Do not come here, GO TO THE NEW ANIMAL PARK IN BROKEN BOW!!!!! the walk through is permanently shut down, completely in disrepair, the restaurant hasn't been open in I don't know how long, the gift shop is full of 00's merch that looks like it hasn't been bought since the 00's so they don't want to buy new/better looking inventory. The first animals you drive up on are Arctic Foxes that looked sad to be there, even their "about me" plaque picture was them standing in snow but it was 89° in May when we visited and they were just looking half dead. If this is a state or family ran park- they clearly don't care to spend the money to update it. The women's restroom has 7-10 stalls, only 2 now work with black and white last second printed signs saying "flush twice" with painters roller pans underneath- I assume to catch water? But the bathrooms were lowkey flooding anyway. I feel so bad for the pretty high school looking aged girls that work there. They had great attitudes but to work in a place like that is unfair to them. My family and I will never come back here, they need to donate all of their animals to the brand new animal drive-thru park in Hochatown, Oklahoma. That company cares about their zoo!! read more

Well this place was not what it once was. No petting zoo, no rides, no reptiles, it had gone way down hill. In the drive thru safari you see tons of llamas, geese, deer, and donkeys. Drove almost 2 hours for my daughter's birthday just to arrive and be told they are closed which made no sense because according to their times should have been open. And no weather was not a factor it was dry and sunny. Really a huge disappointment. Imagine spending hours in the car and your 4 year old sooo excited to go do this just to be turned away. We love taking our beginning band students to the Arbuckle Wilderness Funfest competition each spring. The kids have a blast riding the two safari buses and feeding all the animals. The safari lasts about an hour. Great memories! read more

Big let down in my opinion. It is run down and the animals looked a little unkept. It was a lot of donkeys and ducks. We saw 2 zebras, 1 giraffe, a few ostriches, a rhino and buffalo's. Similar comments as what other Yelpers mentioned that this drive-thru zoo is run-down and probably have seen better days. The restroom in the back of the gift shop was not in the best condition. Driving through the park and viewing the animals was fine. There were enough of the same or similar types of animals to see, but they don't have a wide variety. Feeding the giraffe from the car was a cool experience though, especially if you have a sunroof. We also saw a white tiger in it's cage and it looked stressed, totally reminding me of Tiger King's place. I've been to plenty drive-thru zoos across America, and this one would be the lowest ranked one on my list because of the reasons above. However, if this is the closest drive-thru zoo near you and you got little ones that love animals, this will suffice if you're okay with their admission cost which seems a lot for what they have to offer. read more

At first glance, we thought the place was closing or close to closing. The blond teen girl that cashed us out could really use some social skills training, though. No greeting, no explanation, no please or thank you, and in the gift shop, she rolled her eyes at us. The cashier girl was much warmer and polite. Pros: honestly, the donkeys and llamas/alpacas stole the show for us. They are well aware that they will be fed by the humans in the car and they gang up on you, and it's hilarious. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. There was a nice mixture of wild animals to come across, and the park itself is huge. It seemed to never end. I recommend getting the 6 cups of feed (or more!!) because you will need it. Cons: obvs the blond girl. The roads have major cracks, potholes and missing chunks, so if you have a sedan, I wouldn't advise that you drive it. You're better off in an SUV or truck that can handle traction and steep slopes. My friend and I had serious concerns about the "artic wolf" enclosure, the hyena enclosure, the kangaroo enclosure and the white tiger/liger enclosure. IF that's an artic wolf, he was parched, and doesn't belong in a dry, hot shade-less enclosure. The hyena looked dead, the kangaroos had no physical or mental stimulation and the tiger was super overweight and clearly anxious, as he circled his tiny enclosure repeatedly. Low-key, I wish the state would investigate this place. In the gift shop, the poor Amazon parrot was lonely, which is never healthy, and the monkeys had tiny cages. The products sold were overpriced items you could buy from Amazon or Temu. We were also very confused by the random, decrepit train cars decaying in the parking lot section. Overall, I would recommend for a family that wants to be drooled on by llamas and donkeys, but don't have high expectations and definitely don't come in your honda Civic. read more

This place is so much fun! My family and I had never been to a drive thru wilderness park where you can feed the animals and see a lot up close. It's a good laugh and the drive out there is a very peaceful. We really enjoyed seeing every animal. The donkeys and llamas were our favorite because they love to stand in the way and also have zero shame of sticking their heads in the cars to take food one donkey scared my daughter and she dropped all of the pallets and made a mess, (still to this day I find them in my car LOL). But overall this definitely a place that needs to be checked out and I will for sure go back again with my family!! read more

We had an absolute blast experiencing this trail. It was so much fun for us and the animals made us laugh the whole entire time. When you pull up you can also buy feed and we bought the biggest bag. We still had a little feed left over so we gave it to the last animals we saw. You definitely don't want to run out of feed while you're on the trail. The trail is a little narrow and hilly but it's a long trail which makes it worth the price. We saw so many different animals and I always think about the beautiful long horns we saw during the drive. read more

Let me tell you, this was a frickin' adventure to say the least! I've always wanted stop here as I passed through during many visits to and from Texas and Oklahoma. Well...after the rain had passed, I said what the heck, I'm exiting. Yolo solo...yeeee! Little did I know...the donkeys, llamas, and ginormous camel had been waiting for me. No one else...just for me! The animals were hungry y'all. With bravery I entered, ordered a cup of food and drove the winding, never-ending safari road. The animals were fearless and me...well, not so much haha. Gratefully I didn't roll any up in my windows. It cost me around $21, and honestly I felt it was worth it...but I tend to value experiences even if short. This didn't feel short though haha. I did like to see the animals roaming freely (they seemed happy) and the lake was gorgeous. I would come back, especially with kids and others! I'm glad I got my own terror out of the way first. I want to give them 5 stars bc my family had a blast. Feeding the animals was awesome. At first we didn't see any but towards the middle they came out and started eating. We got two cups of food and I wish we had gotten more. Lots of animals. Cool experience But... the bathrooms were DISGUSTING. They have a sign that says the clean every 15 min but you can tell that's a lie. They smelled like a zoo.. they were absolutely disgusting and not taken care of. Refused to let my family use them. A very mild form of tiger king without the tigers. Ha. Ok, had to go there. But, it was nice. We arrived right as they opened. We did not have to wait long. We paid, and had a military discount. We bought 4 cups of food as well. We rode around slowly stopping and never felt like we were having to rush. We actually went around a second time. The staff that we did come in contact with were polite and waved. Make sure you pull over so that people can go around you, and do not be a hog and sit at an animal for over 15 minutes creating a line. The customer service was also very poor. It's also evident they don't really take care of the animals. First off, staff at the front booth where extremely happy to help. Positive attitudes, willing to help, very knowledgeable. It was a great first impression. After getting started with the trail, I was a bit skeptical, it was very dead (not literally) lol but nothing in sight. After a few different little stops we came across ostriches. There's quite a few of them. A few bulls and lots of donkeys. I find it a bit cool that pretty much all the four legged animals are free to wonder.. but tend to stay close to the trail to be fed. On the other hand it was a bit sad to see the bigger and wilder animals caged. The simple fact of feeding the many animals was a cool experience. It's a neat place to take children. If you are looking for a mini road trip with a different experience, this is the place. We loaded up two cars with all our boys, ages 23, 21, 16, & 13. Everyone had a great time. We saw all kinds of animals. Some that were fairly familiar, and some that weren't. You can also purchase food so you can feed the ones that come up to your car. Watch out for the ostriches, though. Those guys are serious about their food. LOL! The whole thing probably took us a good hour and a half, which was just about perfect. It's for sure something we will do again. read more

Came to arbuckle safari park with another family, driving up from Texas. Definitely run down but cool to experience. For the animals that had "free rein" to run around, that was cool. Even though I was concerned about some of the animals health and wonder how much attention they get from a vet or their care takers. If any... for the animals housed in closures, very difficult to see. The lion, rhino, giraffe and camel, I wish you had a different life. For such a large park one would think they would have more room. Rough to see. I worked with exotics for a while and never understood why their space was limited sitting on large lots of land. read more

I visited yesterday on 09, August 2019. I honestly expected a bit more out of my visit. What is the most bothersome is the lack of compassion for the animals health and nourishment. It's highly off-putting to see such beautiful animals in such poor conditions. You would think since you are paying such a high price, they staff would use those funds to properly care for their animals. For starters all of the animals look very sad, hungry and many look like they need medical attention. The camel had blistered sores all over his/ her joints. The kangaroo looked highly malnourished and had many patches of hair loss/ thinning. Alpacas had matted fur. Obviously you expect the babies to be excited for treats when people come around, but these animals almost seemed as if they were starving for food. Many look so hungry, drained, unhappy and just in to much pain to actually move. Be sure to drive an suv or a truck here, or you can definitely expect to have damage to your car, the trail has such a neglect for the roads. I do understand it's dangerous to attempt to pave a roadway with wild animals around but a dirt road would have been a better option rather than neglected pavement with potholes a foot deep. Unfortunately I made a two hour commute from Dallas, Texas expecting a beautiful experience and left with more of a saddening heartbreaking experience. If anybody is okay with seeing animals in these conditions, you're honestly just a sick individual. I think a rescue should be called in immediately to give these animals proper care and attention. Don't bother speaking to staff in the gift shop either, they are rude and rather unapproachable. I will be following up on these conditions and will be reporting this location to the humane society and wild life rescues. If you're wanting to take your children to see happy and playful animals, this is not that place. You will sadly be traumatized by these conditions upon your exit. What can I say?! If you love animals and zoo's then you will most likely love this place! You get the opportunity to get close and personal with some cool animals. I do mean close! Real close, the animals come in for a face to face encounter, looking for those delicious pellets of food. Some might say they are a bit excited even slightly aggressive. So watch out with little ones. The donkey.... Oh the donkey, well let's just say he almost ripped off the handles of our brand new van looking for some food. It was bad- to be fair they have signs posted everywhere warning you, that you enter at you're own risk. And they are not held responsible for damages. All in all we all had a good time, but if you're not ready for a close encounter with really hungry and pushy animals I would suggest a zoo or something like that- for me it was a great place to visit one time... but probably wouldn't go again, unless we used their guided vehicle tour service, and spare my poor vehicle the donkey! I feel that it's very reasonably priced and their souvenir shop was a cool place to check out some animal themed toys for our small kids. read more

We had a lot of fun. This is one of the longest drive through animal parks we've done. Definitely good value for the money. The park, like so many I've seen, is run down. The donkeys are the king of the safari because they're everywhere. They do have a tiger and the giraffe oh and the rhinoceros. There's a 25-35min wait outside. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ! Should be shut down ! The roads in and out are atrocious ! The animals have nothing to graze on. The amount of trash and empty feed cups that are scattered in the pastures is not acceptable ! There are donkeys, llamas, and pathetic rejects of eland. In limited numbers. It's a ripoff ! The watering holes/pond/tank is stagnant ! Basically there is one or two exotic animals houses in crappy enclosures. One giraffe, one tiger, one hyena, several wolves, one rhino. A few scattered buffalo... it's basically empty in most of the drive through areas with the ground overgrazed ! Oh and few Chinese water deer slopping through the stagnant water and mud. When you first drive in you see all the junked work vehicles and trashed out areas !!! Pathetically disappointing and I feel sorry for the animals. The petting zoo area was closed or I'm sure I'd say more ! Oh and it was supposed to open at 900 and the staff finally showed up to open at 915 ! I'm not against these establishments at a but filth is filth and at 41$ for 2 people you should be able to afford to care for your stock. read more

Definitely a fun experience, but the there are some cons. I suggest not going on a hot day because most of the animals are hanging down on the lake to cool off. Obviously you cannot get out of your car if you want to feed them. Today, I went and it has been around 100 degrees. There were many animals to feed but most were hanging in the lake. Some animals were timid, stressed, and fully skin and bone. You can tell that the deer in some of my photos is skin and bone. it took almost all of my food but was very afraid at first. Several donkeys throughout the journey were following us until we gave them food. Now usually i would find this funny and not a problem, but towards the end we started running out of food. A couple of donkeys followed us for 5 minutes until we gave them food. They could've gotten injured by the car. I would say that the ostrich is pretty nice, and doesn't stick its head into peoples windows, Unlike last time I came 2 years ago. This is my 2021 update: walk around & rides not open, but drive through is worth a try again. The animals looked much happier & healthier. Nice variety. So great to see! 1 horse needed shoes. It's hoofs we're badly cracked. The donkeys had some small wounds, probably from biting each other (idk how anyone could stop that). The road was bumpy, but not washed out or scary. This drive-thru animal feeding experience is ok for families who have not seen some animals up close. The roads are not just bumpy. Some huge holes really should be filled! They do not have a wide variety of animals. Mostly, emus, donkeys (get very close and bite car handles), a horse, cow, Buffalo, a camel can be fed from car. Cars do get backed up if an animal decides to block the road or another driver stops with no room to pass. There is more driving through bumpy rocky terain than actually seeing/feeding animals. Prices for entering and optional feed is a bit high for what you experience. We didn't go inside the walk-thru or gift shop. Any animal encounters for us are special so we enjoyed them. (I may have forgotten a couple more animals because so many donkeys and wild Canada geese) read more

We are most definitely coming back in May to visit again.The Alpaca/llamas are first to see at the beginning of the trail and will try to eat all your animal feed I recommend saving it for the Ostriches Zebras and the other animals that are towards the end of the park.All the animals where fun to feed we where there for about 2 hours . Next time where bringing the Jeep some , of the trails had steep hills and our 2WD Honda kinda struggled.Lots to see lots of fun. read more

First time going to something like this so wasn't sure what to expect. There is a small gift ship on the side before you go through the "toll booth" to enter. Bought a bag of food and got 6 cups, thought that was how much food we were getting to feed the animals, but no, literally we got 6 cups so don't make the same mistake I did. We just needed 2 since it was just the two of us. It was about 100 degrees out and around 1 or 2 pm so I wasn't thinking we were gonna see to many animals out in the mid day heat. We started driving around, at 5 miles an hour, and we saw nothing! We went around a few curbs and up and downs some hills and nothing!!! I was getting super upset at the amount of money we spent and there were no animals in sight. Finally when we got down to the water part, we started to see some animals...after that...it was way more fun. You gotta be sure to hold on to your cups cause some of the animals seem like they would take off with it if you didn't hold it right. Over all this was a really good close up experience and the animals were friendly and tame. I would suggest to stop by and see this if you had the time. Just have more patience than me lol read more
