The fries were excellent, but the sandwich did not have as much flavor as he expected. I ordered a breakfast burrito that was stuffed with hash browns, sausage, and eggs. It was covered with melted cheese and salsa. It was so huge I made three meals out of it. I thought it was tasty. In my mind I was making a "healthy choice" but in reality I felt like I was about to eat a loaf of bread. I thought it seemed silly to pay only $2 less for a half a sandwich so I ordered the whole but then shamefully threw away most of the bread and ate only the innards which were also pretty boring. Even though I'm trying to keep my carb intake in check--I'm fully capable of for example enjoying a whole loaf of challah in one sitting if inspired but this wheat loaf did not inspire those kind of urges. If was ever forced to eat this same sandwich again I might ask for a side of vinaigrette, giardiniera, avocado. Something. The people were right: this was a dry sandwich. The reason I was even in Golden is because I wanted to test the feasibility of taking the W line to the Golden government center that is 2 miles from downtown and then riding my bike to have a picnic by Clear Creek. Turns out that yes, this is great with the understanding that the bike ride back to the light rail is way more intense when heading back to Denver. All uphill on my single speed! Without the Aspen Buddha, since it was 95 degrees or so I might have died had I not eaten/rehydrated. I am thankful for that. Also thankful for the life lesson about bringing my own picnic so I only have myself to complain to next time.

When I walked there on 7/7, it had closed early and there was a note on the door. I went back again on 7/8 and found the same note and the store was still closed. Today I returned to the Main St location and explained that I had placed an order but no one had been there. The employee was very helpful, looked up my order, and we discovered it had actually been sent to the N Barlow Rd Walmart location. They told me this mix-up happens often and even tried to contact their manager to see if they could help, but couldn't reach them. I then went to the Walmart location and explained the situation again. The employee called the manager, who said that because the order had already been made and thrown away, they would neither refund my money nor remake my order. I understand that I made the mistake when ordering, but given that the Main St store was unexpectedly closed for two days and their staff genuinely tried to help, I was disappointed that the Walmart location wasn't willing to offer any solution. A little understanding and customer service would have gone a long way.
