There were a couple of choices, but the Farmhouse Cafe was closest to the train station. We were rewarded for being practical. A couple of us love taking photos of great looking dishes and fun new eateries, but we were so bowled over by the menu and the service and the size of servings and the beautiful meals that we forgot. Among us, we had an omelet, a Rachel sandwich, loaded fries, and chicken and rice soup. Forty minutes later by the time anyone thought of photos, our plates were empty. We also ordered a side of toast to go with it. The soup was from the microwave, and served barely warm. You could easily taste it was made with frozen broccoli. The she said 'oh i forgot the toast' ok so warm up my soup and make some toast please. She put my soup back in the microwave and my friend was almost finished her soup and we still haven't gotten the toast. The girl working on the obviously complex job of making toast ask the cashier something and she replied verbatim 'just make 2 pieces of toast butter then and cut them in half'.... WOW. So needless to say we were both done our soup before the toast arrived. I'm still shaking my head and wished i had just ordered the coffee.

My salad was beautiful and well plated, but on the small size, leaving me with a lingering hunger at the end of my meal. There's 2 doors and people coming in from both directions making a mad scramble for any open seats. We saw people waiting for 20 minutes, without a waiter/waitress, and people who walked right-in and immediately got service. If this place was properly managed this would be a 5 star rating. They have a variety of mixed breakfast drinks, smoothies and breakfast food. I got 2 eggs, homefries, bacon and toast. My wife got a sausage breakfast burrito. The food was honestly really great! We also got coffee but refills were hard to come by. Our server was working hard, so I don't blame him, but the place was just too chaotic. Since this is a tourist destination with frequent surges in population these issues shouldn't exist. Your sit down breakfast options in town are limited so give it a try!
