    Arby's

Arby's is the fast food king of "the meats", but I don't know of them being fast. The one near me was SOOOOO slow and closed during COVID. So when I see one, I stop my for my favs, the Gyro and curly fries. They also serve diet Dr Pepper, not just Diet Coke. Mind you, there can be no one in line in front of me at an Arby's and I expect a ten minute wait or more. There was one car in front of me, so I turned off my vehicle engine and settled in because it was a no pull away Drive Thru. To my surprise the car pulled off within minutes. I turned the corner, and there was just one car. Minutes later, my pooch and I are are eating a Gyro and munching on curly fries. Maybe it was my luckily day or the fast crew. But it was the rare quick trip to Arby's. Oh, and the food was hot too!

    Nope not a good burger

I'm A fan of Good Burger the movie. So when I saw Arby's Good Burger meal, I just had to get it. My family opted to get meals as well. We placed a on line order for pickup. Once we sat down for lunch immediately we noticed what we ordered is not what we got. The burgers didn't begin to even slightly resemble the ad we're very messy and undercooked. Of course, this left us very unhappy and unsatisfied with the purchase. It's called fast food not fast slop.

The crispy fish sandwich is often on special and makes their competition look silly. A sizable piece of fish makes for a great sandwich.

The food is fine. But the service has a lot to be desired. I sit here looking around at nothing but people waiting on their food.

Just average! Nothing special and nothing bad, the usual Arby's which is decent for me.

My husband and I brought our two kiddos in for just that. It was clean, spacious, and updated. Plenty of seating. A fireplace that was on- delightful in this cold weather. For the littles, we ordered a kids grilled cheese meal which comes with one side. We opted for fruit and this time it came with various melons and pineapple (a hit for out kids). The sandwich itself is big so was plenty for them to split. The bread is always favorable here, but the cheese on this one was giving 'Kraft' if I'm honest. It's great they have plenty of children's drink options as well. We grabbed them each a milk. I had the 'pick-two' and got chicken and rice soup paired with the green goddess salad. Soup was delishhhhh, as always from Panera. The salad was a little lackluster though. My husband also raved about the broc-cheddar soup. His paired steak sammie was a little cold however, and it's advertised as being served hot. Overall this was an A-OK experience, but it'll take a lot to put us off from Panera. Still enjoyable a majority of the time!

"Apathy Is Our Recipe"…read more I had a coupon for a free combo meal of my choice from Wendy's, as a consolation for my last crap-tastic experience with them. Wendy's, I gave you another chance, but I'm officially done. The Smell The new signature smell of all Wendy's restaurants now is the stinkin' stankin' smell of grease. The smell hits you in the face when you walk in...and it's the only greeting you're going to get from this trash box restaurant chain. The Service I walked in, and just like the other restaurant, there are four people running around frenetically in the kitchen, but I am the ONLY one in the restaurant. I did not observe any drive through customers. The staff is yacking up a storm about nothing. No one is in any kind of uniform, so I guess Wendy's new look is, "come as you are." Anyway, the kid walking around behind the counter is pacing back and forth and making every effort to NOT make eye contact with me. Remember, I am the ONLY one in the place. I don't know if he was "lost in space," but eventually something broke his trance. I'd describe him as lacking any affect. He didn't greet me at all, but asked what I wanted to order. I gave him my order. He was pleasant enough when I asked a question, but he mumbled, and never looked up from the counter. I don't know what was so fascinating about the floor and the countertop, but that is where he chose to look--but never up at me the entire time. The Food A gal (I assume the manager) came from the back, because the guy at the register had no clue what to do with this free coupon. She was the most engaging person of the crew that night. There was a woman and another guy in the kitchen. I saw glimpses of them. I assume they were preparing the food, but who knows. The sure were loud. If I were remotely interested in what they had to say, it wouldn't be difficult to listen in on their conversation. I could hear every word. Back to the food. The sign in front read, "Dip in for our new chicken tenders," so that's what I ordered for my combo meal, with a baked potato and diet soda. This is the gross part. The first greasy tender was almost flavorless, but I hadn't eaten all day and it was 7 P.M. The second tender was a solid piece of cartilage or tendon. I'd never bitten into a piece of chicken like this. It was about a 1/2" rectangular piece of something rubbery and clear running through the entire piece of chicken. If I didn't know any better, I'd swear it were a rubber band. Yuck! Puke! I was done. The Restaurant Remember when Restaurants used to be colorful and fun? Not anymore. This location doesn't even look like the Yelp picture anymore, not that it was ever a trip to Cudahy. They stripped out the carpeting and replaced it with this "greige" tile. If Benjamin Moore had to assign it a color, it would be called "Despair." There was nothing on the off white walls. The upholstered chairs were gone and replaced with these wooden and metal chairs with exposed bolts in them. It was like eating in a prison laundromat. Cleanliness First, I commend the staff for what appeared to be the "effort" of washing their hands. They did this several times while I was there. The problem is, rinsing your hands under cold water for two seconds with no soap is not really doing anything. It is not washing your hands. It's performative. The restaurant itself was not egregious. The tables were clean, for the most part. The restaurant was barren, but hardly sterile. The tile had some spilled soda on it that no one bothered to clean up. the mats were littered with debris--how about one of the four of the staff take out a carpet sweeper or vacuum. Where is the mop? There were little "chits" of paper and straw wrappers strewn about the dining room. The staff did nothing to clean anything, but they sure shot the breeze talking LOUDLY amongst themselves. The soda machine--the one with "over 100 flavors," had splatters of syrup all over it. It's like when you walk into a bathroom stall and it was apparent the last person was sick. You all know what I'm talking about. The Attitude Wendy's has "given up." It's apparent they just hate the public. The dining rooms alone discourage you from wanting to be there. They are not warm, welcoming, or colorful. The staff in any of these restaurants does not greet you. Heck, you have to BEG them to wait on you. I stood there for five minutes waiting, hoping, for someone to even witness my presence. It's such a stark contrast between the service you receive when you walk into a Culver's or Chick-Fil-A. I needed salt for my baked potato and had to come to the counter twice and stand there while my food got cold because I could NOT get the staff to SEE me. It's a pervasive problem in ALL the Wendy's I've visited. The food is flavorless. The one star is for the Diet Pineapple Fanta soda. I used to love Wendy's. What happened?

So what if I ordered a fish sandwich, I am the PAYING CUSTOMER, I can order what I WANT. The sandwich was crusty hard around the edges and I absolutely know for a fact that it was not made fresh or even close to being made fresh. I know what a fresh fish sandwich is supposed to taste like. I couldn't eat it, and tbh it was so bad I wouldn't even give it to my dog to eat! For the simple fact that I have no clue how long that thing had been sitting on their food shelf under the heat lamp. Disgusting. This is disturbing in every sense because I also know that restaurants (especially McDonald's because my sister worked there in the past) have time limits on how long prepared food can sit before having to be THROWN AWAY. And I can only assume that this sandwich was well past that time limit and SHOULD HAVE BEEN TOSSED OUT. I hope I don't get sick from eating the two bites that it did take. I should have known better, this location is not well managed and food is always mediocre. However, I will add that the rest of my order was ok. And the employees were super nice and greeted me with a smile. That's why I gave them 3 stars.
