Goodwill Store & Donation Center - June 2024 lots of new flip flops at checkout aisle

First time visiting this location! I was genuinely…read moresurprised how clean and organized the displays were. They had a lot of variety as well! Though I was greeted upon entering because staff wasn't immediately there, when I sought help, they readily assisted me. I will say the prices here are definitely a bit higher for location and compared to other similar second hand stores. Prices were clearly marked. Even the clothing items were neatly hanged and in the appropriate size sections. I came in looking for 2 specific items. Found one around the price I wanted and not the other. Bought a large turkey pan that was on a color ticket 30% off sale that came out just under $7. It had some rust on it, but that's ok. I was able to clean most of it. They had multiple turkey pans for sale to my shock. Only one cashier at checkout, so the line was a bit of a wait. But not horrible. Their return policy is clearly displayed at the cash register which is standard for most goodwills policy. So not sure why some would complain about the clearly marked return policy? The aisle to cashier had lots of new display items for sale as well like brand new flip flops. So that was really nice to keep one entertained while waiting to check out. I would stop back if only in the area, but probably won't go out of way to return. I'd also likely shop the discount color tag specials as well given the higher prices at this store. But overall, it's a clean and well organized store, easy to get to location with plenty of parking! Definitely worth stopping and checking it out!

The manager who was there in the evening on a Wednesday night was so ungracious and rude. The way…read moreshe talked to us gave us the feeling that she wanted to "wash her hands of us and be done;" she wanted us gone so she could go back to goofing off. Description of manager (no name tag): female; 5'3-5'4; fluffy build with long straight brown hair. We got children's books (obvious children's books: thin picture books for elementary ages) that had a sign for 99 cents and they were rung up at $1.99, the price of adult books. We he cashier couldn't void the receipt so she called the manager who said that they don't take books back. My reply was, "We just bought them and haven't even left the register area" I just wanted the books for the posted price; the $5 overcharge wasn't my issue; it was the fact that I checked my receipt because I'm ALWAYS overcharged at this goodwill... and sure enough, this was no exception. Normally I don't realize it til I get home and then I just deal with it. But I'm tired of that issue. So the manager made a correction; actually OVERCORRECTING and giving us $10 back vs $5, but before I could say anything, she said, "Here. Just take these," in a tone dripping with disdain, and shoved them across the counter at me as she turned to walk away. I DON'T feel better about the $10. I DON'T feel better that I stood up for myself. And that is really sad. At the end of the day, everyone just wants to be treated fairly in business transactions (no matter how "small") and wants to be treated with kindness as a person.

The store & all of its booths is clean, well organized & there are goodies for most anyone. As I was paying, I tried to talk with a woman who was tall with short dark hair. (I don't know how else to describe her without being rude.) She was probably around 50+. She was brusque and snotty. I would say almost condescending. The point of this review is to tell people the shop is well organized & that the people are rude. If rudeness doesn't bother you, you are likely to find some good treasures. There are at least 2-3 other antique/flea markets next door to this one. I would start with them. Stars-a two for the humans & a five for the store.

There are very tastefully presented displays to just stuff all over the place. This is the kind of store to really browse and dig in. Up near the front register there were piles of fabric seemly jumbled in precarious stacks. Elsewhere there are locked glass cases shiny with jewelry and baubles. Some booths had themes like books and media. Others had a real hodgepodge. I especially enjoyed looking at the vintage dressers and refinished furniture. Bookguy found some old sheet music and dvds which made him happy.
