Now it comes with three tacos, your choice of sauce. As a side you get chips with salsa. Now I am not really familiar with Mexican spices, I can tell you this was really delicious and recommend all to try. Thank you for your support. Until next show be blessed and stay safe. Welcome to the Friday pizza night everyone. Tonight, I am back at a place where you would not really think of getting a pizza. There is a place in Kingston Pa located on Pierce Street called Tirado's Pizza & Mexican Grill. Now a while back I stopped here and tried one of their Mexican dishes, Ill link that video below. Now who would of thought, I didn't, Boy was I impressed, this pizza was really delicious, reminded me of the pizza that I would get years ago back in the 80's, that's how good I thought this was. Now I walked in and grabbed a seat, I was greeted in a welcoming manor where the young man took my drink order as well as bring you some complimentary chips with homemade salsa. The pizza sauce to tasted like a traditional more then a sweet sauce. I would recommend everyone to try this place out. Their menu has something for just about everyone. I will be back to try some more dishes, thank you to the staff here at Tirado's for a great dining experience. But I still tried it, absolutely horrible. The Steak Taco Plate was missing roasted jalapeno, chipotle creme fraiche, cotija cheese. The corn tortillas were dry and inedible. The Fried Tacos were basically fried fish with coleslaw on dry corn tortillas. The batter actually had a sweet taste to it.

Even the patrons there were nice! We tried the pretzel, the wings (dry rubbed with old bay and also the bourbon glazed), shepherds pie, Big Mic flatbread, and the stuffing. The pretzel was great! Slight crunch on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. It came with beer mustard and beer cheese, neither of which were that impressive. I'd probably just have regular cheese sauce or yellow mustard, but it was great on its own...and it's HUGE. It took a couple of days to finish and the texture held up nicely. The wings were also very big and cooked well. All of their flavor options are for wet wings, so when I asked for dry, they offered the old bay. Both were okay flavor wise, but you definitely get a big wing for your money. Sadly, the 2 signature items we got (the sheperds pie and the Big Mic flatbread) were very underwhelming. The pie tasted like it had instant mashed potatoes on top and lacked flavor throughout. The big mic had some of the flavor it was going for, but the toppings were too large (big chunks of beef and lettuce) - would maybe be better if they were cut up smaller. Also, the dough seemed too thick for this (almost like it was made on foccacia bread), a thinner curse would have been much nicer. And the side of stuffing, tasted like regular stove top (which is good), but it was very dry here. Hopefully some improvements could be made because the people were so great.

What I got instead was a…read morerollercoaster experience that started with hope, dipped into confusion, and ended with me questioning every life choice that brought me there. Let's start at the top: Queso: $7 for a bowl so small I thought it was a free sample. I've seen bigger portions in Lunchables. It tasted fine, but for seven bucks, I expected at least a second scoop. Chips: Honestly? Fantastic. Whoever's in charge of the chips deserves a raise. Light, crunchy, salty -- the MVP of the whole night. Diet Coke: Shockingly elite. Crisp. Ice cold. And they hit it with a lemon slice like they were trying to impress me on a first date. Best part of the meal, no question. My Burrito Hawaino: Shrimp, pineapple, mango salsa, queso -- it actually started off delicious. I was ready to forgive the miniature queso bowl. ...Then I found a black hair. And another black hair. At that point my appetite clocked out and left the building. Nothing ruins tropical flavors like unexpected garnish from someone's head. Service: The waiter was nice, polite, and not the problem. He did his job. But no amount of friendliness can cancel out surprise hair in your entrée. Final Thoughts: La Tolteca has potential -- good chips, great Diet Coke, friendly staff. But charging $7 for fun-sized queso and seasoning my burrito with bonus human hair? That's gonna be a no from me. Would I go back? Probably only for the chips and a Diet Coke with that lemon slice. And next time, I'm inspecting every plate like I'm in CSI: Wilkes-Barre.
