When you get there, no refunds are possible. You will be asked to contact Customer Support through the app, but the app only has advice from a computerized program, and it cannot process the idea of a refund or cancel the order. In the end, it will tell you to speak to the manager of the store for a refund. However, the manager working today will not give a refund. She will shrug her shoulders and, in an offensive voice, say that the money does not go to her store (which is definitely not the case). At least that was our experience. There is no concern at all that you have paid for items, do not receive them and that no refund is offered. So this is the story: This afternoon at 2 p.m., my husband and I put in separate orders for meals at the Cambridge Popeye's. He ordered a large combo butterfly shrimp meal through the app, and I ordered a chicken meal with macaroni and cheese. When we pulled through the drive-through, they directed us to come to the window only to be told that they did not have any shrimp and never had any shrimp that day. There was no "I'm sorry" or "What can we do to make this right?" From past experience I can tell you that this is not the normal procedure from this restaurant. There is also no refund. The manager said that she does not give refunds, shrugged her shoulders and walked away. She could not have cared less if she had tried. We were told that the shrimp may come in on a truck tomorrow by a fellow at the drive through window. However, the money was already taken. This is seriously TERRIBLE business. In addition, I placed my own order for food, and macaroni and cheese was part of the order. I paid extra for this, but I was told that they had no macaroni and cheese that day. (?) Is it necessary to call ahead in order to verify that food to be purchased is actually available before paying for it? Then, the extra money I paid for the macaroni and cheese was not refunded (although I could already see that it would not be since my husband's order was not refunded). Of course, there was no chicken ready (at 2 p.m.?), and I was directed to a parking space and waited 25 minutes for my chicken meal, minus the macaroni and cheese I paid for. Although the manager is apparently completely ineffective in her lack of any interest in the customers, there was a fellow from inside who was kind. He did care. He directed us initially to the parking lot when we first came to pick up our orders, and came out twice to check on us. Of course, no one apologized. That is not done at Popeye's apparently, at least not at the one on Ocean Gateway, in Cambridge, Maryland.
