They still have the table full of hoagies like before, I did find out whatever is left goes in the cooler for people who come in the next day at opening. This time I was able to order a fresh one, now just to let you all know if you ask how, it comes its only meat and cheese, so if you want LTO you have to ask. I am trying their Old-World Italiano which has Prosciutto di Parma, Suppressant, Genda Salami, Ham & Provolone cheese. You know I had to do "mayo no dressing" because I hate when my sub gets soggy. Today's video is a subscriber request from Tyler who watches us from the great city of Chicago Illinois. This was a great tasting sub, I was able to taste the freshness of the meats and cheese, I also had some of their chicken soup which hit the spot on a cold night, it was loaded with rice, carrots, celery, and of course chicken. The Pitt Stop Deli is a small convenience store with a full cold and hot hoagie station serving up all kinds of tasty options. I chatted with Skip, the owner, who mentioned they now accept EBT cards for items like bread, cereal, and milk. Today, I'm heading to the hot side of the grill for a meatball hoagie. Off camera, I asked if the meatballs were homemade, and he explained they come from another establishment--so yes, they're homemade, just not here. This was your classic meatball sub: toasted bun, melted mozzarella, and packed with flavorful, piping-hot meatballs. Even though it's a store, they have a spot where you can sit and enjoy your breakfast, lunch, or dinner if you'd rather eat in than take out. They're open seven days a week until at least 9 PM, so there's no excuse not to stop by and give them a try. Until next time, be blessed and stay safe.
