We got the #2 which is 2 chicken sliders and fries. $15. We got them at "hot" level. This place seemed comparable to "Stripes" in Albuquerque so we decided to give it a try. I thought the heat was going to come from the drizzle I could see in some people's photos but it comes from a dusting over the crust - which was a nice surprise. Hot, juicy, full of flavor with a heat level that did not disappoint. One of us would not opt for a hotter flavor and one of us thought this was enough heat Nice job - worth the money. This is a new restaurant to Dickson City. I love hot chicken, so the name got me. Menu is small. Sometimes, small is good. BUT, they are on the "pricy" side. My dad almost $#!¥ himself when he saw the total. He was paying. lol. Service was okay. You order at the counter and they give you a buzzer. Unfortunately, ours didn't work (didn't go off) so our order sat at the counter for a short while. I heard them calling a number, so I looked at my receipt and saw they were calling me. I had heard about this chain and had been wanting to give it a try. Where we live it's not close to home so I hadn't gone there but on a roadtrip we needed a late dinner and we stopped in this location for take out. The place was hopping busy and a bit chaotic but the staff and the guy I assumed was the manager were hustling to keep everything moving. We got our order in about 10 mins and took it to our hotel. We opted for two sliders - one mild and one medium. I think they had seven levels of spice. All they deal in is chicken tenders. They were moist but I thought the coating /rub was too much. The heat level was OK but I just didn't love the heavy amount of rub. The seasoning on the fries was great and they stay crispy for a long time. The prices are OK. Grabbed take out on opening weekend. Yes, a long wait was to be expected. I think I waited about 20 or so minutes which wasn't that bad. Ordered the chicken tender and slider combo. Got hot heat level. The heat level is perfect for me as I could still taste the chicken flavor while enjoying that Nashville Hot Chicken heat. The chicken is pretty good comparatively considering other fast food joints. Juicy enough, crispy enough. Added cheese because who doesn't love cheese, also accepted the kale slaw. The kale slaw added nothing except maybe a slight more texture; could take or leave it. The fries were the best part though; seasoned with some blend that made them pop. Portion size was just large enough to justify the over priced fare Dave's offers. In this area Dave's is a welcomed addition to me. There are quite a few fast food restaurants around here and while Chick Fil A is great this is better to me, because I love Nashville Hot Chicken. I'll go as often as I can. My Fiancé and I have been dying to try Dave's... and it did not disappoint! The staff was overly friendly, and if not behind the counter working, they were on the floor making sure the place was spotless. The owner came over and had a friendly conversation after seeing that we were struggling from the "Carolina reaper" level of heat he kindly brought over a milkshake to help extinguish the fire in our mouths. Today was my first time at a Dave's Hot Chicken. the first thing I noticed is that they don't have the assortment of sauces like Chick-Fil-A. I got 2 tenders and fries with pickles and 'Dave's Sauce.' The chicken was perfectly cooked, not dry, and very tasty. After trying 'Dave's sauce' I am no longer upset that they didn't have a larger selection. Not sure what is in it, but it was good. I thought 12.99 was a bit steep for 2 tenders and a small order of fries, but I guess it falls in line with everyone else. Dave's Hot Chicken was created by best friends Dave Kopushyan, Arman Oganesyan, and Tommy and Gary Rubenyan. Dave, a chef trained in Thomas Keller's (French Laundry) organization set out to create the perfect Hot Chicken by searching, tasting, and frying. The four friends scrounged up $900 to put a tiny stand in an East Hollywood parking lot. The menu was simple, and chicken was the star. And what chicken it is! Sourced and prepared to be the juiciest and most tender imaginable with each piece topped with Dave's own mix of spices ranging from "Mild" to "The Reaper". Arman created Instagram buzz and the lines began to grow. Two nights later, Eater/LA showed up to see what the fuss was about. The next morning's headline read "East Hollywood's Late Night Chicken Stand Might Blow Your Mind". Almost instantly, the lines stretched around the block. A year later, the boys had the money to open a shop in a hip strip-mall with de_cor by local street artists, where the crowds continued to grow with wait-times of an hour and more. From there, the incredibly craveable "Hot and Spicy" varieties have created a cult following with rave reviews across the U.S. and Canada.

History

Established in 2017.

In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept -- take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw -- they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long. After 6 months of running the pop-up with long lines, the team took the plunge and opened their first physical store in January 2018 in a sleepy strip center in East Hollywood. Demand for their crave-able hot chicken exceeded all expectations and sales have grown every month since opening with consistently long lines throughout the day.

If I had to find something to complain about, it would be that some of the dishes require cooking in the back, and those can take a long while if you order them. Items such as the burgers, and chicken nuggets, are definitely pre-frozen and almost assuredly meant for children. Stick with what they do and you'll be absolutely happy.

Chicken is very tender. If you don't like spicy hot then go for the mild....I got medium and hot to try and there's definitely a kick

They only give you one option of a hot sauce. I would just not recommend this as chicken bites because that's not what it is. It's more chicken pieces. My family did not enjoy this food at all. It went to the garbage after spending a good amount of money on it.
