Terrible service and communication! I called and requested a ceiling light repair. They scheduled me for a Thursday but the guy never showed up. He finally called and said he will come back the following day at 3pm. The next day he never showed up or called back. I called their office and they told me I had to reschedule with them and not the electrician. The electrician never told me that I had to call the office to reschedule. DO NOT use this company! We had issues with our wired smoke detector - the wiring to the alarm chirping incessantly at odd hours of the day for no reason, even after we disconnected the device and also changed the device entirely; the chirping was coming from within the ceiling where the wiring is housed. We googled and YouTubed and did our own diagnostics before calling anyone, and determined it was likely issues with the wiring as the brand new device also chirped for hours on end - if it happens with two different devices then it's not the device, that's tech support 101. Since it's a holiday week we had a hard time getting electricians to return our calls. We were able to make an appointment with ARC and they charged $69 just to come to our door then another $150 to "diagnose" the issue. The technician was late and couldn't figure out the issue but charged us anyways, no diagnosis was even really done, nothing was fixed, he didn't seem to understand the problem, and we paid over $200 just for a guy to read the wired smoke detector manual, Google the issue, and stand on a ladder for an hour. I explained the issue multiple times. I work in tech support, I did my due diligence first. He then reconnected the OLD, EXPIRED smoke detector and said it works (this is now a safety hazard seeing as it's expired), told us when these homes were inspected the inspector would've checked the wiring so it's probably not the wiring, then when he was leaving he made a comment about hope it doesn't keep happening. Literally nothing was fixed, he was looking up the info about the smoke detector on his phone as I repeatedly said it's not an issue with the smoke detector, if it were then installing the new one would've fixed the issue, but it didn't. Our issue is inconsistent, the chirping happens at random and stops when we pull the wires out of the ceiling, which signifies it's clearly a wiring issue. We wasted a very precious $200+ and way too much time. We turned down additional "diagnostics" as we were clearly already being scammed. I cannot stress this enough - Find a more reputable electrician. This was a complete scam and money that should've been spent toward getting the issue actually fixed so the random midnight and 5am chirping stops. I agree with the other reviewers, this company makes their money off of charging BS fees and never actually does any work. read more

I scheduled engineers to come to my property and accepted the $69 service fee, however before they would diagnose the problem they then stated an additional diagnostic fee (over $200, for fixing two outlets, so total would be close to $300 before confirmation of fixing anything!) needed to be collected before they would look into the problem. This is totally dishonest, taking advantage of customers and I would avoid this company at all cost. read more

This outfit has help us in many ways. 1. Set up home backup generator. Generac never responded to our request. ARC did. 2. Fix our well water pump power to allow a small generator to back up pump during power failure. 3. Procurement of small generator. Delivered and set up. 4. Prompt and professional, but I would not use again. My gripe: The electrician presented me three choices ($600, $3500, $7,000) but all I wanted/needed and had called about was the lower price service. Now, no issues with ARC trying to generate additional revenue but unfortunately that service I chose they call "The Band Aid Option" suggesting a temporary, kludgey, cheap or unreliable repair. So I had previously reviewed ARC Electrical Services, giving it 3 stars, not a bad review, but I had given them this rating because I felt that there was certain communication from them that was incomplete or inaccurate regarding the EV charger I was recommended to purchase and the capabilities of the circuit installed at our home, used for this charger. After explaining this to Domingo and Victor at ARC, they went above and beyond, and gave me a partial refund on the work performed, which was very fair. Do not make the mistake of calling this business. Unscrupulous business practice. Treks you that you have to pay $69 for someone to show up to give your ABC estimate. This is fine as most then put that towards the cost of repair. Except for my five minute strip of wires and add connectors Victor have new an estimate over $325!!! He figured I would post it since the electrician is standing there. He is not transparent about his pricing. He does not communicate well. And his exorbitant prices are the whitest value one to get. I suspect He collects the $69 more often than getting a job done. He tried to tell me this is the first time this ever happened. Don't use these guys. They are just a bunch of hustlers. We had a Casablanca fan with a light that stopped working. They charged $69 to come out and diagnose the problem. They said that they would deduct the service charge if we had them do the work. The electrician merely presses the light switch and diagnosed that it was a burned out motor. I told them that in that case, I have an another light fixture that can be swapped out for the fan/light. Then the electrician said he didn't have an almond colored switch plate and that he would need to go into town to buy that (time on the clock). I said we had another wall plate that he could use. Next, he wanted to do a whole house inspection. I declined that. He originally said that the charge was $165 minus the $69 service charge. But when he came back with the paperwork it was for $234 and said he couldn't deduct the service call. Just a bunch of scammers. Call someone else. read more

Well, not sure I can give any stars regarding the work because I did not get any work done. I was told that an electrician will come out for $69 service fee. May be most of you are familiar with the term "service fee", but $69 is service fee is just to come to your place. Then there is additional diagnostic fee (around 370 for my one circuit failure), which they didn't tell me at the time of scheduling an appointment. I clearly told them in messaging about my problem. So, just for those who are ignorant about the "service fee," please ask for all possible fees. read more

We did the electrical panel upgrade project with ARC. They did the decent job finishing the work even though we had some troubles and delays with the PGE for the permits, approvals, connect and disconnect. I think its just part of the process. Victor sent the technician Carlos who is very knowledgable and spent extra day as PGE asked to make few changes. Victor and his team came in Aug 2019 to move some outlets and add a few outlets to my church for an expansion project. He was responsive and we met to go over the details. The quote was good and he was able to complete the work quickly. We also requested that he file a permit with the town for the modifications. ARC took care of all the paperwork and scheduled the inspector to come review the work. The only downside was that they were unable to sit and wait for the inspectors long timeslots (similar to waiting for Comcast), when they had other clients they needed to get to. His team was knowledgeable and easy to work with, would rehire for future projects. read more

This negative review has been in the works since 2020 when we hired ARC to replace our existing landscape lighting. The initial installation was done by very young service people who appeared to have little experience and were sloppy and lazy with burying the lighting wire. We experienced a couple of hiccups with the initial service which Victor, the owner, rectified. Fast forward to June 2022 when the timing mechanism on our lights stopped working. After contacting ARC, we were told that: "We could def go out it would be $115. Im sure if theres anything wrong with equipment it would be covered under warranty material from manufacturer". ARC came out and advised us that one of the transformers needed to be replaced. To this day (December 2022), we have heard nothing back from ARC, despite repeated email requests and being told that "if theres anything wrong with equipment it would be covered under warranty material from manufacturer". The question remains: Why haven't we heard back and why hasn't the transformer been replaced? What possible reason could there be? Supply-chain issues? We're happy to pay for their time but we don't think we should have to pay for a new transformer. As it stands now, my husband goes out every night and turns the front lights on and off. For that reason, I can't recommend ARC. read more

Extremely disappointed with my experience. I had an appointment scheduled with an arrival time of 12-2pm. After reaching out multiple times via phone call, text message and Thumbtack, I received a text message at 2:25pm saying that the person was in route and sent me pictures of a truck with a flat tire and on a hitch. Competent electrical work in a wide variety of tasks. Knowledgeable installing and modifying high-power commercial/industrial, 3-phase 208 and 480 volt wiring for industrial machinery. We used ARC three times to install new electrical feeds for new machinery in our shop and to install additional lighting fixtures. Quick response when called, reasonable pricing, and efficient (fast) work for overall good value. Normally gets work done with minimal direction, but complex work requires written instructions to get all details of work done as wanted. Overall very satisfied with work performed, but sometimes minor details get overlooked and require rework, which gets done promptly. read more

I did not received anything for a week. When I called they said they would need me to paid the bill in order to receive a proposal. I am very disappointed.
