I used AT Moving Services about a month ago for my move. It's unfortunate that I have to leave this…read morereview but I feel like I need to share my experience. I moved from one apartment building to another that was located 1 mile apart from each other. I had to reserve the freight elevator at both apartment buildings for my move. We planned for 8am, as I had the elevators at both locations rented from 8am-12pm, as other tenants had the elevators reserved after me. I tryto give the benefit of the doubt, but by 9:15am I tried to call, and then finally messaged through yelp to get ahold of Alex, the owner. He stated that they would be there by 9:45am. Okay... that's fine as it still gives us 2 hours to move but this was just the beginning. At 10:10am I receive a message from one of AT Moving Services employees stating that he would arrive in 1-2 hours! That pushes the original time back to 11am-12pm! This is when it became an issue as they were originally supposed to be there around 8am, and we are now pushing it 3-4 hours past the original time. I was told they were having issues with their truck, and they kept trying to fix it and couldn't solve the unidentifiable issue, even though the truck was fine the day before. It didn't sound too promising. The two movers showed up at 11:45am, leaving 15 minutes of my 4 hour reservation window to utilize the elevators at my building. Though I wasn't too happy, the movers were finally there. And issues continued to arise. They removed the cushions from my expensive white couch and were dragging them on the floor to carry them out to their van. I had 2 boxes that were clearly marked "FRAGILE" on all sides, but they both became crushed, breaking some glassware. My white TV stand was moved by standing it up on their red moving dolly, leaving scratches and red paint on the sides. My white drawer units were slid on concrete causing the wood to splinter. Also blankets were not used for items such as my TV! It was just placed standing up in the back of their van (see photo). I cannot recommend AT Moving Services when it comes to moving from one residence to another. There was a lack of care with my items, and wouldn't want anyone else to go through that. I feel as if there should be more customer focus. I still paid the original quoted price, and tipped the movers. UPDATE: Owner states they never did this move and referred me to another company, which is not true. This move took place on March 20, 2021. I have uploaded screenshots of our messages. There was no mention of utilizing another company, and the 2 movers were representing AT Moving Services.

I don't usually take the time to write reviews, but I genuinely felt this one was well-deserved. I…read morerecently used Haul Bros Moving Co. for my move from a 2-bedroom condo in Alexandria to a single-family home in Burke, and I can honestly say it was the smoothest move I've ever had. l've moved 4 times in the last 7 years, and I've worked with both large national companies and smaller local ones, and these guys really stood out. I found Haul Bros through a recommendation in a local Facebook group. I was hesitant at first since I hadn't heard of them before, but from the first interaction, I felt at ease. Sayed, the owner, was very professional and responsive. He answered all my questions, gave me a clear estimate based on the inventory I sent, and didn't try to upsell me or rush the process. He even followed up the day before the move to confirm everything and offered advice on how to prep items to save time. The crew arrived right on time at 8:00 AM, wearing branded shirts and ready to go. I was immediately impressed by how organized they were. They walked through the house with me first, asked thoughtful questions, and then got straight to work. They brought everything they needed-moving blankets, dollies, tools, shrink wrap, you name it One of the guys even brought an extra mattress cover for me since I didn't have one. That attention to detail meant a lot. They were incredibly careful with my furniture. I had a few delicate items like a large mirror from my grandmother, and a glass coffee table and they were wrapped and secured better than I've seen with any other movers. Not a single scratch or ding. They also handled my washer and dryer (which I was nervous about), disassembled them carefully, and reinstalled them at the new place. What really stood out was how hardworking and respectful the team was. No standing around, no cutting corners, and no bad attitudes. They worked steadily the whole time, even when it started drizzling in the afternoon. They laid down runners to protect the floors, helped with last-minute items I forgot to pack, and asked me multiple times if there was anything else they could do to help. They even helped move a few items into my garage that weren't part of the original list-at no extra charge. Once we got to my new place, they reassembled everything, placed furniture exactly where I wanted it, and double checked that everything was good before leaving. The whole move took just under 6 hours, and the final price was right in line with the original estimate. No hidden fees, no surprises-just honest, quality service. To be honest, I was expecting the usual moving day stress, but Haul Bros completely changed that experience for me. They were reliable, professional, affordable, and kind. You can tell this company is run by people who actually care about their work and their customers. If you're reading this and thinking about which moving company to go with this is the one. I already recommended them to two of my coworkers and will absolutely be using them again if I ever need to move. Thank you, Sayed and the Haul Bros team, for making a stressful process so much easier. You've definitely earned a lifelong customer.
