The facilities are immaculate and the staff caring, friendly, and extremely competent. When my grandparents first moved in, my grandfather was just beginning to have his health failing, so they moved into a two bedroom apartment. They were extremely hesitant about moving into a senior care center such as this, having had very bad experiences in the past with you typical stereotype "Nursing Homes" in the 70s and 80s. However, we had really high hopes that conditions have improved. BOY HAVE THEY! Both of my grandparents really enjoyed the social activities, scheduled outings, movies and cultural programs, and even athletic programs such as aerobics and WII bowling. They also rave about the food. The chef and all of the dining staff, as well as the building staff in general are great. They really take an interest in the residents and treat them like family. They also have shuttle services to take the residents to doctors appointments, grocery shopping, and even occasional shows and outings. If I need a live in care center at that age, I will be happy if it is close to as great as Concordia.

For the first 10 years, they could not have been more satisfied. In 2019 a consistent number of personal and physical setbacks altered their situation and their needs. While upholding the policies of Concordia as far as moving from one level of care to another, they moved into assisted living for a short time. Just a few months into their move to assisted living, Dad's decline accelerated to the point of needing long term care. The staff were compassionate, attentive and supportive. Both Mom and Dad felt loved. is Concordia perfect? No. Where is?

After a few months, we moved him over to The Arbor Memory Care because of change in his health. Again, the employees jumped over hoops to make sure he was happy. I truly feel funny calling them employees., because they are more like extended family to us as well as dad. Now, dad is in the final stages of his life on hospice at The Arbor, and I want everyone to know that there can't possible be a better place for his last days then being cared for by these wonderful people with such huge hearts. I found Mill Creek to be the highest quality home in the area. The staff that cares for my wife are great. The food is very good. She is eating more and better than she was at home. The home is nicely decorated and clean. No odor. They have more activities than any home I have ever seen. Doubly important when treating dementia residents. This is not a skilled nursing home, but a home designed for treating dementia. The staff are specifically trained on how to care for dementia residents. Based on my extensive healthcare experience and my undying love for my girl I can highly recommend Mill Creek.

There is absolutely no security in the building anywhere. Residents are allowed to live here even with dementia and have stoves and refrigerators in apartments. No supervision. The nationwide company was sold to an investment company in Japan a year ago. Since then, quality has gone down dramatically. Food quality is horrible. Food service is bad. Often taking 45 minutes before food arrives. Residents allowed to smoke inside. One elevator for all 3 floors and does break down. There are limited washers and dryers in building. Frequently these are broken. Director of facility is unresponsive to resident needs. Frequently sits outside smoking on front porch. Since she came on board many of the staff have resigned. Residents have reported having items stolen.
