I had high hopes after talking to friends. I had stuff to drop off and then decided to head inside. Drop off went great. The workers were quick and polite. The drop off line moved fast. Inside the place looked nice and clean. The stuff was organized well. I even found a few shirts I liked. Grabbed them and headed to check out. That's where it went downhill. The employee checking me out didn't seem personable at all. I handed over the shirts and said "Here are the hangers, you probably want them." "Not really" he replied and tossed the hangers behind him. He then scanned my tags and stood there quietly. I assumed he was ready for me to pay. I scanned my card and he just stood there. It was an amazing feeling to be falsely accused of smoking a vape pen after I spent $60 here. My boyfriend paid and as we left, a rainbow-haired human with a mission said "please don't do that in here". I said, " do what?" He said, "I saw smoke come out of your mouth!" I emptied out my pockets for him and he stormed off cursing me out. (I understand there are two rainbow-haired employees but you will know which one I'm talking about. ) What a stable human you have that decides to confront a person as they've spent money immediately after they've said goodbye to their friendly cashier. I hope this person is just as embarrassed as me. The other employees were caught off guard and looked confused like this happens all the time. Please put this person back in the sorting room where they can take out their anger on inanimate objects. I come here once a week while I'm doing laundry. This used to be my safe space. I love the sweet little older ladies that baby the heck out of me and I would NEVER vape inside any establishment. Do better please. read more

Prices are abit ridiculous until half price Saturday and even then, some things just too high. Some stuff shouldn't even be for sale when it's covered in cat hair or fuzz bally. Electronics dont seem to work more often than not. Jewelry counter has too much costume Jewelry under lock & key. It also takes too long to get waited on when you do want something. I was yelled at for getting stuff animal that was in opened case. It shouldn't have been in case to start with. Staff is very friendly. read more

Prior to yesterday I'd have told you how Arc is the best about my pet peeve - by calling or looking online, you make sure that a place accepts the item you want to donate, but when you get there, they're like "no, we don't accept that". But, yesterday that happened at this Arc with a working-perfectly, fresh-Windows-installed Lenovo laptop. My protests that Arc's website says they accept computers fell on deaf ears. read more

My issues with the Arc in Loveland ( which is only the one I am familiar with) is this: Their prices are all over the place. I see items that sell new for $1.25 there marked up as high as $5.00 and the item is not in new condition. The other issue I have is this. I frequently buy art that I like there and they often insist on putting the price tag on the mat, now I have to take apart the framing and get a new mat and have it reframed because taking that price tag off tears the mat. Having the piece reframed makes the art work so expensive it's not really not worth buying unless you just want the frame. We've been to this Arc a few times but our most recent trip was my favorite! We're in the process of switching over from teflon pans to all stainless steel and have had a really hard time finding any new 12" frying pans or saute pans larger than 3qt. This last time we went, about a week and a half ago, we found a 12" frying pan, a 5qt saute pan, a 3qt sauce pan -- all stainless -- and a lid for the sauce pan for only $18! The sauce pan is Farberware brand, too, which I was excited about because over the summer we bought a new Farberware stainless set to start us off. All for less than $20. Just the sauce pan would've been $20 new. What a steal! You never know what you're going to find there and I think that's the charm of thrifting. read more

I've spent a lot of money in this store and always enjoyed shopping there... but today was an exception, I had picked up a metal table and put it in my cart and was still deciding if I really wanted to buy it when one of the cashiers came up and very rudely said that it was someone else's table and the she had the ticket for it, when I had picked it up it had no ticket so I was suprised that I was being accused of ripping off the ticket that I never saw, not everything is the way you think it is, I would never take someone else's merchandise. I was bummed when Big Lots closed. I was dubious when ARC opened. ARC is just not the same as Big Lots. This ARC is always well organized, the shelves are neatly stocked, and the dressing rooms are clean. The "all tickets 50% off" sales are fantastic! The only thing that disappoints me is the selection in the furniture area. I don't even venture over most times. It's all junky, with a "k" not a "q". I got hooked on thrift stores when I was 15. I could find all kinds of unique and funky threads to create my signature look. Now, I must admit, I'm a rather boring dresser. Nicely dressed, classic and sporty, mind you, but nothing that would get your attention from down the block. I shop ARC and all my other favorite thrifts, because I fear for my life of all the junk and garbage and waste that people create. Thrifting!! It's green, it's always a treasure hunt, and I can save some bucks and go spend it on restaurants and yelp about that! read more

SAD! 90 year old mother vacated her apartment after living there for 27 years. Had very nice items to donate. Large donation being dropped off by a moving truck $$$. VERY RUDE attendant stated we could not leave furniture even though I called a week in advance for approval. Why am I sad, because my mother donated her precious items that she could no longer keep to ARC to help others in need and they acted like it was an INCONVENIENCE! I Highly doubt this employee will be employed at ARC much longer but if he is I am sure he will be just as obnoxious and turn off Many more customers! Will find other donation store the next time we donate! :( read more

Love this thrift store - I often stop in on my way home from work, and always leave with something new to me! they have a great selection of home goods, shoes, clothes for both men and women, and furniture. Prices are always great and I always leave with an arm full of new* things for about $20! Its clean, staff is friendly - all around a great shop. Cant beat it. read more

Today i had one of the worst experiences at the Loveland drop of site. I pulled up with my truck and i had a tall dresser in the back. An older guy that had been standing around yelled at me telling me i was going to need to pull my truck up. He did not tell me how far i needed to pull up and yelled at me again to stop when i had gone far enough. I did not have any help unloading the dresser from anyone there and i did not have anyone offer to unload the dresser at all. I am female and unloading the dresser by myself was very difficult. The older guy continued to just stand around and bark orders at the two other younger guys that were at the drop off site. The older guy yelled at me telling me that i was going to need to put the dresser drawers in the dresser. So i did, I did not appreciate being yelled at to do something. So all the drawers were put in the dresser and a younger guy came over and picked up the dresser with a dolly and took it away. The older guy said thank you but it was the type of thank you that was disingenuous. So i will not be taking my donations to this drop off site. If i have anything to donate i will find other place or means to get rid of what i have. read more

It seems like in the past few years just about every thrift store has been going down hill steadily. This Arc is no exception. If you know how to shop and don't mind leaving empty handed most of the time you can still find a decent deal, but the great deals are very few and far between. It is kind of fun playing a game where you see how many things you can find that you can buy new for cheaper than what they charge, and sometimes that's true even after the shabby 50% off sales. They also like to charge insane prices for broken press-board furniture, couches that smell like pee or a wide variety of empty boxes or devices missing the more important parts. In one case, we found a white onesie (baby shirt thing) for $2 that had a brown stain covering about 3/4th the back. Call me crazy but I think I'd rather just buy a new one for the same price without the 'art'. read more

I am a HUGE fan of thrift stores and consider myself to be quite the thrift store expert. This is the best thrift store I've ever been to! It was GIANT and well organized! Every single member of my family found some sort of treasure and I saw lots of happy strangers with their arms full of awesome stuff. My mom was able to find several great jackets and some Eddie Bauer shirts (which have a lifetime guarentee so are basically thrift store gold). My sister got an amazing weekender bag, a vintage scarf, and a super cute FireKing bakewear dish. I found some GlasBake and a lid for one of my lidless pyrex dishes at home. So if you want clothes, they have it. If you want great vintage kitchen stuff, they have it. Bags? They have it. Basically we were just super happy. And Tuesday's is Senior Day and everything is 50% off if you're over 55. Since we had mom with us, it meant the prices were even more amazing than expected. I'm so glad we decided to stop in. It went above and beyond our expectations. read more
