Came on a Tuesday morning around 11. It is located in downtown riverside. Parking will probably be easiest parking in a nearby structure which usually have 2 hours free parking. When you arrive you order your coffee and food and take a seat. I had the eggnog cappuccino which was served very fast and tasty. The food on the other hand took awhile to be served which was a little disappointing. However both the veggie and pork belly sandwich were good. I would definitely come back for the pork belly sandwich and coffee. The interior of this coffee shop is very modern with lots of greenery. The location and design of this space are great for the aesthetic-seeking customer. However, the food was not it. Both food items were burnt. It seems they are still figuring out the kitchen part of the establishment. We had to look at a menu at the door and rushed to pick up our food items before being seated. You must also pay at the door and tip before enjoying your food. We were asked to sit at the high bar table by the window when four other tables were not being used (three of which sat two people each). I was told tables were for larger parties. This was a bit annoying as I prefer to use a table rather than a narrow bar table next to someone sipping coffee and working on their laptop. The flavor combination of the French toast was superb, but the bread itself was inedible as it was very burnt. The cornbread Benedict was very dry and very burnt. The bottom was a thick crust of charred bread. This was also served at warm/ almost room temperature. I spent about $55 on the items pictured. I was less than impressed. Maybe Sundays aren't a good day. Plenty of staff, yet our table was never frequented to see if we needed anything else. Bad vibes, figure out the burning of food situation and keep working on it; I have high hopes for you! Overall I recommend the coffee and pastries on the bar side. Arcade coffee is the best coffee I have ever had. I am a HUGE coffee fan and will drive miles for a good coffee, but luckily arcade is a Riverside local that MUST be known! Arcade is my top choice when in need of quality coffee and a focus space. They have three locations, but downtown is personally most convenient and spacious. I appreciate the diminutive details from numerous outlets to book bag hooks to padded seating and a clean bathroom which makes the experience much more fulfilling. It is rare to find businesses that holds themselves up to consistent standards while attending to customer accommodations but Arcade has nailed it! I have tried most of their drinks, but the star of the show would have to be the agave cardamom syrup! It has such a distinct flavor that enhances the espresso with its spice. They only offer three kinds of milk being whole, oat, or almond but maybe they could try offering house made plant milks for an up-charge in the future! Their cold brew always hits with its deep yet smooth complexion. However, the kombucha is quite refreshing but lacks that crisp fizziness. Something about open kitchens such as they have, enhance trust and confidence from the consumer who is able to speculate. They offer a wide variety of cuisine with locally sourced ingredients. Additionally, they have freshly made baked goods on the daily. Lastly, they have a running club every Thursday morning at 6:15 totaling 3 miles! read more

We wanted to try this place since the church we went was close by. It has a 4 1/2 star rating. It did not disappoint. The place is cozy. Our order was taken but didn't notice that one order was taken differently. Instead of the pork belly and grits the sandwich was rung up. For some reason we did not mention this to the server but she was sensitive enough to notice that something was wrong. It was actually partly our fault since we did not double check our order. today was the first day arcade downtown opened for dinner menu items. throughout the night, I noticed that every table was full and the ambiance lively. despite this, our waiter (Manny!! The very best!!) patiently went through menu items with us, recommended cocktails that would go well with our entrees, and made us feel so welcome. we didn't feel rushed at all and I was so grateful that so many people stopped by to check in on us + simply converse (Steve!!) and enthusiastically (at our request) share wine recommendations (Shane!!) with us. It was an incredible dining experience and I can't wait to come back to try the other menu items. Now for the FOOD: appetizers: - steak tartar: freaking amazing. 10/10. how did we get so much tartar. I'm amazed. - pappadelle: ok... I want to eat this every single day for the rest of my life. how incredible that something this delicious is offered as an appetizer!!! pappadelle for life!!! main dish: - rib eye: so good. this was supposed to be my partners dish but it was SO GOOD that I ended up eating a lot of it. In an effort to be fair I offered up part of my sea bass (although I did not want to) - sea bass: this fish melted in my mouth and I found it to be so so incredibly paired with the green curry (which was also SO GOOD)!! dessert: - panna cotta. just. *chefs kiss* cocktails: - the mezcal cocktail was my favorite and I loved how refreshing it was!! overall, left with a 13/10 satisfaction, feeling very full but not grossly so (which is incredible for 2 cocktails + 2 appetizers + 2 main dishes + dessert), and over dessert we found ourselves discussing what dishes we would eat next time. Finally tried this spot today and found it to be pretty disappointing. The staff was cordial and the coffee was fantastic (I had a cardamom latte with oat milk), so I have nothing negative to say about that, but the space itself left something to desired. First, the music was so loud I could barely hear the cashier, and the entire restaurant smells like burnt bread. The smell was pretty suffocating, actually, but I had no choice but to sit inside since all the available tables outside were dirty and hadn't been bussed yet. Sat along the wall near the window, which was lovely...until a party of 3 was sat RIGHT in front of me outside and then it was just really awkward because I felt like we were all kinda staring at each other. I ordered the "not an avocado toast" and it was strange at best. I get that it's their take on a classic, but instead of serving toast with avocado spread on it (like I've seen at literally every other restaurant with this dish on the menu), I was given the toast separately on a plate that was barely big enough to hold the bread, and then avocado on another plate. Not impressive in any way, shape, or form. The avocado was doused in some kind of oil that gave it a wet, goopy texture and it was absolutely smothered with sesame seeds, which added absolutely nothing (I was picking them out of my teeth for the next hour.) I had to awkwardly spread the avocado on the toast myself, which was also salted for some reason? The avocado itself was also totally overpowered with onions. Left feeling unsatisfied and annoyed. Will definitely stick with the Canyon Crest location if I patronize Arcade again. read more

Post-Sunday Worship Service -- looking for a brunch place nearby or on the way home and saw this here on Yelp! First thing that caught my eye was the interior and then the rib eye plate. Absolutely no regrets and all love here! Customer service is exceptional and more so the food!!! Their coffee (ordered an iced matcha latte with oatmilk and lavender) was so clean, so pure. And their yuzu green tea (hot) was lovely. Ordered the steak + eggs and cornbread + crab benedict -- *amazing*. That may have just been truly the best steak I have ever had (and the side country potatoes might as well be the best too haha). It was perfectly seasoned and cooked, and easily cut with the butter knife. That green onion butter is wonderful. Floral accents pleasantly complimented the java blue crab. The actual act of eating and tasting was seriously so pleasant. Might as well add that even their napkins were of high quality and I think also admirably sustainable. Will for sure be spreading the word and bringing company. Such a lovely experience, and it was our first brunch as a married couple. read more
