Really nice locksmith :) The ignition cylinder on my car had apparently gotten worn out and jammed, and the towing guy from Professional Towing (J Rod) suggested Jose at A.R.C Mobile Locksmith as a guy with reasonable rates and gave me his card. After my usual mechanic (4 B Auto) told me that a locksmith would be able to get it done for me faster, since they weren't specialized and might have a harder time locating the right parts, I gave him a call. Since my dad was visiting, he dropped me off at work and then met Jose to get the cylinder replaced after the right parts had been located and acquired. By Dad's account, Jose was a really nice guy and took the time to explain what he was doing and how the lock worked (Dad and I are both engineers, so we like seeing this kind of stuff--Dad showed me later, as he kept the old cylinder, and it's pretty cool). Jose also pays a lot of attention to detail, finding me new key blanks that would look exactly like the set being replaced (they were quite worn and he suggested a new key or two to prevent trouble in the future) and also noticing how much nicer the escutcheon on the original cylinder was and reusing that rather than putting in the new, less legible escutcheon, which I really appreciated. And even though Jose took longer than he thought he would to replace the cylinder (the old one was really, really stuck), he only charged for the time quoted, which was damn decent of him :) If you need any sort of locksmith work, especially on your car, I think this is the guy to call :D Thanks, Jose! read more

Need: two doors locks changed (handle and deadbolt) and one handle's core replaced. Initial call: called Jose at about 12/1pm and he said he could come to my house around 5 that day - very quick timing! Super impressed! Service appointment: Jose called to let me know when he was on his way, arrived promptly, took his shoes off in my house per my request (and made sure to do so after every trip back out to his truck) and completed the service in about an hour. He gave me three copies of the new key too. Pricing: I ended up paying around $116, which was actually less than his initial $125 estimate. I thought that was pretty reasonable for what I needed, but don't have a ton of experience with locksmiths. Overall: quick scheduling, great service, competitive pricing - 5 stars! Highly recommend! I cant tell you how stressed I was before jose came to my house. He saved the day! He fixed a very difficult lock and helped me reinstalled it. Called A.R.C. Mobile Locksmith based on the existing reviews. The ignition key for our 2001 Toyota Seinna was binding. Just managed to get it started and drove straight home. Called another locksmith that was recommended to me and was told that I did not need a locksmith, but a mechanic (really!). Called A.R.C. on a Friday afternoon and spoke with Jose. He was not available that day and offered to come out the following Monday. After some discussion, he agreed to work with our schedule and came out the very next day (Saturday). He qave me an initial cost estimate of $150 and explained that it could be more if he had to replace the ignition cylinder rather than rebuild it. Yes, rebuild it! Rather than take the easy route and just have me pay for a new lock cylinder he was going to try to repair the one we had. I felt better about my decision to call A.R.C. already. Jose came out the next day and worked on our Seinna a good hour and a half to two hours. He was able to rebuild the ignition cylinder and explained everything he was doing as he was doing it. Made two new keys for us as the old ones were beginning to wear. Total cost to repair the lock was $160.93. Jose was very professional, called to let us he was on the way with an ETA, explained what he hoped to do, and what he was doing as he was doing it. I don't recommend to many businesses or keep many names and numbers on file, but Jose and A.R.C. Mobile Locksmith will definitely will be on that list. read more

Somehow we managed to lose BOTH keys to our storage unit. I called and left a message for Jose and he called me back in less than 30 minutes. He was booked solid but gave me two possible times for the next day. He called me to update and met me at the storage facility. HE tried to save the lock for possible rekeying, but finally had to drill it out. It all took less than 20 minutes. He also gave me some free advice about the lock on the construction fence at my property. He was cheerful, polite, and had a great sense of humor. This is the best mobile locksmith ever!!! 1) This is run by a single professional who has everything together. 2) I found him on Craigslist on a Saturday after having been locked out of a sensitive UHaul - which automatically locks the entire van when you close A single door (a defect at best). 3) He arrived as promptly as anyone could ever travel. 4) He opened the Van in less than one minute - I think perhaps 30 seconds, without any damage to the vehicle at all - a great relief - and this Van was designed to be theft proof. 5) He charged only $50.00 when other locksmiths asked for $130 plus for the same job. 6) He has an electronic reader for credit/debit cards and sends the customer an email of the invoice - paperless innovation moving forward. . 7) He is a kind human being - a rare thing in business these days.
