Maybe it's because I'm from Arizona, but Mexican food is comfort food to me, and this was what I needed today. The tacos dorados were perfectly crunchy, and I am a s l u t for lettuce, so seeing it come out just fully topped was beyond ideal. The potato & chorizo filling was creamy, a little spicy, and well balanced with the toppings. Oh and that red sauce from the salsa bar? Yeah. You have to try it. It's not like other red salsas that are off just a bit (if you've been to the other run of the mill spots, you know what I mean). It's probably the best balanced red sauce I've had in a while. The green salsa was also good, but wasn't what I was expecting. It was more like a poblano, and less like a tomatillo (still really good though & definitely worth trying). The fish taco was tasty flavor wise, but the fish portion was on the lighter side. If you're looking for protein, I'd pick a different item. The fresas con crema was the star here for sure. I tried to take a better photo but I uhhh dropped the strawberry on myself, and resorted to just savoring the mental image. I am not a huge fan of coconut .. or walnuts/pecans.. but the lady I ordered with asked if I wanted everything on top & I just blindly said yes. Super happy I didn't ask for any changes because all the flavors were so good together.

I ordered Birria Tacos from Tortas Paquime and they absolutely hit the spot. The tacos were…read moreflavorful and perfectly cooked, and the consomé was rich, nice and spicy--exactly how it should be. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion size, and delivery was quick even on a busy Friday, which is always a win. Definitely a go-to spot when you're craving bold, comforting Mexican food delivered fast.

WOW!!! (1) customer service is freaking INCREDIBLE!…read moreFriendly, welcoming, sincere. (2) food is AMAZING!!! I didn't get to try all that much as it was only me but these enchiladas are delish... the mushroom enchilada is by far the BEST vegetarian enchilada I have ever had!

There is a reason Cocina Madrigal was voted Yelp's #1 restaurant in 2022…read more The restaurant itself is currently under renovation, so service is happening out of their food truck for now. Because of that we cannot really speak to the usual interior or ambiance. We did sit on the patio during our visit though, and it ended up being perfect. The weather was beautiful and it made for a really great outdoor dining moment. We were greeted quickly when we arrived and were told we could sit either inside or outside. Service throughout the meal was friendly, attentive, helpful, and the team kept things running smoothly even with the temporary setup. But the food is where this place really shines. We started with Guacamole de Casa, which comes with chips and salsa. Fresh, bright, and a great way to start off the meal. For our mains we ordered Beef Tenderloin Steak Tacos with pomegranate marinade, chipotle aioli, fried peppers and onions, and gorgonzola cheese. These tacos were incredible. The flavors were layered and bold and honestly I am drooling a little just typing this out. We also tried the Barbacoa Green Chile Enchiladas made with slow roasted beef and New Mexican Hatch green chile sauce. Rich, savory, and packed with flavor. To drink we had agua frescas, jamaica and piña, which were both refreshing and perfect alongside the food. Dessert absolutely delivered, too! The churros are dusted with cinnamon sugar, filled with cream, and come with a sweet glaze for dipping. So good! Our server also let us know about a coconut cream pie that was not listed on the menu and we are glad that he did. It was one of the best coconut cream pies I have had, topped with toasted coconut shavings and full of coconuty deliciousness. It is the little details and thoughtful flavor combinations that this place really nails. If you are looking for one Mexican restaurant to take visiting friends or family, or you just want a truly memorable meal, this is an easy pick. With so many awards and accolades, it is very easy to see why this place gets so much love.

From what I understand, the truck moves around to different locations, so it's worth keeping an eye out for where they'll be next. We ordered three Viva Mexico burgers and one bacon avocado burger, plus fries. The total came out to around $80 for the four of us. It's a little on the high side for burgers and fries, but the quality and portion sizes were definitely solid. The fries were a standout. They're hand cut and cooked in beef tallow, which gives them a rich flavor you don't get from typical fries. My son immediately said they're in his top three fries he's ever had, which says a lot. The burgers were big, messy, and really flavorful, definitely a little greasy, but in the best way. The Viva Mexico burgers had great flavor, and the bacon avocado burger was just as good. Overall, if you like a good, greasy burger and excellent fries, La Hambuguesa is worth trying.

My friends and I arrived about 20 minutes before the truck opened, and there were already a few people standing in line. The line moved pretty quickly, and the total time from ordering and receiving our food was only about 15 minutes. At this time, the line wrapped around the truck. The food came out hot and fresh. Filet-o-fish is one of my favorites of all time, and the filet de fish did not disappoint at all! The first bite had us levitating and seeing stars. The tartare sauce that the fried fish was smothered in was delicious and creamy, and the fish fillet itself was tender and flaky. The toasted and soft Japanese bun was the cherry on top. Simple and comforting and nostalgic, but elevated in the best way. We also tried their popular Viva Mexico, but we felt like it lacked in flavor and only tasted spicy, if that makes sense. Beef tallow fries were okay and not anything special. Great portions, however, it was still pretty expensive for a food truck burger. I'm glad I got to try this place out and will be back if the filet de fish hits the menu again, and would try their Signature next time.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly hostess, seated in a roomy booth, and had piping hot chips and fresh salsa dropped off at our table within moments of sitting down. Honestly, the fact that the chips were hot & fresh at the end of the evening was impressive to me! Our waitress was sweet, very friendly & took great care of our group. You never know what you're going to get when it's so close to closing time, but again, I was very pleased with our experience! Typically, even mid-day at other Mexican restaurants, I've gotten chips that are not even remotely warm. At this point, I already knew the dinner would be out of this world!!! Also... the salsa.... Absolutely PERFECT! Just the right amount of spice, the consistency was excellent. YUM! The menu had so many options, it was nearly impossible to choose... I went with the Tostada Verda & I also ordered a side of the Jalapeño Cream Cheese, as I figured it would compliment my Tostada. This addition should not be ignored, I recommend 100%!! It's also good with the chips and salsa ‍ I can't even begin to explain how delicious my tostada was.... Anyone who loves tostadas understands the disappointment that comes along with a SOGGY tostada.... I'm at the point where I expect slight sogginess when I order one of these at a restaurant, because that's the case 75% of the time... NOT THIS TIME THOUGH!! Wow! The tostada was perfectly crisp & didn't have any soggy spots at all.... It melted in my mouth. The fact that Ponchos has mastered the art of keeping that shell on point even when it's piled high with shredded beef, sauces, veggies, etc. is absolutely incredible! !! The meat was out of this world. So full of flavor! & I loved the green chile. Definitely on the Top 3 list of tostadas I've had in my life. After our meal, we were given a quick tour of the place, which was fun. We got to enjoy looking at the photos all over the walls, which really gave it that authentic family owned restaurant vibe. Between this and the wonderful service, it really felt like home. I could easily continue to rattle on about this place, but instead, I'll leave you all with a warning.... If you haven't tried Poncho's yet, YOU ARE MISSING OUT!!

I should of seen it as soon as we got seated. There was a family of three sitting just across from us and where asking to speak to the manager...they seemed upset. Turns out they only have one server for the entire restaurant. The server came and asked us what we wanted to drink, took our order, left to get our drinks.....10+ minutes she comes back....no drinks. It was until 5 more minutes that we got our Iced Tea and Dr Pepper. No salsa n chips yet. The chips n salsa are awesome here but they aren't being served today... Let's wait for the food... The staff here appear to be upset and...this was what the review I started last time I was here. Today's visit over a year from last...is no different. Long wait times, frozen refried food with hard unpleasant shredded meat and the service is lengthy and still terrible. The restrooms get a B- on the Luis Scale and I definitely don't recommend this place. On to the next and Don't forget to tip your servers.
