play - VERY SLOW on weekends. This is a great place to bring beginners because there are plenty of other beginners. (Tip: The starter will usually let you jump to the back 9 first if you get held up at the 1st tee) Condition of Greens - Slow and bumpy. Easy to plug shots onto the green on the day after rain. (No real elevation changes and the yardage signs are almost always spot on: Yes, I brought my rangefinder to check...) This par 3 18-hole course is fun. Yes, you will tee off a mat, but your efficiency with your irons will improve. They have a great driving range. Part of it has an awning, so if you have time during the peak sun hours then at least you have shade to hit from. This is a great beginners course, for it will build your confidence. read more
